Renesmee was silent. So far this game made no sense. Why would you want to expose your personal information to someone that you hardly know. It seemed to be an unessicarily embarrassing way of sharing your feelings and thoughts with your friends. Then again, the whole idea if sharing was a little lost in her family. Most if the time they were together and when they actually did have something to share it was plucked from their mind before they could even speak.

"Nessie?" Pearl looked at her quizzically "Truth or dare?"

Renesmee had no idea what she should answer. She was not as ready to share her secrets as some people were, but, of course, she could lie. If they asked about some things, she would have to. However, it seemed that being forthcoming was the only way to play this particular game. She could always pick dare, but after witnessing a round of truth, she didn't really want to risk the level of the dares.

"Truth." She gave in and answered .

Trucy and Pearl looked pleased and it was clear that this was the preferred choice when this game was played.

"Is there any one "special" in your life at the moment Nessie." Pearl asked, her air quotes large and exaggerated.

Jacob

She found herself wrapped in innerturmoil. She wanted to be honest but she had never talked to anyone other than Alice about Jacob but maybe that was more reason for her to tell them .

More difficult than the decision of whether to tell them was the question of how. It wasn't an easy situation to describe without giving out details that she just couldn't give.

Just thinking about him made her heart race, the fear becoming nothing in comparison. She bit the bullet (so to speak) and told them.

"Well, there's this one guy..." She began "...but I don't know what to do."

The girls just looked at her without a word. Renesmee felt obliged to continue.

"The thing is, I've known him for as long as I can remember, and most of the time it's just so natural, you know?"

Her hand twisted on her bracelet.

The girls nodded in response.

"So, what's the problem?" Pearl asked, not unkindly.

"I...I just don't want it to change anything and I haven't even really had a chance to meet anyone else yet. "

"If it was me, Nessie, I would just go for it. You only get one chance in life so don't waste it." Pearl told her.

To most people this advice would be relevant but, as with the majority of things that stemmed from the idea of only living once, they were not nessecarily true. Both her and Jacob could live an eternity which meant that if anything went wrong the regrets would haunt them both for longer than these girls could even consider. On the other hand she had that eternity in order to make up her mind but as Alice had said, it wasn't really fair to Jacob. With no real idea of how to respond, she attempted to remove the attention from herself.

" I'll think about it." She said. And she would, it would be near impossible for her not to think about it, as it plagued her mind almost constantly and he almost lived in the same house as she did. Ignoring him, it the question of "them" as a couple would be as improbable as a meteor falling to earth. She could, however, push it out of her mind for a little longer .

"So, Trucy, it's your turn. Truth or Dare."

Trucy yawned, her mouth seeming to stretch an unnatural amount. It was now almost midnight and in the past two hours they had learnt that all three girls had a massive crush of Klavier and that both Pearl and Renesmee slept with teddy bears at night ( Trucy preferred her playing card shaped cushion). They had also done a couple of rounds of trivial questions and a short game of go fish. Unfortunately, everyone had stayed away from the option of dare. Trucy was greatly disappointed by this as it was always the best way to cause embarrassment.

She yawned again, this time causing a chain reaction in her two friends.

"I think that maybe we should actually get some sleep." She suggested, her eyes drooping slightly.

"Mmm hmm" Pearl mumbled as she crawled towards her sleeping bag.

Trucy thought she saw a slight panic in Nessie's eyes but she figured it was probably her sleepy mind seeing things.

Moments after the light went out, Trucy was well on her way to sleep and she could already hear Pearl's gentle snores.

Renesmee just lay in get sleeping bag, her brain unable to turn off. Sleep was not something she was particularly used to. She did sleep every so often, usually when she hadn't had any blood for a week or so, but it was a pretty rare occurance as there was always something to do and someone to talk to at get house. So far it had only been an hour but she was already so fed up with waiting. At least it was good practice for the rest of her long existence. She could think of no good way to pass the time and no one was awake for her to talk to. Her family were bound to be busy so there was not even anyone she could text, unless...

Almost silently she got her phone from her bag and began a message. Less than a minute after she sent it, the reply came in.

"Of course, I'm awake. Why are you?"

"I can't, and both of the girls are long out. Do you mind if I talk to you for a while?"

Jacob had almost been asleep again when his phone had buzzed. Under normal conditions her probably would have been annoyed, but he could almost sense that it was her and when he knew that it was, he was far from annoyed.

"Do you mind if I talk to you for a while?"

He nearly laughed, at least ten times that night he had contemplated texting her to check she was okay. He could hear her voice from above so he knew she was, but it was literally impossible to keep her off of his mind. Just thinking of her made him smile and he knew that by the nature of their connection, it would never stop being the case.
