Hey guys OnyxTheSaiyan here with the second chapter of Angel of Lightning! This chapter is building up to the Emerald Forest part of RWBY, and don't worry there is going to be a fight scene to satisfy you guys! Till then Onyx signing out!
Chapter 2
It was a wonderfully cheerful morning in Vale, the sun was shining and the birds had come out to play. Seeing the beauty of nature from the window of the dust plane caused Angelo to smile to himself. Looking back to his book he was jolted from reading by the sound of someone having the life choked out of them. He looked up and saw the source of the sound, it was the girl from last night, Ruby he recalled, being given a massive bear hug by a blonde girl who looked like she could knock you into orbit if you weren't careful. Suddenly the two separated and Ruby caught sight of Angelo in the corner, "Angelo!" she exclaimed joyfully, before he knew it the bundle of red appeared in front of him in the blink of an eye. Jumping back he heard a laugh and saw the blonde walking to them. "Hey Yang! Quick come over here and meet Angelo!" shouted Ruby
In return Angelo was speechless, he wasn't sure on how to react to the sudden attention he was getting. "Hi I'm Yang" she said.
"Ummmm... Hi... I'm Angelo" he stuttered nervously glancing up at the brawler standing before him.
"Nice to meet you Angelo, my sister has been telling me non-stop about what you did last night." Yang replied "Ruby said that you were a bit of a badass last night"
"It was... Um... Nothing" he stated while glancing around nervously.
Seeing the effect her sister was having on the blonde boy Ruby decided it was best that they left him alone. Suddenly a news announcement popped up taking about the robbery that happened the night before, it briefly went over the head of the attack, Roman Torchwick. It was suddenly cut off with the familiar image of Glynda Goodwitch who went on to talk about Beacon and gave them a brief explanation of what was going to happen over the next 4 years.
Angelo was distracted by a retching sound coming from the centre of the ship. He looked across and saw a blonde boy vomiting into a bag. At least someone is worse off than me thought Angelo. The ship soon arrived at Beacon,mwhen the door opened up them students were then greeted with awe inspiring sight that was Beacon Academy. Walking out Angelo felt his arm get pulled out of its socket as he was dragged by Yang to Ruby.
"Hey Angelo you are going to keep my sister company I have some people I need to go meet" Before he could raise his voice in protest he was spun in circles as Yang rushed past with her very large group of friends. Regaining his balance he looked around and saw Ruby in a similar predicament. He caught sight of something approaching her from behind and seeing the danger ran forward to stop her. He failed, Ruby tripped up and fell over launching large suitcases up into the air. Hearing a cry of annoyance he turned round and saw a girl dressed in a white dress storming over to the them.
"What are you doing!" she exclaimed angrily at Ruby. Angelo stepped forward to intervene but the girl in white spun on her heel and stuck a finger in his face.
"and You! Why didn't you stop the idiot!"
Stunned, Angelo wasn't able to think of anything to say that could calm the girl down. The girl seeing this grabbed a case offered to her and grabbed a vial of red crystals. Realising that it was a vial of Dust Angelo suddenly got a feeling in his stomach that something was going to happen. He slowly edged away when he heard a loud boom. Turning around he saw the girl in white covered in soot with Ruby sitting there guiltily.
The girl proceeded to chew Ruby up about what she had done. Suddenly Angelo saw movement in the corner of his eye and saw a figure in black and white walk towards them carrying the vial of dust. "It's Heiress actually, Weiss Schnee, Heiress to the the Schnee Dust company.
"Finally some recognition! Weiss exclaimed
"The same company known for its controversial labour forces and questionable business partners." she announced bluntly
Angelo hid a small grin while Ruby snickered at the Heiress getting a taste of her own medicine. She suddenly turned on her heel and stormed off. Angelo saw the girl in black also slinking off before he or Ruby could speak to her.
He then saw another boy walk over. Wandering over he overheard the boy
"Hey... I'm Jaune."
Both Jaune and Angelo proceeded to pull Ruby off the floor. The three then decided that they would go on a walk. They were walking through the gardens, annoying Jaune about his motion sickness.
"Hey motion sickness is a very common problem." He explained
"Whatever you say Jaune"giggles Ruby
"Well then lets properly introduce ourselves.. I'm Jaune Arc, Short,Sweet, Rolls of the tongue and the ladies love it" he said proudly to the dubious looks of Ruby and Angelo.
"It does?" said Angelo with a doubtful expression.
"Anyway I'm Ruby Rose" replied Ruby with a smile on her face.
The two looked across expectantly at Angelo
"umm I'm Angelo Nariko" murmured Angelo. Seeing their blank faces " It stands for Angel of Lightning" he explained to the two teens.
"Awesome!" exclaimed both Ruby and Jaune.
"Now thats out of the way lets see your weapons Angelo and Jaune!
Taking out his Longsword in one hand and activating his light shield " This is Judgement" referring to the Longsword" and this is Intervention" he explained to the amazed expressions of the the two teens.
Looking over to Jaune. "Errr well I have these" bringing out a slightly shorter sword than Angelo and a large white shield.
Both the teens whistled at the sight of the sword and the shield.
"It's a hand me down from my great-great grandfather, he fought in the war."
"Looks more like an heirloom, anyway I like it" replied Ruby with a huge smile.
"Most people don't have an appreciation for the classics these days, I'm a big fan of swords anyway" said Angelo
"So what do you have Ruby?" inquired Jaune
"Well I have this" Unfolding her scythe and stabbing it into the ground " It's called Crescent Rose"she explained
"Woah, is that a scythe!?" exclaimed Jaune
"Yea It's also a customisable high impact sniper rifle"
"a what?"
Angelo leaned to his ear "It's also a gun" clearing Jaune's confused face.
Ruby looked around "Hey where are we going exactly?"
"I was following you two.." stated Jaune
They both proceeded to look pointedly at Angelo. Sighing "It's going to be a long day" he muttered.
