Ugghhh man school sucks. Glad it's over. I haven't updated anything in a while I figure I should start with this haha well here ya go.
"Really Aerith I'm fine" Aya said as aerith tried to force her to lie down.
"No Aya! You need to rest!" Aerith said and cloud brought in a wet towel.
"What happened?" He asked quirking an eyebrow.
"I got sick in the cafe" aya muttered as aerith tuck her into the bed tightly.
"Aerith please-" a spoon of soup was put into her mouth and aya scrambled out of bed and gripped the trash can.
"I got sick because I've eaten to much" she groaned and yuffie helped her up. Her knees shook and cloud picked her up.
"Hey chill in my room a bit.. The familiar smell could do you some good" Aya shakily nodded and rested her head against his chest. Wit was the same heart beat she slept next to in all the hell holes she'd been in. And it felt like home. It was steady and soon Aya was asleep asleep. He laid her down in his bed and watched her. She gripped a blanket close to her and whimpered.
"Shh sh" he smoothed down her hair and she calmed. Quietly he walked out of the room and opened the door slightly.
"Aya's asleep but she won't stay like that long unless I'm here. I'm not sure but-"
"It's because she missed you cloud. When we first met she said she was looking for you.. And as she put it 'My beloved cousin Cloud'.. She could have been looking for others of your clan but she searched for you" Cloud pinched the bridge of his nose tightly.
"Whatever we'll get out of the house so you two can bond. She told me about those kinds of things with you guys... How your family works and all that jazz" Cloud nodded and Yuffie left pushing everyone else out of the house. Cloud walked back and laid next to Aya.
"I'm sorry I left you" he said and smoothed her hair," I just wanted to protect you... I wanted to come back for you and take you some place safe.. Your father and mother trusted me with you and I fucked up big" she rolled on her stomach and he sat up. He rummaged around in his drawers until he found her old hair ribbon and a comb. He carefully gathered all her hair and gently combed it smooth. He braided it tightly and tied the end securely. He laid back beside her and rested his hands behind his head softly singing a lullaby his mother had sung him.
Yuffie did a few cartwheels and fell on her butt.
"I hate you too gravel" Leon smirked inwardly as Aerith giggled. Leon rolled his eyes and he stopped when he thought her heard something.
"At least you could be a gentleman and help me up!" Yuffie said as Aerith pulled her up laughing.
"Shh.. You hear that?" They stopped and listened.
"Help" it was weak and strangled. The looked around and ran to the source of the sound. They ran into an alley and found a boy trapped under crates.
"Hang on kid we'll get you out!" Leon and yuffie started moving the crates and Aerith kneeled next to the boy and held his hand.
"Hi I'm Aerith. What's your name?" He looked like he was in great pain.
"I'm David..." He looked at her hand. It felt so soft in his rough callused one.
"Are you hurt David?" Aerith asked concerned. He shook his head no. Once the crates where cleared away Aerith helped him stand.
"I'm sorry" he said and looked at his feet. The three of them looked at him puzzled.
"Sorry for what? It was an accident" yuffie shrugged and she shook his head violently.
"I'm sorry for this" three men appeared behind each of them and injected them with a blue serum.
"Good job little brother" Orion patted David's back and he looked down.
"Yeah sure" they picked them up and carried them away leaving a note with a wax seal on one of the crates.
Aya screamed and bolted upwards.
"Master!" She jumped to her feet but Cloud got her first.
"What's going on!"
"Master! Let got of me!"
"No!" She whirled around and slammed her shoulder into his chest. She went sprawling and started crawling out of the room. Cloud wheezed and lunged for her.
"No tell me! Why do you call Yuffie master" Aya whimpered and whined slightly.
"I had left that world... I found a place with a town and people... I was walking late looking for a place to stay when I was tackled. The man said if I was quiet and listened he wouldn't kill me. I tried to get away and he was about to smash my head in when Yuffie came and slammed his head into the wall with a crowbar.. She saved me from rape and death. I took a blood oath to be her servant until she deems me worthy of freedom..." Cloud blinked.
"But you drift" he said thinking aloud.
"She calls on me when she needs me... And something it wrong!" She punched Cloud's jaw and ran grabbing her night stick and a few charms. She jumped out the window and dropped to the ground.
"Master where are you?" She whispered and ran with Cloud following behind.
