A talking, happy-go-lucky giraffe swaps places with Effie just before the 74th Hunger Games, Freaky-Friday style. Oblivious to Panem's way of life, she unknowingly interferes with the Games' events, then busts 4 tributes out of the arena. With the authorities looking for them, the giraffe must now get the tributes to safety—but first she'll have to help them trust each other.

An extended last chapter of Mockingjay, from "Peeta, bearing a warm loaf of bread, shows up with Greasy Sae," to "Real." The other fics I've seen move way too fast. I tried to incorporate everything from the last few paragraphs of the chapter, but extended over a few months. "The weird thing is, it feels kind of reassuring to have the flashbacks."

After the war ends, a group of rebuilders goes back to district twelve, and there's not enough liquor. Not enough condoms either. Thom and Delly's story post canon (we'll still get a few chapters of Peeta/Katniss, but Thom/Delly are the main pair). Prequel to "Letters from New Panem", but they can both be read on their own.
