*Taichi's Apartment* (Draft 5 days away)
Having just woken up from his afternoon nap Taichi had decided to get his night started, his work had been done for the day and football practice was not to begin until mid July so for the mean time he would be having more free time while he worked until soccer started up again. Looking at the mirror he stared at his face trying to analyze any detail that was wrong with it. After a while his thoughts drifted off into the past, one that he would rather forget. Before his past could be brought up in his mind the cell phone in his pocket rang.
"Uh, hello?" he answered it without looking who was calling a habit of his he was working on.
"Tai are we going out tonight or what? I heard the girls there are going to be great and hey being the vice-captain of the soccer team is a great way to get the ladies." Taichi having changed over the years, had done quite well for himself, and was now one of the best soccer players to come out of Japan. Still he didn't let his success go to his head, and while he did want to distract himself the need to go out and hit on random girls didn't seem the ideal way to spend his night.
"No I'm fine, go on ahead without me I have to do some things here, but don't party too hard without me. Talk to you later." He hung up and sighed, now he needed to find things to do so he could occupy his night since going out and parting was now not an option. Having been thinking too much he decided to shower, and then resume his dilemma of what to do for the night.
Once out he changed into a dark blue shirt and brown cargo shorts, looking at himself in the mirror he reminded himself of how he dressed when he was in the digital world minus the goggles. Then at that point he thought about the past, which had been recently unavoidable in his mind; the adventure, the friendships, the memories and then the downfall of it all.
Shutting his eyes, he wished so much that Agumon would be here with him to help him out, his friend, who he hadn't seen since the defeat of Malomayotismon, and would probably never, see again. He became angry with them then himself and finally with the two who were taking everything from him. Why he asked himself, why he had ruined his life and taken someone close to him, and now it was happening again with his sister of all people. He wouldn't have it and he wanted revenge for it, even at the cost of the happiness of his own sister he would find a way to get him back for all that he did.
The thoughts kept going in his head and slowly he formed a plan to end his problems and more importantly get the revenge he wanted desperately. If he was going to be miserable, then at least he wouldn't be miserable alone and he would have the satisfaction that he hit him where it would do the most damage.
A wide grin crossed his face as he thought about how his plan would all come together. Now all he needed was to make one phone call to the person he knew would help him in any way possible. He picked up his phone and began to dial the number. "Hey I have a favor to ask of you, but first I need to ask you one question."
"Sure what is it?" The voice on the other line asked.
*Ishida Residence* (Draft 5 Days away)
The doorbell rang throughout the apartment building, and the person ringing it was waiting patiently for someone to open the door. Finally after a minute a beautiful auburn haired woman opened it and allowed the burnet girl to come inside.
"Kari you're here it's about time, I was waiting for you to show up." Sora said taking out her cell phone and looking at the time. She had been waiting for Hikari for an hour so she could give her the details on the flight and how the rest of the plan was going to be.
"Sorry work was hectic and I had to do a bit of overtime also I needed to turn in the homework that would be due this Thursday and Friday." Sora gave her an apologetic look, since she had forgotten that Hikari was still trying to get things done before she could go to see Takeru.
"Well do you want a drink; soda, water, juice?"
"Water will be fine." as Sora got up and headed towards the kitchen Hikari noticed that it looked to be the size of about half of her and Takeru's apartment. The rest of the place was just gorgeous, the sofas were a pearl white color, and the walls had a cream color to them. The entire walls were filled with pictures of Sora and Yamato on their travels, while Yamato was on tour with his band, The Teenage Wolves that was now renamed to Wolves of the East since they were no longer teenagers. Along with awards and Trophies from both Yamato's band and Sora's Tennis career, they had the place fancied up to their liking and anyone who could see it would be jealous at how they were living and still to be so young.
Coming back Sora took noticed at how Hikari was in awe of the place and its appearance. Then it hit her that they never really came over to visit since either her or Yamato were always away, and the only time they would see them would be at the reunions that had become awkward due to the issue that had happened with Taichi, or for holidays that they would go to at their parent's house. She smiled at how everything Hikari was looking at she made a curious face. "Like what I did with the place? Yamato wanted black furniture and I was not about to have my home made into a black abyss. Remember Kari when you and Takeru have a place where you will raise your child you should pick out the furniture or else you might regret it." Hikari was taken out of her thoughts of the apartment, and laughed at her advice since it was Takeru who was good at picking out furniture than she was.
"It's nice I just noticed that it's big too I mean your kitchen alone is about half the size of our whole apartment, but it's great to see that you two are doing well for yourselves." Sora had felt her home just the right size for the two of them, and never considered how big it looked. She smiled at here and nodded accepting her compliment.
"Well yea it is pretty big, but I asked you to come over here to tell you about when we are leaving to America." Hikari had taken out a pen preparing to write the information so she could memorize it. Then Sora reached into her bag and took out a piece of paper.
"Here this is all the information for the flight, but I will hold on to the tickets just in case you decide to pull something at the last-minute." Smiling Sora showed the tickets before putting them back into her bag.
Hikari felt it right for her to hold on to the tickets, since her life was still pretty hectic she didn't want to run the risk of misplacing her ticket, being the only thing that could get her to see Takeru again. Once taking the paper she looked at the information and was drawn to the price immediately. "Sora are you sure Yamato is ok with pay I mean this is a first class." She was feeling so bad over this that she started to question if she should still go.
Sora seeing that Hikari was getting that look when she felt bad, decided she better say something before things went wrong. "Don't worry Kari the tickets were bought by the record label from Yamato's band." She smiled softly, but was wondering if she would buy the lie she just said
As Hikari pondered what Sora had just told her she decided she would not worry, but wondered who she should thank from the record label? "Ok and well thanks Sora you are always nice to me, but can I ask you something." Hikari had thought about this question she was about to ask her since she had decided to meet her, and maybe even before that when she had wanted to know why Taichi was so against Takeru and hers relationship and so opposed to Yamato's idea. She continued to look at the paper with the flight information hoping that she could ask the question.
Meanwhile Sora began to have a bad feeling about the question was about since Hikari's face looked like she had done something bad, but having that motherly attitude she had wanted to know what was bothering her future sister-in-law. "What is it?" slowly saying the words as she readied herself for the worst.
"Why does Tai hate Yamato, I mean I know they fought a lot, but when he found out I was going to America to see T.K. he went crazy especially when he found out about it being Yamato's idea." Sora had not seen this coming, and the look on her face resembled of a deer being caught in headlights.
Noticing her look Hikari immediately began to regret asking Sora since the look on her face had clearly shown that she knew the reason for Taichi's anger towards Matt and Takeru. "I knew he wasn't over it yet" Sora mumbled quietly out of her mouth, but quickly realized what she said and covered her mouth instantly and turned away to look out the window.
That was the only thing Hikari needed to hear. There was something that happened with them and she wasn't about to let things go since it directly followed her brother and Takeru's older brother, and possibly now their relationship as well. "What is it Sora, what happen between those two?" Sora now became nervous and was avoiding all eye contact with her.
She sighed and tried to compose herself before turning to look at Hikari's eyes. "It's a long story Kari, one that changed everything between Yamato, Taichi and I, and well it goes back to when we started university."
*Flash back*
"Taichi hurry up or we will be late to Yamato's concert." Sora yelled at him as he drove the car to the stadium Yamato's band would be playing in.
"Calm down you will see your boyfriend soon, besides there is still 45 minutes until then so stop your worrying." He talked back to her and stared at her though the rearview mirror.
After about 15 more minutes of arguing the two arrived at the venue and had gone straight to the V.I.P entrance to go meet Yamato and his band. They quickly showed their badges and went through security quickly as they made their way to the band's room.
"Jeez Sora what has you all hurried you seem to be so nervous about something, trouble in paradise huh?" he laughed as they reached the corner of the hall that lead directly to their room.
"It's none of your business Taichi, so stay out of it." This came to a surprise to him since she never really called him by his full name unless he was either in trouble, or she was serious about something, and it seemed like it was the latter.
"Sorry, I… I didn't mean to but in I was just joking, but if something is wrong you know you can tell me." She slowed down and stopped about two doors away from the door that led to the band's room. He stopped before bumping in to her, and looked as she became quiet and thoughtful and knew that what she had on her mind was nothing good.
"No, I'm sorry I didn't mean to get mad at you. It's just… I don't know Matt and I well… it has been difficult and we have had some issues." She stopped and thought if it was right to tell Taichi the problems between her and Yamato. Feeling guilty she stopped and continued walking towards the door where Yamato was.
As she walked away Taichi was left with the curiosity of what she was about to tell him, needless to say he wanted to know what was going on and he wasn't going to take no for an answer. Determined he ran up to catch up to Sora before she reached the door. "Wait what's going on. Come on Sora you know you can talk to me about anything."
Not knowing what to do she just froze there looking down at the floor and avoid Taichi's eyes. Her morals were now fighting the urge to vent out some of the problems that she was having with her boyfriend, but she couldn't help but feel it would be the biggest betrayal of trust. Eventually her urge won out in the end. "Ok, but not today I will tell you tomorrow." She told him and put on the best smile to let him know she was ok for the moment.
*End Flash back*
"So you told him what problems you two were having then?" Hikari asked as Sora paused her story of how the situation had started between Yamato and her brother for the moment. Sora nodded her head and then let out a sigh. "What happen when you told him? Was he mad at Yamato for doing something to you?" Her curiosity was starting to show and ideas were flooding her mind about what exactly the problems were between Sora and Yamato.
*Taichi's Apartment
A knock came on the wooden door of the apartment and was soon answered by Taichi who had sat down watching television, and waiting for a certain someone to come by.
"I'm glad you could make it." He spoke as he open the door and let the person in.
"Thanks and well after you phone call I wanted to discuss this with you." The tall man walked in and took off his shoes and put them on the rack by the door. Taichi showed him to the living room and let him sit down.
Once he was seated, Taichi began to observe the man sitting across from him on his couch. He was about his height maybe a little taller; the clothes he had on were nothing short of professional, with a blue button up shirt and slacks that gave him an executive look. As he looked at his face, he stared into those eyes, those that reminded him of the people who had made his life miserable in his view. Those blue eyes would be the same ones who would help him get his revenge on them. The eyes were not the only thing that reminded him of them, but also the blonde hair he had, although it was nicely combed back unlike how the other two had them, it was still another similarity they both shared, and what irony that he would go to someone who looked like them to help him. He laughed to himself about the irony, but after looking at him he was ready to tell him all about the plan. "Yes we have much to discuss Willis. But first can I get you a drink or anything I have beer if you want one." He stood up and began to walk to the kitchen.
"Yea I will take one thanks, but I wanted to ask you something before we begin." Willis began to wonder how he should ask the question.
After getting two bottles of beer from the kitchen he opened them and gave one to Willis and took his seat. "Sure what did you want to ask?"
Giving a small sigh, Willis began "I know you want revenge on Yamato, but before I get in this can I ask why you hate him so much? I mean you're even willing to get in the middle of your sister's life just to get some type of revenge on him, and I want to know what he did to you." While he had moved to Japan since he started college, he was always close with the digidestined, but over the years he became closer to Taichi, this lead to Taichi finding out about how he harbored feelings for his younger sister, and made him the perfect candidate to begin to drive her and Takeru apart.
Knowing very well for Willis to go along with his plan he would have to let him in on what happen all those years ago. The emotional pain he would have to relive as he had to tell the story was the price to pay for the plan to be a go. "Well I guess you deserve to know, but it's pretty hard for me to tell." He stared at his bottle of beer as he mentally thought he was going to need a lot more before the night ended.
*Flash Back*
Waiting wasn't one of Taichi's strong points and clearly it was showing by the way he was acting in the nearly empty café. His leg was jumping up and down, and his untouched coffee was beginning to cool. He wondered if she would even show up. He thought that she had probably forgotten about what they were supposed to talk about. She did seem happy yesterday maybe they resolved it…. His thoughts were interrupted as an auburn haired girl entered, and looked around. Immediately Taichi stood up and waved her over to where he was.
"Hey, sorry I'm late I had to do some things before I came." She gave an apologetic look, but knew that she had struggled with the idea of coming here, since she was still on edge if she should go on with the talk.
He smiled back and placed his hand on hers that was laying on the table, to let her know that he was here for her. "It's ok Sora I didn't mind waiting, but do you want a coffee or anything?" He was acting the part very well, but on the inside he wanted to begin finding out what was going on.
"No, I'm fine, but thanks for offering."
"So what's going on between you and Yamato?" Subtly wasn't clearly his strong suit either, and it showed also his eagerness to being.
Surprised by his eagerness, she avoided his eye contact, and removed her hands from his and put them at her side. This caused Taichi to mentally slap himself by being too direct and probably ruining his chances at finding out. "Well I don't know really we have argued more lately, and I know he is a closed off person, but he is becoming more secluded lately, and not just with me, but with his brother too. Still that isn't the worse of it, since he got signed he has gone out more and every time I ask him he avoid the question or says it is just band stuff." Hearing this made Taichi wonder why he ever let Yamato go out with her, not that he had a choice, but he had never told Sora about how he felt about her, since she had decided to be with Yamato all those years ago.
"What do you think he is doing when he is out doing what he calls 'band stuff'?" She contemplated the question, but she had already thought of what he could be doing, which weren't things she could ever believe him to do or at least she made herself believe.
"I don't know Tai, I don't know what is happening with him one minute he is the Yamato I love, and the next he is out and not even caring to at least call me to let me know how he is doing or ask how I am. Then when I ask him, about things he gets mad and we argue about the dumbest things." She took a breath and fought back the tears that threatened to come out. Clearly she had been more emotional than she had lead Taichi to believe.
He was now mad at what Yamato was doing, and he didn't care for an explanation or even wanted to hear him out. He was angry that he had hurt the girl he secretly loved all these years, and now he was going to try and correct what he thought was a mistake that was made when Sora and Yamato had gotten together. "Look Sora I don't know what Yamato is doing, but it's clearly not right and not fair for you to put up with his crap. What I want to say is maybe you should take a break and explore other options I mean I know he is your first boyfriend, but there are others out there. I don't want you two to break up, but maybe time apart is what you two need and who knows you might find someone out there that is something better." He paused and waited for her reaction, and it was probably the longest seconds that he had ever waited.
Sora was processing every word he spoke, and took into consideration what he was saying, He had a point that she didn't have to put up with this, but could she really just throw away a 5 year relationship away like that? Her mind was racing with ideas, and nothing seemed right, but she had to decide herself if she would want to continue on with Yamato or maybe it was time to move on. "I…I…I don't know Tai we have been together for 5 years, and I don't know if I could throw that all away, but if I did leave him I have no idea where to begin." She had a defeated tone to her words and her expression had the same feeling to it.
There Taichi had found his opening to tell Sora and he was going to risk it all for nothing, but if he failed he didn't know what would happen, but he couldn't think of it now, he was willing to go for broke. "Well Sora if you decide not to do anything about it I will support you, but if you are only doing it because you don't know what to do after, you don't have to worry I will be with you and I won't let you down." He smiled at her and she weakly smiled back at him, but it gave him enough courage to continue. "But Sora I do need to tell you something." She looked up at him and stared confused at him wondering what else was there to say to her. She had her mind filled up with different ways to handle her and Yamato's situation. She looked into his chocolate eyes and was caught off guard by his last few words. "I know that you are confused and probably don't need anything else to confuse you, but I need to tell you that I love you. I always have, and I never told you since you and Yamato were together, but now hearing all of this I needed to tell you, and ask you to leave him and be with me." He took a deep breath and slowly exhaled while staring at her ruby eyes as they shot wide open at his confession.
Her moth was wide open and it struggled to even make a noise, let alone say a word. Shocked was a huge understatement to describe how she felt, and now her mind was racing with what to say, how to respond, and what to do. Her friend, her best friend had just confessed to her about not liking, but loving her. How was she to handle this right after the previous conversation, and not only did Taichi tell her he loved her since the time she and Yamato were dating, but had asked her to leave Yamato and go with him. She was unable to articulate any words that wanted to come out, and by now she had wished that she had decided not tell Taichi what was going on, but now knowing all of this her thoughts were jumbled and she had no clue what to say.
The seconds seemed like hours for Taichi who was trying to read Sora's face for any type of response, but was faced with just a shocked look that said nothing more. Finally after what seemed like hours she spoke. "Tai I…I…I…don't know what to say I mean we are great friends and all, but I'm with Yamato and aside all our problems I'm not sure what to tell you." She took a deep breath and continued, "Still I need time to think about everything I can't tell you anymore I'm too confused right now." She rose from her chair and started to leave.
Taichi caught her by the arm and pulled her into an embrace. "Sora, please just stay with me." His voice trembled with every word. She couldn't help but want to let her tears come out at that moment, and she just stood there held in her friend's arms. Not caring if anyone was staring she felt safe and at peace for the moment, but then she realized what she was doing. She took a step back from him, which caused Taichi to look into her ruby eyes and he knew that he had done what he set out to do.
"Taichi I think I should go now but I will call you later." She weakly smiled at him and finally left the café. Walking away she had to reflect on the events that happened, and now she had to decide what to do about her predicament. Finally she decided that first she had to get home to get ready, since Yamato had wanted to go out with her today. It was going to be a long day for her and she knew it wasn't over just yet.
*End Flash Back*
*Ishida Residence
Hikari was astonished by what she had heard so far from Sora confiding in Tachi and then her brother coming out and confessing to Sora, made it a lot to process for her. "So what else happened? I mean did you tell Yamato about what happen?" Sora let out a sigh before responding. "No of course not I couldn't well at least not that night."
*Flash back*
"Sora you ok?" A voice called to her as she snapped back from her thoughts.
She took a breath before responding, "Yea just had a long day really. Sorry if I spaced out I didn't mean to do it." She apologized since Yamato had taken her out to eat at her favorite restaurant, and seemed to have planned this date out well. From the driver picking her up at her apartment, the flowers he had waiting for her, he was going all out for her tonight.
Yamato beginning to get concerned for his girlfriend and wanted nothing more than for her to have a nice time with him. He was nervous enough as it was today, but seeing her like this added to his stress, but knew that after tonight he was going to make sure he would never see that look on her face again. He smiled at his thoughts that came to his head, and he was just glad to be spending time with, what he believed, to be the greatest, most beautiful and intelligent woman on the face of the earth. "It's ok if you don't feel well we can go home early I mean I don't want you to force yourself for me." He wanted to make sure she was ok, and if that meant he would have to wait another night, he would gladly do it for her.
She shook her head and smiled at him to let him know she was fine, but deep down the conversation with Tachi earlier was still going through her head. While she loved Yamato she had recently felt him distance, and was being very closed off towards her. She knew he was a person to not express his emotions, but it was getting to the point where she felt like a stranger with him. The silence that followed made her thoughts on their relationship seem like she was being with a stranger. "Sora, I'm sorry." The silence was broken up and she was confused and wondering what he was talking about.
"About what?" She wondered what he could be doing.
He sighed before continuing, and then ran his hand through his blonde hair. "Look I know I haven't been myself lately, and I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I have been having some problems with the band and I didn't want you to worry, and I didn't mean to argue with you I was being a jerk and honestly I don't know how you put up with me." He chuckled a bit and then looked into her ruby eyes looking to see how she reacted.
"Yea, but Yamato you know you can come and talk to me about your problems we are a couple and we will deal with our issues together, and we shouldn't keep any secrets from one another." When she finished the words she spoke, felt too hypocritical since she was keeping such a big secret from him.
"Your right I have been a bit selfish and not included you in my life, but now that I know you will always be there for me, I want you to know that I will be there for you." He smiled brightly at her watching her and wondering how he must be the luckiest guy in the world.
"Well of course I will always be there for you I love you, still it's hard to work to have to be with a rock star." Yamato raised an eyebrow at her comment.
"How so?" smirking as he wondered what could be so bad.
"Well let me think there are the late hours, the fan girls, always traveling…
"Ok ok so maybe it isn't always fabulous, but you know at the end of the day I always think of you." She laughed and blushed at his answer. "There is one thing I do can do to make you not worry about any of those things you know."
Peaking her curiosity she looked at him confused, "What would that be?"
He took deep breath and had determined look on his face then stood up from his seat walked around the table towards her and got down on one knee. "Sora Takenouchi will you do me the honor of being this idiot rock star's wife." He revealed a small ring box, and slowly opened it. Inside was a small ring and on top was a ruby that resembled the color of her eyes and on it had been etched the crest of love along with the crest of friendship next to it.
In pure shock and awe at Yamato's proposal she hesitated to say anything trying to take in the moment that to her seemed beautiful, but also had a very you have to be kidding me feel. After what seemed like an hour she smiled and looked at Yamato then at the ring and then at Yamato once more. Slowly she began to feel the crowed of people beginning to look and were anticipating her answer just like Yamato. "Yes. I will be your wife." She said softly while nodding her head and tears of joy began to run down her face as Yamato began to take out the ring and slide it on her left ring finger. Once on there he stood up and held her in a soft embrace. As they did the people around them began to applaud at the young couple's happiness.
"I love you Sora." Yamato softly whispered in her ear as they were still in their long embrace.
Tears kept falling down from her eyes knowing that most of them were for joy that she was going to marry the love of her life, but she also shed a few tears at what this would mean for Taichi and how he was going to take this news after his confession this morning. "I love you too Yamato." She whispered back at him knowing now what she had to do.
*End Flash Back*
The shocked expressions from Hikari were easily read by the auburn haired woman who was giving the girl time to process all of what she heard. "You accepted, but I mean weren't you confused" Hikari was beginning to understand how Tachi could hold anger towards Yamato.
Sora sighed deeply before responding, "Well I was but in the moment I was taken by surprise and I could only think of how romantic it all was. Still after it was all said and done I didn't regret saying yes, but do wish I would have handled telling you brother." Guilt was clear in her voice.
*Tachi's Apartment
Willis had a confused look and Taichi was not surprised. "How can you be mad by what you told me it seems that you were clearly going to win her over just because Yamato was screwing up?" Taichi winced at the thoughts that came to him, and how he found out what happened after Sora left the café.
"Yes it did seem like it, but like always Yamato had to get in my way and then this time he really took her away." Willis couldn't understand what Taichi was saying. Still Taichi was not going to stop his story there he wanted to make sure Willis understood his anger towards the two blondes.
*Flash Back*
He couldn't figure out what was going on, but he was anxious to hear her voice, and in his mind hopefully the words that would bring him the biggest happiness of his life. Since last talking to her two days ago, he had thinking about what he could have done differently, and more specifically the time when he ran into Sora going backstage to see Yamato's band that winter 5 years ago where they first became a couple. I should have said something; I shouldn't have let her go to him. His mind was relentless in telling him he screwed up those years ago, but was now confident that after today he would soon not regret anything in the past and could move on with his future. Finally a knock at his door came and when he opened it up he saw Sora there, but quickly saw Yamato behind her with a giant smile on his face, but hers was less cheerful almost with guilt or sorrow, he could not tell which one.
"Hey guys come on in." His annoyed tone was clear, but neither of the two guests noticed.
"Thanks" the couple said in unison.
After taking off their shoes, and sitting down on the couch, they were sitting close together, and all the while Taichi was trying to figure out what exactly was going on. "Well Tai we have something to tell you, and Sora and I thought you should be the first to know" Yamato spoke cheerfully and smiled at him not noticing the confused and angered look on his face.
"What is it?" Taichi spoke quickly wanting to get to the end of this.
"Well… you should tell him Sora" He looked at her and she smiled weakly before she spoke.
She nervously fidgeted her fingers before speaking, "Taichi. Yamato and I are going to get married" she spoke calmly as if she had rehearsed this speech before coming here.
"What!" Anger could be felt in his response and looked at Yamato firmly in the eyes. Then he turned to Sora, "But what about what we talked about two days ago?" Sora's eyes shot wide opened and immediately looked over to Yamato to see his reaction.
"What are you talking about?" Clearly confused at what Taichi said, he switched between looking at his best friend and his fiancé. "Sora what is he saying?"
"Well… you see the day you asked me to marry you I…well I went to go talk to Tai about… us." She spoke softly and now Yamato's eyes shot wide open.
Yamato was unsure of what to say or do at the moment. He was having mixed feelings about it hurt, betrayal and anger. Still he remained composed not showing anything but confusion in his face. "What did you tell him?" He spoke softly trying to keep himself all together as best he could.
Taichi all the while was just watching the event unfold as he kept glaring at Yamato enjoying what he was going through, "She said how much of a lousy boyfriend you were and to be honest Yamato you don't deserve her." Yamato balled up his fist and dug his nails into his skin as he tightened them. He didn't want to punch him, but he was getting to the point where he wouldn't be able to stop himself.
"Taichi!" Sora yelled at him she glared at him and it was enough to make Taichi avoid her eye contact, but she knew that the damage had been done, and Yamato was now angry, "Yamato that isn't true I was just confused since you were always out and seemed to be ignoring everyone, but now I knew why you were doing it and I don't care anymore." She tried to get to him, and not allow Taichi's words to ruin their relationship, but she wasn't sure what would happen after this.
Yamato slowly stood up and quickly went up to Taichi and grabbed his collar and picked him up from the couch and looked at him straight into the eyes with his icy stare he had. Taichi was caught too off guard and could not free himself from his grip, "Taichi don't you dare meddle in my relationship with Sora. I can't believe you would ever do such a thing, and if you liked her then you should have manned up and told her yourself before I was with her. Now you are just a pathetic child bitching about how he didn't get his way. I want us to be friends still, but I think that after this it is going to be hard." Taichi was now enraged and wanted nothing more than to beat Yamato at the moment, but his grip was still tight on him. "For the sake of Takeru and Hikari I will be nice around you, but if you dare mess with my relationship again, I will not let you go so easily next time." He threw him down to the couch, and immediately walked to the door.
Sora was just trying to keep herself together, and was surprised by how Yamato had handled the situation, but as soon as he let go of Taichi's collar and walked out, she looked once more at Taichi giving him look that was both anger and disappointment, then before anything else occurred she left after her fiancé leaving an angry Taichi alone.
Taichi couldn't believe he was caught off guard by him, and wanted nothing more than to follow him and get him back, but he knew in his mind that after what had happened no matter what he did she was gone forever, and he blamed no else but Yamato for this.
Outside the apartment Sora had seen Yamato waiting for the elevator with his blonde hair not hard to miss she ran towards him, and was able to catch up to him before the elevator closed behind her. The ride down was the most silent ride she had ever had. She stole glances from Yamato, and even with his blonde hair covering his eyes, she could see tears coming down. Guilt ran through her mind and wished she should could have taken everything back. "Sora" Yamato spoke softly breaking the silence they shared in the elevator.
The door to the elevator opened, but neither of them moved from their spots. "Yea Yamato?" She wondered what was going to happen now between the two of them.
"Was I really that bad of a boyfriend?" She was shocked to hear him ask such a question after all it was her who had just ruined their friendship with Taichi, and was responsible for causing the fight.
"No, you weren't. You are the best boyfriend a girl could ever ask for. What happen with Taichi, I was just alone and need someone to talk to." She wanted to get him to realize that what she said was her not being able to talk to nobody.
"That's the problem though you were still alone and I just left you there, I'm sorry Sora." An apology was the last thing she expected to hear, but this time she said no words and walked up to him and held him in a tight embrace.
Shocked by her touch Yamato hesitated before eventually returning the embrace. "I'm sorry too, for having ruined your friendship with Taichi." she spoke into his ear, causing him to tighten his hold on her.
The elevator doors closed once more and stayed there allowing the couple to have their private moment, and as they released from their embrace Yamato took Sora's hand and looked at her strait into her ruby eyes. "Sora I know after all of this you might not want to marry me, but I am still willing to spend the rest of my life with you, but if you need time just know that I will be waiting for you." Unable to hold back her tears, she hugged him once more and this time with greater force.
"Of course I will still marry you." Her response was met with a kiss from her fiancé, and after their moment, they exited the elevator and drove off.

"Since then things just haven't been the same between the three of us, but I know Yamato felt bad even after everything even though he didn't do anything." Sora spoke quietly having a sadden look on her face. It was clear to Hikari that this was a sensitive issue between the three, and now it explained why when Hikari mention Yamato's plan he was angry, but what she wondered is that if her brother would ever be able to move on.
Unsure of what to say to Sora, Hikari stood from her seat, "Sorry for asking that, I just wanted to know, but I'm sure one day Taichi will get over it." She smiled weakly at her and began to walk to the door. Feeling guilty for having brought up such painful memories, she now wanted to just go home and sleep wanting this day to just end.
*Tachi's Apartment
Willis couldn't believe what he heard; the situation was strait out of a drama. He pondered his thoughts and tried to think if he should really go through with this, on one side he was coming into a situation that had nothing to do with him and could end ugly for him and on the other side he would be able to try and take Hikari away from Takeru. "Well after all of this are you in or out?" Taichi was waiting for the response knowing that he needed Willis.
Taking another moment so he could think about it he finally responded, "Ok, I'm in but if things get out of hand and it looks like it's going to south I had nothing to do with this deal?"
Not liking what that Willis had put in a way for him to weasel his way out he couldn't really do more than to accept his terms. Always the business man, "Fine but I think my plan should work easily I do know my sister better than anyone."
After about four more bottles Willis left and Taichi was left alone to think about how tomorrow would be the start of his plan to get his revenge.
A/N: To be honest I feel like I could have done better with the proposal scene, but I don't know what you think? Any ways I hope you enjoyed the chapter and please leave of a review if you feel so inclined to, it would be a great help if you did though.
