Hey Everyone! I am soooo sorry that it took so long to get this chapter published . I have been very busy in college and it was hard to write this chapter because I wanted to make sure that after a long time, it was of good quality! Well, I hope you enjoy it and please give me some positive feedback or a critique! :) Thanks!

Erza and the attack force left very early the next morning to begin their investigation, and after Natsu had told them what this Devil guy looked like and what kind of power he had, they decided to start asking around in the local towns.

"What do you think this Devil guy meant when he said "Nightmare" to Lu-chan?" Levy asked everyone as they took a break from questioning the locals. They had stopped in a local garden filled with beautiful flowers and patio furniture. Erza took a book out of a small bag she was carrying and placed it on a table close to her.

"I visited an old wizard in the town we just passed through, he and the master had met as children and the master told me to visit him. Upon telling him our case, he handed me this book. It has a strange energy coming from it, so I suspect that a spell is on it." Erza spoke giving caution to everyone. Levy nodded to her and placed her hands on the book, the title was engraved into the cover along with other illustrations, but it's looks could not compare to the power that was coming off of it. Levy slowly opened the book and noticed a design on the front page. Her eyes filled with shock and she let out a small gasp of horror.

"WHAT IS IT?!" the group shouted as they gathered around her.

"Th-this mark…" Levy began, "Is the mark of the One Magic!" It was an image of the sun and moon joined together, the sun had stars and was glittering while the moon was dark and had a small red mark that resembled a scar on it. In the middle was a white circle, which signified that the moon and sun were joined by something unknown. Everyone paused and looked over at Mystogan, taking off his hood and revealing that he was Jellal, as he walked through them to Levy and looked at the mark.

"There's no doubt it is the mark of the One Magic…but this power coming from the book is nothing like Zeref's…" he mumbled, gently running his hand over the mark on the page. Levy looke back at the book and suddenly felt the urge to open to a certain page. Upon opening the book, the book and Levy began to glow dimly, but enough to know that something was up to the others. Gajeel went to grab Levy's shoulders, but Jellal stopped him.

"Don't touch her, she knows what she is doing." Jellal spoke to the dragon slayer. Gajeel looked at him and back a Levy, his eyes filling with pain at the thought that if she got hurt, he wouldn't know what to do. Levy stopped on a page and the glowing surrounding her and the book stopped.

"I've found it! I know where to begin looking for Devil!" she exclaimed happily as she pointed to an image on the page. Everyone gathered around to see what it was, but once they saw what it was, worried expressions flooded all around.

"I-isn't that…" Grey started, but was cut off by Erza.

"Yes…That's where Lucy's old home was…"

After the attack force departed on their investigation, Natsu, Happy and Lucy snuck out of the guild to begin theirs. They went back to Lucy's apartment first to collect some items that might be useful to them.

"What about some of your father's presents? Could there be anything in any of those that have clues?" Natsu asked pointing to the small pile of unopened presents.

Lucy didn't feel comfortable opening some of them after what had happened with the Infinity Clock adventure, but now something did seem odd that she hasn't opened them yet. One present caught her eye and she felt drawn to it. Nothing seemed special about it on the outside, a tiny box with gold wrapping and a silk bow on top. Lucy took the tiny gift in her delicate hands and touched the silk ribbon. Thoughts of her parents ran through her head, but she had to focus on the task at hand. She opened up the little present to see something was wrapped up in a light pink cloth with the letter "L" on it.

"This cloth…It was my mother's handkerchief…" Lucy spoke slowly, rubbing her finger against the soft cotton cloth. She unwrapped it to reveal a golden amulet that shined bright like the sun. In fact, it did look like the sun in a way, Lucy Thought to herself. The amulet was a golden plate with ridges and curves, but it was smooth and had an engraved star on it.

"Luuccyy…?" Natsu said with worry. Lucy turned to look at him and notice her keys were glowing once again. Then she noticed that the amulet started to glow and it grew brighter and brighter along with her keys.

"What's going on?!" Lucy shouted throwing the amulet on her bed.

Not too far from Lucy's apartment, a young man sat perched on a rooftop. He had pitch-black hair with red highlights, just like the young man Lucy had described to Natsu earlier. He opened his brown eyes and gazed down at the red glow coming from beneath his shirt. Reaching under his black cloak and shirt, the young man pulled out a crescent shaped black amulet with a red mark going across it. It was glowing bright red, sending a tiny smirk to cross the man's face.

"Lucy Heartfilia…as of right now, our fates our intertwined…" he mumbled in a deep, smooth voice.

The young man pulled out a vision lacrima and used his magic to levitate it in front of him. After activating it, a young woman with curly pink hair popped on the screen. She had bright green eyes and light freckles dappled her face.

"Well, look who it is! It's about time you checked in, Logan!" she said with a light and chipper voice.

"Why do you call me "Logan", Natsume? You know we are only supposed to use our code names…Call me Devil…" Logan said in a huff.

Natsume laughed at the young man, "Have the amulet's reacted to their holders?" she asked in a more serious tone. Logan nodded back to her, "Do you really think Baron is right? Can we truly save the future this way?" he asked with a questioning tone.

Natsume's bright green eyes looked directly into his deep brown ones, "Let's just pray that our parents don't try to stop us first."
