The next day, Dan asked to see him. Phil begrudgingly agreed, and borrowed his mother's make up so Dan wouldn't know what his father had done. He could never say no to Dan. He was still sore, so getting on his jumper and skinny jeans was harder than usual. He had to cover up the marks, even though it was a hot day. This was probably one of the only times Phil hated summer he couldn't wear long shirts or jeans without getting suspicious looks. Its like people could see his scars, all his marks. Phil felt under constant watch and he hated it more than anything.
Again, that day, they met up at Dan's house, for which Phil was very lad, because he hadn't looked at his father properly since he hit him. Dan would definitely be suspicious if he saw that Phil wouldn't look at his dad. He knew that Phil was pretty upset about the boarding school thing, but he also knew him well enough to know when he was hiding something, or behaving oddly. Sometimes that was a gift, and sometimes it was a curse.
Just like before, Dan's mum Jo answered the door, about to go for her morning run. She smiled and let Phil in without a question, knowing that he wasn't in a good place at the moment. "It'll be okay, sweetie..." She said warmly, gently patting his hair like his mother did when he was little, before she left for her run. Phil liked Jo. She was much more affectionate and warm than his own mother, which was kind of sad. His own mother had always been a little distant, but Phil knew she loved him. She was the one who stayed home. She did everything, the washing, the cleaning, the cooking. It left her tired most days, which meant she'd go to bed early, and get up at around 6 A.M. the next day. Phil felt sorry for her, but on the rare occasion that his father got a day off from work, they'd go out and do something together as a family. It was nice. It was one of the only times his father seemed to care about him.
"Maybe..." Phil sighed to himself, kind of wishing Jo would come back and pet his hair some more. But she wouldn't, so Phil quietly made his way upstairs to Dan's room, smiling as he heard soft snores coming from behind the door. He knew Dan had cleaned his room last night, so he could just walk in. He gently turned the knob, and swung the door easily open enough so he could squeeze in. He looked around, noticing that Dan really had cleaned. He should have known, either way. It was a nervous tick of his, whenever he was stressed, he would clean. Phil supposed it was to gain some sort of organisation in his life, to make him a little less stressed.
"Mm no don't use that bottle..." He heard Dan mumble in his sleep. Phil giggled as the boy continued to mumble, and quietly walked across the room to Dan's bed. He slid himself under the covers carefully, making sure not to wake Dan as he kicked off his shoes, and wrapped his arms around the warm body of his boyfriend. He already felt much better. "Morning..." Phil cooed softly, knowing Dan wouldn't reply, but still feeling it necessary to say. "You're so cute when you sleep.." He whispered, gently taking Dan's hand and tangling their fingers. He really was. His hair was all messed up, his cheeks tinged slightly pink, and his mouth open slightly as light snores filtered through the room. Phil could feel that he had pyjama pants on, but he saw Dan was shirtless. That made him blush a little, but it didn't matter, not really.
"Phil..." Dan mumbled, making said boy smile and lean forward to gently connect their lips in a sweet kiss. "I'm here, love, sh..." He cooed, giggling lightly as he stroked up and down his warm, tanned waist. Dan was seriously too cute, especially since he'd started nuzzling against Phil's face and making quiet mewling noises. "You're so cute..." Phil giggled, kissing Dan a few more times before Dan's eyes fluttered open, a small, sleepy smile on the brunette's face.
"Hey..." Dan said quietly, his voice gravelly from sleep. God, could he get any cuter? "I could get used to waking up in your arms..." The boy mumbled, yawning before he nuzzled into Phil's neck. "Speaking of which, when did you get here?" He asked, making Phil giggle as the brunette kissed up his neck. It felt nice. They were being really couple-y, but Phil didn't care. He loved Dan, and Dan loved him. How dare anyone say that was wrong?
"A little while... You talk in your sleep, by the way, and you're incredibly cute." Phil mumbled, grinning as he pulled Dan up for a proper kiss. He moved their mouths slowly, gently gliding his tongue into Dan's mouth as his leg swung loosely around a bare, tanned hip. He just wanted to kiss all over Dan's beautiful body. he heard Dan whine quietly in protest, but that was probably about the cute thing. After all, Phil could feel Dan's morning wood against his thigh. They wouldn't do anything, of course, but it was nice to tease.
"Phil..." Dan panted, pulling away and making the dark haired boy grin wider as he saw a dangerous glint in his eyes. Lust. "I know you can feel me, stop..." He whispered, bucking his hips a little. Phil smiled reassuredly and leant forward for another kiss as his thigh rubbed against Dan
"Why? Don't you want me to help you out?" Phil asked, gently nibbling on Dan's bottom lip as his fingers trailed up his smooth, tanned stomach, onto his chest, and onto his nipples. He just wanted to make the brunette feel good, but maybe he was just trying to distract himself from how wrong this was. "Doesn't this feel good baby?" He smirked, gently pinching Dan's nipples, making the boy squirm and moan loudly as Phil's thigh simultaneously rubbed over the bulge in Dan's pyjama bottoms.
"No... Stop Phil... I know you don't want this... You just think you do, because of yesterday..." Dan whined, making Phil blink a couple of times as he was pushed away. It was partially true, but he also wanted to make Dan feel good. Was that so wrong? "I'm sorry, but if yesterday hadn't happened, then you'd be shy, quiet Phil, who would blush darkly if he saw I was hard, let alone felt it!" Dan said, sighing a little sadly as he shuffled to the other side of the bed. Phil whimpered and followed Dan, grabbing at the boy. He realised that Dan wasn't going to change his mind, so he sighed reluctantly, and shuffled next to Dan.
"I'm sorry... You're right. Can... Can we just cuddle then?" Phil asked, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend again, a sad look on his face. They'd wait, then. Even if Dan had sounded incredible sexy, Phil would hold off, because they weren't ready, and he knew he'd end up regretting it later. "Please baby?" He asked, pouting slightly as he trailed his fingers up and down Dan's waist. The boy smiled as Dan nodded, and instantly cuddled into him, knowing that they'd have to move soon so they weren't caught.
"I love you..." Dan whispered, making Phil whimper and hold the boy as close as he could. How could a person so perfect as Dan, ever love someone so imperfect as Phil? He should find someone worthy of his gorgeousness, his talent, intelligence. Yet, here they were. Dan had chosen him, and Phil felt honoured as he repeated Dan's words thruthfully. This world was rotten. They had to hide their love. Their love was pure and innocent, but still it was rejected.
After half an hour of laying together, kissing, repeating the words to each other over and over, Dan finally pulled away. Phil whined slightly and tried to pull the boy back, but Dan just smiled and walked until only their fingertips were touching. "I love you.." He whispered again, before finally breaking away and moving into the bathroom. Phil sighed as he slid out of bed and put on his shoes. He missed Dan's warm body pressed against his already. His heart ached. But, he knew it had to be done. He slowly trudged downstairs, feeling reluctant to leave Dan's side. He knew, though, how much better it would be to not feel anxious, scared. He knew it would be worth it when they didn't have to hide anymore.
So, with hope, Phil walked out into the backyard, once again, and slowly climbed the ladder. He heard the birds chirping, and Dan's shower running I the distance. It was actually a quiet day, though it was quite cloudy, which meant they would probably get rain. Phil had expected as much. They hadn't had rain for weeks, which was unusual, even for summer. Rain was nice though, Phil liked rain. The smell, the feel. He liked how romantic it seemed. He wished one day that he and Dan could kiss in the rain. Or just kiss anywhere in the open, really. He just wished that his love was seen as true. The world really wasn't fair.
He felt himself drawing closer to the pavement as he stepped inside the treehouse. It was from being away from Dan, and thinking about how wrong their relationship was to their world. Life wasn't fair, but it didn't matter if he had Dan with him, which he currently was not. The raven-haired oy sighed as he fell onto the small sofa, his heart clenching. He couldn't think such dark thoughts without Dan, it simply hurt too much. Luckily, Dan was back pretty soon, wearing a singlet and some loose, brown track pants. Phil smiled as he saw the boy cuddling a Totoro plushie. He looked so cute, standing there, holding the stuffed animal tightly to his chest as he giggled innocently. Really, he was too adorable.
"Come here, baby" Phil said, smiling warmly as he opened his arms for Dan to crawl into, which the boy did quickly. Phil practically melted as Dan lay facing him, Totoro pressed tightly between their chests and their les tangled. Dan was giving him this adorable look, and Phil just couldn't help but press their lips together forcefully. "So. Cute." He mumbled against Dan's lips, cupping his cheeks with both hands. "Stop being so cute, Dan..." He whispered, his heart skipping a eat as Dan gave him an irresistible smile.
"I can't help it." Dan giggled, blushing a little and making Phil whine slightly as the need to be as close as they possibly could became stronger. He pressed their lips together needily again, smushing their faces together as he pressed their bodies as tightly as he could.
"Yes you can..." Phil mumbled, pulling away after a few minutes and gushing as Dan nuzzled embarrassedly into Totoro. "God, see? You won't stop!" Phil whined, giggling as he turned them over. "You're too cute for your own good." He mumbled, pressing their lips together before he moved his kisses along Dan's face, pressing his lips wherever he could. "So adorable, baby. And you're all mine..." He whispered, grinning as he gently stroked Dan's chin. The brunette simply giggled and blushed more, once again trying to hide behind Totoro out of embarrassment. "Noo!" Phil exclaimed, giggling himself. "Stop! I'm gonna die!"
"No you're not." Dan giggled, biting his lip in that adorable way that made Phil gush even more. He nodded his head and pouted a little, gently poking Dan's stomach.
"Yes I will!" I'll just melt!" Phil protested, managing to wear his pout for all of about five seconds, before he bursted into giggles again. "Seriously though, bay, stop being so cute. If you don't, someone else might steal you away from me, then what would I do?" Phil pouted again, tracing his fingers across Dan's perfect cheekbones, down his cheeks, onto his chin, and then his neck. Dan writhed and made a strange noise as Phil touched his neck, making the raven-haired boy grin as he remembered how sensitive Dan's neck was. "Come on..." Phil sighed after a while, slowly sitting up on Dan's chest and stretching a little. "Lunch again?" He asked, his easy smile faltering as Dan stared at his exposed stomach.
"Phil... What happened to your stomach?"
