Patricia chewed on her lip nervously, it had been three days, and still, there wasn't any news on how Eddie was doing. The days dragged on and they felt like one blur. She laid on top of her bed, thinking, about Eddie, about how they wouldn't let anyone, but his mother back to see him until they found further information on his condition. Her homework sat unfinished in her bag, and her eyes stung and she wiped at them. A knock on her wall startled her, but she looked anyways.

"Knock knock," Her mothers voice filled her ears. She sighed softly as her mum sat beside her on her bed. "How are you doing?" Patricia fought the urge to roll her eyes. She sat up on the side of her bed, crossing her legs, one over the other.

"Why do you choose now to 'check up on me?'" She could tell that her mother was taken aback, but she continued speaking. "Why didn't you ask me how my life was going a couple months ago after Eddie and I split up, huh? Why start caring now?" Her voice held an edge to it.

"I've always cared sweetie," Patricia almost laughed, but she held it back.

"You never act like it, never, it's always been Piper this, Piper that!" The red heads voice grew louder, and before her mother could speak again, she went on. "Eddie's in the hospital right now, and you haven't been there for me, it feels like he's the only one that I can really rely on anymore," She blew out a breath, and her mother just starred for a few seconds. It was true, he was the only one that understood her. Her mum reached out to touch her arm, but the redhead hissed a 'don't'. She was not in the mood, she pressed her lips into a thin line, as she watched her mother's face droop. She wasn't sure she really cared anymore, that's how she felt

Her mum didn't speak for quite a long time, and when she finally did, Patricia had given up.

"I care, I really do," Her mum's voice sounded truthful, but she didn't really know what to believe anymore. She rolled her eyes as she looked over to check her phone. She wanted to know more about Eddie. Scratch that, she needed to know more about Eddie. She needed him to turn out alright.

It wasn't even an hour later that Patricia found herself with her phone in hand, walking into the main entrance to the hospital. She'd been there so many times already, that she was already fimilar with the smell, and surroundings. Some people would have called it sad, but they didn't know how she was feeling. She turned a couple of corners and found herself in the waiting room again. Two older ladies sat a few chairs down, their eyes glued to knitting magazines, while Patricia's stayed glued on her lap. She wasn't sure why he had come, it wasn't like they were going to let her up to see Eddie anyways.

"Need some help?" The voice caught her off gaurd as she looked up. The person that stood there was a girl, about the age of her mum if not younger. She slowly nodded at the women as she spoke up.

"We'll actually I was wondering if Eddie Miller was excepting visitors," I was worth a shot to ask right. The women looked as the clip borad in her hands and flipped past a few pages before biting her lip. "He might be labeled under Edison Miller or Edison Sweet," She added, maybe Mr. Sweet had asked Eddie to change his last name over the summer, she honesty didn't know. The women bit her tongue and flipped over a few more pages on the clipboard.

"It seems that there is an Edison Miller, mother Cassandra Miller, father, Eric Sweet," Patricia nodded softly as she felt her heart pound in her ears. It honestly surprised her that his mum had even listed Mr. Sweet.

"That's him," She noted quickly so the women could continue.

"Yes it seems that Mr. Miller is only limited to a few visitors as was decided this morning," She eyed Patricia. "What is your relation to him?"

"I'm his girlfriend," Het heart leaped slightly at the word girlfriend, and she held back her smile. For a moment she saw the understanding in the women's eyes and she motioned for Patricia to get up.

"Just between you and me, I'll let you go up and see him," She felt the urge up hug the women then, but she was Patricia, and she didn't do hugs.

The elevator ride up to Eddie's floor was a silent one, and all that the redhead could hear was the blood as it rushed to her ears. She was preparing herself for the worst. She shut her green eyes and leaned her head back against the wall until she heard the little ding and the doors opened up. She took a breath and walked onto the floor.

She passed a nurses station as she looked at the floor numbers, and then there it was, his room. The door was shut and her fingers curved around the metal handle. She blew out her breath and pushed the wooden door open.

The busies, they were the first thing that she noticed. They crossed down his cheekbones, and then it was the stitches, and they ran down and over his forehead. A white cast was wrapped over his left arm, and the heart monitor beeped in her ears. Eddie's face was almost as white as the bed sheets, black circles laid under his eyes, and a bandage stuck your above the bedding. A blue rocking chair sat next his bed, and she plopped down into it. She looked around a little before clutching is pale in hers. But it almost scared her, she didn't want to break him. Se sat in the silence of the heart monitor as it beeped away.

Maybe it was a sign that he would be okay.

After all, he was the Osiran, but he was also her Eddie.

I know that it's been forever, but high school has been messing with all of my free time. I promised myself that I would finish this chapter before the weekend though, and I see I did. It's not that I don't want to update, because if it was my choice then I would update every week. Another thing, my school has officially blocked Fanfiction from our ipads when were there. So no more in class free time updates. :( I know it sucks. But I do miss you guys,
