From that day on, Alexis and Garrison were dating. Madeline, devastated, moved back to England with her parents, and never spoke to Garrison again. Alexis and Garrison ended up getting married, and having two kids, both whom which they couldn't keep out of the water.
A/N Look, I know it's short, but this is an alternative ending. This isn't how I really wanted the story to end, I started typing it one day, forgot about it, wrote the next chapter, and then found this one.
