Their captor. The alien turned to look at the boys in confinement with a smug look on its face, "You are all under my captivity now and I have decided to not exterminate you. However, you will all be serving me as my henchmen so you must obey my every command," the alien had intention of stopping his sentence anytime soon, "I'll have you know that I am a very intellectual and highly respected scientist from the planet Ata Tatiga and I'll have you address me as your master, Lord Bano No. Now, bow down before me."
Silence was followed shortly after the alien's introduction. Not too long after that, a slight chuckling sound was heard from Fang. Then a bit too suddenly, the whole group of boys started to burst in fits of laughter... They continued laughing... and laughing and laughing. Until finally...
"What's so funny?!" Bano No demanded, finding the boys' incessant laughter growing more and more unnerving by the second.
"Y-your head! ...it's...it's square! What's up... with that?" Killua managed out in between his fits of laughter. Tears even started forming in his eyes due to too much laughing done on his part.
"You? Our 'master'?" Fang did air quotes as he said the last word, a huge grin playing on his face, "Pfft-! As if!"
Gon and Boboiboy just laughed heartily as the former clutched his sides and the latter placed one hand atop his stomach while the other hand wiped away a tear of pure mirth that formed at the corner of his eye.
Bano No gritted his teeth as his hand proceeded to reach into one of his lab coat. All too suddenly he pulled out a black pistol-like object and pointed it towards the boys, shouting out, "You brats better learn your place or else I'll send you to a dimension of damnation!"
The boys' laughter stopped just as abruptly as it started. The looks all four of them had on their faces right then were huge contrasts to the expressions they held less than a minute ago.
Killua clicked his tongue, "Tch, Gon..."
"I know.." Gon nodded slowly in understanding. The black pistol Bano No was holding. He was obviously implying that the weapon he held was capable of sending one to other dimensions. That the weapon can open up gateways to other different and unknown universes. The two boys strongly suspected that that's what the alien had used to teleport them to this dimension a few days back...
Gon swung his legs, humming a merry tone as he was sitting on a bench next to Killua in a town. A bright smile was already on his features as he glanced to his left where Killua was busy digging his fingers into a box of Choco Robo-kun chocolates.
"So? Which version is it this time, Killua?" Gon enquired, his tone chirpy.
Killua shrugged somewhat noncommittally as he proceeded to dig his fingers deeper into the box. His face lit up as the tip of his fingers finally touched something hard in the box. Something that he was sure wasn't more chocolate balls. He pulled out the foreign object from the box full of chocolates.
"Are you kidding me? This is like… the fourth!" Killua groaned the moment he saw the miniature blue robot figurine he now held in his hand. This is the fourth time he had gotten the same blue robot surprise toy.
Pulling a face, Killua leaned back into the bench, shoving the toy in his shorts pocket. He sighed loudly in an over exasperated way, "How lame…"
But soon enough, a smile gained its place on his face once he had started eating the balls of delicious chocolate treat. He always seemed to enjoy eating those. A bit too much sometimes.
Seeing his friend's quick change of emotional display made Gon chortle. How such small, insignificant things such as Killua expressing his feelings outwardly can make Gon feel light-hearted was beyond the former's knowledge. But Killua had to admit. He feels just the same as Gon does when it comes to Gon himself. It's something mutual between these two dear friends. How they always seemed to hold dear and treasure one another to such extent. Seeing Gon happy makes me happy as well, was how Killua would put it out simply.
Gon looked at Killua with lively eyes, "Ne, Killua! Let's go train afterwards?" It was something between a question and an invitation.
"Sounds like a plan," the former assassin responded, nodding his head.
The two boys were breathing heavily by sundown. They had decided to train in an open field at the outskirts of the town they were currently staying at rather than just going to a gym like they tend to do. The field was a pretty good place for practicing Nen and things of such since people don't come around the place too often.
Killua wiped sweat from his brows. 'Gon…he's definitely getting stronger,' he thought. 'I have to step up my game… If I want to be able to protect Gon in case any unseen danger was to fall upon him...' Killua tightened his hands into fists, his gaze fell to the ground.
"You've gotten stronger, Killua!" the words pulled Killua out of his train of thoughts. His head snapped up to look at Gon who was facing him while grinning that ever so bright grin of his. The one that shines so brightly, too brightly, Killua can't help but to always end up looking away. However, this time he forced himself to look at his friend in the face.
"Gon…" the blue eyed boy began only to be cut short by a sudden unsteady and odd presence filling the atmosphere around them. Gon noticed the change in atmosphere as well. The two boys instantly got into a fighting stance, readying themselves for whatever that was about to come. Two pairs of eyes darted around in search of the cause of the eerie feeling.
Killua's eyes got slightly wider in alarm as a dark pool of what seemed to be a portal formed itself before Gon and him. The portal. It seemed as though the unknown dimensional gateway was oozing with aura full of dread and eeriness, not failing to make even the hairs on the back of both Killua & Gon's necks stand on their ends.
Gon furrowed his brows, "Killua, what is tha-" was the only thing the black haired boy had managed to say before he was cut short as a beam was shot from the portal all too suddenly, hitting him directly.
Killua seemed to be paralyzed as he witnessed what was happening to his friend. Gon's being was fading away right before his eyes. Fragments of his body were disappearing. Panic seized Killua's body, his breath caught in his throat and his heart was racing like mad.
"G-Gon!" Killua finally managed to find his voice, albeit it was somewhat shaky.
The moment Killua tried to reach out to his friend, he found it was too late for the last thing he could see of Gon was his alarmed face right before the latter disappeared fully. Completely gone from his sight. The flash of the beam was also fading before it too vanished completely, leaving no traces at all.
Although his mind was racing, it didn't take long for Killua to immediately realize that even though the beam that had just hit Gon had vanished, but the portal that had emitted it was still there.
Thus, without any more time to spare, Killua sprinted right into the pitch-black portal, completely ignoring all the warnings that formed at the back of his mind and all thoughts regarding how dangerous and fatal doing this could be were left unheeded.
Every other form of thoughts was abandoned, for saving Gon was the only thing that Killua was intent on thinking about right now. That, and that he would murder whoever or whatever it was that even dared to pull this accursed abduction plan.
He swore.
