Kurt's heart sank at Blaine's words. He knew this was coming and he didn't know what to do. Hunter had been especially violent during full moons and while it was natural for werewolves to feel excitement and joy during this time of the month, Kurt had so many bad memories that he dreaded it. On top of that, he couldn't let Blaine and the Westerville pack see him in wolf form. He'd been having nightmares the past few nights, of Hunter attacking him, forcing inside him, tearing out his throat, and then his face would turn into Blaine's dripping with Kurt's blood.
"I think it's best for you if you don't spend the full moon with the rest of the pack," said Blaine, "and that's not because they're not all dying to meet you. Believe me, they are. Even if my wolf doesn't particularly want to share you…"
Kurt flushed hot at this. His omega instincts couldn't resist a little preening at this territorial comment from a powerful Alpha, and even if he was still wondering when Blaine would order him to drop to his knees or spread his legs, at least he didn't have to fear being shared with other wolves on a whim, like he had with Hunter.
Blaine cleared his throat. "I think it would be too overwhelming, even if it would be best for your wolf to be around the rest of the pack. But we can put off meeting them until you're ready."
Kurt looked up cautiously, unable to believe what he was hearing. Could it be he would actually make it through this full moon alive?
"And I will need to be with the rest of the pack; otherwise I'd stay with you, of course. But I've asked Brittany, and she's more than happy to stay with you, and give you some much-needed company for the night."
Blaine was smiling at him widely, a handome, charming grin that showed all his white teeth, but his smile turned into a frown at Kurt's expression. He had displeased his Alpha already, and what he was about to ask for would obviously make him even more unhappy. Hunter and everyone else in Lima had been right about him, he was a bad omega, just wrong somehow.
"Please, Alpha," Kurt whispered, looking at the floor, "please let me spend the full moon alone. I'll do whatever you want, please."
"Kurt…it's not good for you."
Shivering, Kurt dropped onto his knees. "Please."
"Why?"
He couldn't tell him. That was the whole point of spending the night alone, so that when he couldn't resist the pull of the moon, no one would find out his secret. And he knew he wasn't strong enough this month to resist, not in this state. He bit at his lips anxiously, not knowing what to say in reply to Alpha.
He heard Blaine sigh and sensed his movement as the Alpha dropped to the floor in front of him, taking his chin in his hand and tilting his face up. Kurt's poor, neglected, needy wolf whined happily at the contact, begging for more.
"Kurt, this is your choice. I'm not going to force you into anything. I don't like to use the Alpha command any more than I need to. You know I think it would be best for you to have Brittany, or at least tell me why you want to be alone, but, with circumstances as they are, earning your trust is more important to me than anything. It is what will help you the most in the long run. So in this case, even though it's not good for you to be alone during the full moon, it's still up to you."
Kurt blinked in shock at this speech, letting out a small gasp when Blaine let go of his chin and started to stand up. Kurt's wolf growled pitifully in his chest and he reached out, grasping at Blaine's legs and then higher up, resting his hands on Alpha's belt meaningfully. "Thank you, Alpha. Will you let me please you, to…to show how grateful I am-"
"No," said Blaine, but his voice was kind. His hands covered Kurt's and removed them from his belt. He held them for a moment before carefully letting go. "Remember, if you change your mind, just tell Brittany, and she'll stay with you. Otherwise, we'll make sure to get your room ready and leave some food as well." Blaine sighed again, shaking his head, and hot shame washed over Kurt for displeasing him. "You should be free to run and play and hunt, instead of the best night of the month being your worst. I respect there's something you want to keep to yourself, and that's yours." He smiled sadly, pausing at the door. "Hopefully one day it will feel right for you to share it with me."

So Kurt spent the full moon alone. He gave himself over to the change as soon as he felt the first pull of the moon's power, hearing yips and barks and howls outside, wherever the rest of the Westerville pack was happily changing and being together. Kurt was too weak to try to resist, and he for once had no reason to, with no one around to see his wolf form and be disgusted. For the first time he could really remember, he felt safe.
But that was the only positive. It was a miserable night, and he tore the room apart despite his fragile state, hurting himself several times too. The food Blaine had brought for him was good, but how he longed to hunt, something he hadn't done since he was very small. It was the worst night he'd had since he had left Lima, which was still better than what he'd grown used to there. But he whined and growled and scratched the walls until his paws bled with the deep, primal ache to be with the pack. His pack. To be with Blaine.
His Blaine.
