Elsewhere in the city of Arkham lies the cities Asylum. The scream of the tormented can be heard besides the laughter of the criminally insane but from one room nothing was heard. There was no laughter, no screams, no chanting just a figure with dark red hair in a straight jacket, hunched over in the corner and cradling himself. His bright red eyes just continue to look into the darkness of the corner and away from the light of the moon shinning through the small window of the room. A nurse looks into the room through a slot and slides a tray in through a second slot.

"Lunch Cthugha." The nurse says before closing both slots and continuing down the hall with another nurse.

"What's wrong with that one?" The second nurse asks.

"Pyro maniac. He tried to burn the forest of Arkham claiming he was trying to kill a monster."

"Sad when they see things."

"Indeed." The nurses turn as a doctor walks by them in the hall. The doctor turns into the patients room. He removes his coat to reveal a scarlet suit underneath. He then reaches up his sleeve and pulls out an whole walking kane. He reaches up the other sleeve and pullsout a squashed down top hat that he pops up.

"Nyarlathotep present and gorgeous." The cosmic entity says as he is interrupted by another's voice.

"Do not steal my lines brotherling." Says a female voice.

Nyarlathotep looks into a mirror and sees a female figure with teal blue hair, emerald green eyes and snow white skin looking back at him.

"Of course not sisterling. How could I outshine your beauty after all Nya?" Nyarlathotep says to his alternate self causing her to blush.

"Oh brotherling you flatter me so. Oh wait, what about our friend?" Nya remembered. Cthugha just ignored them and continued his ranting in a trance like state.

"Here's to hoping he won't recognize us." Nyarlathotep slowly approached Cthugha. He grabbed his shoulder gently but had no reaction from Cthugha. He slowly turns Cthugha to speak to him face to face.

"Cthugha? Do you know me?" Nyarlathotep said as the beast of flames pondered.

"Nyarlathotep. There... There was something I was supposed to do to you. Something important." Cthugha tried his best to remember.

"Thats great crazy. Now come with me and we'll go see Yog Sothoth and he'll make all of the voices stop." Nyarlathotep said as he helped Cthugha up and walked to the door with him.

"You mean those voices you put in his head brotherling?" Nya asked as they passed the mirror. Nyarlathotep ignored her and continued on. The tip of his kane began to glow.

"I've got a message from Yog." He answers it by holding his hand up to his head and listening to his thumb while speaking into his pinkie finger. "Hello?"

"I have bad news Nayrlat. You have company coming." Yog Sothoth told his messenger.

"Humans? I'm not worried about them. It's the guy who spits fire that burns hot enough to make the Big Bang seem like a firecracker and wants me dead being right next to me for this whole trip." Nyarlathotep said quietly as he and Cthugha walked down the hallway.

"Not humans. Rune constructs." Yog answered.

"Rune whaty what's?"

"Rune constructs. The power that escaped us didn't just fade away my annoying messenger. There was too much to exit this reality. It merly embodied itself in a form that it was used for the most."

"I'm not seeing the downside in this." Nyarlathotep answers as he awaits for the elevator.

"Our rune energy was used to make a lot of people suffer." Yog says.

"Got it. Avoid the only things capable of hurting us. That was my plan all along." Nyarlathotep says as the elevator arrives.

"Then why, in Azathoths name, are you standing infront of one?"

"Im doing what now?" The elevator doors open and as soon as they do a rune construct leaps out tackling Nyarlathotep. Nyarlathotep hits the ground as a naked creature with its face cut down the middle, both vertically and horizontally, tries to dig its bone tipped finger into Nyarlat face as Cthugha just stood there in a trance looking at the ground.

"Ugh! You know there's two of us, right guy? Seriously, Cthugha, feel free to tag in anytime here. No? I'm just on my own? Figures." Nyarlat looks at the construct. The construct lets out a screech by opening it's face to reveal a missed placed face underneath. It's mouth was in place of its right eye which was in place of its nose that was not on its face leaving an open nasal passage and ending with the left eye being diagonal and residing in the spot where the mouth should be.

"Oh, you're all kinds of ugly. It's no wonder you hide your face underneath all of that skin." Nyarlat said taunting the creature. He escapes its grasp by phasing through the floor he was pinned to. He resurfaces behind the construct and reachs into his top hat.

"Now I know I've got something in here to deal with you. Here it is." Nyarlat pulls out a giant baseball bat wrapped in a chain with several nails drove through it. The creature charges only to have its face meet the bat head on. It falls to the floor.

"Well that was a ripoff. I was expecting like first boss fight or something but sorry boys and girls, the writer is too good to waste his/her time on that." Nyarlat says as he turns and directs Cthugha into the elevator. The construct gets back up with half of it face skin torn off and part of it's brain showing with a cracked open skull.

"I think you're going have to do better." Nya says to her brother in a reflection from the ceiling of the elevator. The construct charges again. Nayarlathotep just stands there with a blank expression on his face. Right as the construct leaps for him Cthugha lets out a roar realleasing fire like a rocket thruster. The construct falls to the ground as a gooy mass of melted flesh and scorched bones a d that's what was fortunate enough to make it out of the fire.

"Thanks for the save. See? I knew you could be useful if you just did something that benefitted me and not anyone else." Nyarlat said as the elevator doors closed and began to descend to the level they wanted to go to.

"Now I remember." Cthugha said out loud.

"What?"

"I remember what I was supposed to do to you."

"Do you now?"

"Yes. I wanted to kill you."

Nyarlathotep cringed his face as he heard Cthugha remember what he wanted to do most in his life.

"It can never be easy, can it?" Nyarlat said to himself as Cthugha behind him began to catch a fire.
