Chapter 1
It all started with a simple game of sonic. Phil and I were sitting on our couch parallel to the TV in our new flat. We imitated the SEGA ™ jingle as usual and started Sonic 4. Phil started with the controller whilst I watched him play and chatted with him. We start the game and already the impeding wall of doom sneaks up behind sonic.
"Oh god it's the impending wall of doom" I moan. Phil chuckles.
An inevitable green wall slams down in front of sonic and he's trapped. The impeding wall of doom would surly come to squish him soon enough
"Ah! I'm stuck!" Phil shouts. I can't help but chuckle at his adorable "ah" sound he always makes… But then the impending wall of doom came in sight.
"No! go go go! Fuck! Oh great you lost one life already."
So sonic began his journey back from the beginning. Phil at least advances a little farther this time, but sonic is always faced with new threats to overcome.
"Run Phil! Jesus!"
"I'm trying" he whined.
I didn't like to hear him sound like that, but I was frustrated.
"Don't stop to have a picnic or the wall of doom will get you." I joked.
Sonic ran in-between to closing walls and was crushed between them.
"Dan, I was supposed to wait there! It's all your fault. "
"Why is it my fault?"
"I should call you death causer."
I squinted at him and scowled. The level began again.
"This time help me Dan."
"Concentrate!"
Phil keeps playing the same level over and over and is nearly out of lives. It's about time I was allowed to play! He's been playing almost an hour now. But the hour didn't feel that long. It felt like minutes. Just talking to him while he plays passes time, even though he really should focus on the game.
"Help me Dan and don't be horrible."
"Okay. Spin, spin, spin, spin! GOD DAMMIT GO! SPIN! LIVE! "
Sonic was nearly crushed by the impeccable wall of doom, but by my guidance of course Phil made it ;)
"Yessss! So you're on your last life Phil?"
"yeah….. AH! Nooo it'over"
I stared at Phil with my look of disappointment and he pouted. He looked so cute. His pouted lips and puppy dog face it was hard to resist his innocent look. His lips were so tempting… Wait what are these thoughts. I shouldn't think like this he's just my best friend. And I'm gunna whip his ass in sonic.
