Route 1, Kalos region. . .

The Minotaur showed no signs of tiring out, but the battle had only raged for about three minutes and Calem's team was already on the defensive from the beginning. Four Rakukajas were up and and so were three Sukukajas and Tarukajas, so it was already apparent that this thing had powerful attacks and decent defenses. The Minotaur quickly unleashed a Take Down on Pixie, which was recovered from with a Diarama from Serena. Calem used this opportunity to stack another Rakukaja on himself and his allies while Pawniard used a Dark Blade that had been Power Charged. It hit the Minotaur hard and and then it took an Evil Bite from Houndour while Pixie applied another Sukukaja, Nekomata applied another Tarukaja, Slime set up a Red Wall on Pawniard again, and Matador managed to paralyze Minotaur with a Zionga spell.

It roared as it unleashed a War Cry on Calem's party, which was negated by a Dekunda from Pawniard. Houndour then unleashed a normal attack that was followed by Calem applying another Rakukaja while Nekomata set down a Tarunda on Minotaur. The next attack that it took was another normal attack, this one coming from Matador, then Slime poisoned Minotaur with a Virus Breath attack and Serena attacked normally from long-range with an arrow fired from her bow. Minotaur simply attacked Slime with a Fire Punch, which gave it another chance to attack and used it to fire off another War Cry that was immediately neutralized with a Dekunda from Pawniard. Aware that his allies needed SP, Calem used a Priest's Soul, restoring his party's SP. Houndour then unleashed a Stagnant Air while Nekomata applied another Tarunda on the Minotaur.

It was not over yet as Minotaur now showed signs of tiring out. It immediately roared as a red cross made of light appeared in front of it and shined brightly for a couple of seconds before it disappeared. Minotaur then unleashed two War Cry moves in quick succession, which was neutralized by another Dekunda from Pawniard. Calem used a Mind Charge while Houndour attacked along with Nekomata while Pixie used a Light Blast. Matador got in the finishing blow as he used Andalucia. The Minotaur collapsed, defeated. Calem then scanned it with his COMP, capturing the demon.

"Well, that was relatively tough." Serena said to Calem.

"Yeah. We still have a few more battles to go through. though." Calem replied.

After four more battles, all of which involved fighting weaker Angels, Calem saw Michael leap from on top of a dead Silver Dragon and land in front of him. He said to the young man, "My lord is aware of the situation here, human. The Pokémon World, however, is not consider important enough for any of his avatars or voice. He currently acts through my fellow Archangel Gabriel, further cementing this fact. In any case, be warned that eventually you will have to face me in battle as you have sided with Yveltal and the demons."

"Does this mean that we're not going to fight right now?!" Calem exclaimed.

"Correct. When we next meet, we will cross swords, Calem! Farewell!"

Micheal then flew off. Aware that the battles around Kalos route one had resolved themselves just now, Calem and Serena head back to Aquacorda Town and recover before heading back into Santalune Forest.

Infodump: More moves, all of them from Pokémon except for War Cry since how it works is from Nocturne instead of SMT IV.

Tackle: deals light Physical damage to one enemy. Cost: 2 HP

Scratch: deals light Physical damage to one enemy. Cost: 3 HP

Fire Punch: deals medium Physical damage and has a 20% chance to inflict a burn. Fire Elemental attack. Cost: 6% of the user's current HP

Ice Punch: deals medium Physical damage and has a 20% chance to freeze. Ice Elemental attack. Cost: 6% of the user's current HP

Take Down: deals medium Physical damage and knocks down one enemy. Cost: 10% of the user's current HP

Leer: lowers the Physical and Magical defense of one enemy. Cost: 4 SP

String Shot: lowers the Agility of one enemy. Cost: 7 SP

War Cry: lowers the Physical and Magical attack of all enemies drastically (Tarunda x2) Cost: 14 SP
