Natsu grabbed Lucy's arm and pulled her behind him, placing his body in front of her as a shield from the glowing amulet on her bed. Happy hovered above them, trying to stay close just in case they needed a quick escape. Nothing was happening though, that amulet just kept on glowing. Natsu and Lucy stared at it with curiosity, what was this amulet?

Lucy placed her hand gently on the arm that Natsu held up to keep her behind him and protected. He turned slightly to look at her and gave a stern glance, "I am not moving. I don't want to see you hurt ever again, Luce…" he said coldly.

Lucy's eyes saddened, "Natsu…Please, it's not just the amulet that is glowing. My keys are glowing as well." She spoke softly, trying to reassure him. With hesitation, Natsu slowly lowered his arm, letting her pass. He quickly grabbed her wrist though and turned her towards him for a spilt second, "The second I feel like something is bad, we are out of here, okay?" he said simply.

With a quick nod, Lucy took back her wrist and slowly approached the glowing amulet. She reached down and opened up her key pouch, warmth flooding over her body and making her spiritual energy grow. Only one person came to mind with all of this energy flowing through her and that was her mother, Layla Heartfilia. Finding a perfect image of her mother, Lucy began to concentrate her energy and slowly reached down towards the amulet.

"Mother…" Lucy murmured as she picked up the amulet. It steadily grew brighter as she picked it up and held it close to her chest. Natsu stood there confused and baffled at how strong Lucy appeared. It was pretty clear to him and Happy that this amulet belonged to her mother before this point, but to see that magical and spiritual energy flowing around Lucy as if she was a star simply left them speechless. Swallowing hard, Natsu started to walk towards Lucy, trying to not distract her in any way. Happy flew over to his shoulder and landed on it, following Natsu's exact movements.

"Lucy…? Is everything okay?" Natsu asked curiously. Lucy turned around slowly, tears slowly falling from her eyes, but she was smiling. Lucy gave him an affirming nod and wrapped her arms around his waist, placing the amulet between their chests.

"Natsu…We have quite the journey ahead of us…Promise me that whatever may happen, you'll do what is right?" she asked in a soft voice. Utterly confused, the only thing Natsu could do was nod. Happy peered in and pulled on their shirt sleeves, "C'mon, let's get started on this mission already!"

Natsu and Lucy nodded, but there was the matter of making the amulet stop glowing, otherwise it might cause a commotion. But at that moment, Lucy felt the urge to place her right hand on it and recited a single phrase:

Devil recited placing his left hand on the dark amulet, absorbing the magical energy resonating from it. He placed it back under her cloak and continued walking forward in a forest. He had left Magnolia after his conversation with Natsume, but little did he know that a surprise encounter was awaiting him further up the road. He could hear a group of people talking amongst themselves, but didn't really think anything of it until one of them said something that caught his ears.

"You there! What is your name?!" shouted a female voice.

Devil slowly looked up from the ground to see a group of mages, then shock overcame his body. It was Erza's attack force. Erza was the one who confronted him, quickly pulling out a sword and pointing it at Devil.

"Answer my question…You fit the description of a man we are looking for, but we don't want any trouble. Just simply state your name…" she said, remaining calm.

"Isn't it obvious, Erza? That IS the man we are looking for!" Grey said in a low voice. Grey got into a battle ready stance, Gajeel and Laxus joining him.

"Grey is right, Titania…" Gajeel said in a low voice. "His scent matches the one I picked up at blondie's apartment."

While they conversed amongst themselves and waited for a reply, Devil stood up tall but kept he gaze averted. "My name is Logan…But I am known as Devil to my colleagues." He said in a smooth voice. It was strange though, even though he did give them his name, Devil showed no fear.

"I knew it!" Grey and Gajeel said together, but Laxus stopped them from making a move.

"Don't you two make a move. We are under Erza's rule here. What do you suggest we do, Erza?" he spoke.

"Jellal, can you sense Zeref?" she spoke simply turning to Jellal.

"No…but you should know Erza, this man isn't alone…" he spoke quickly putting a shield around the whole group with his magic. Everyone stood back to back and saw that Jellal had protected them from a blast of magic that resembled fire.

Devil looked up and saw a figure standing on one of the tree limbs, a small smile breaking on his face. "I was wondering when you were going to get here, Nastume." He spoke with a small chuckle.

"Did he just say…Nastume?" Elfman said aloud. Levy nodded back to her fellow guild mate, "Just like Nastu's name…" she replied with a stern voice.

Natsume jumped off the branch and landed right next to Devil. Her long curly pink hair draped over her shoulders, but it didn't hide her white and blue corset dress. She wore thigh high white and blue socks with cream-colored boots, but what struck out the most about her outfit was with familiar whip she had dangling on her belt. Levy took notice of it and slowly made her way to Erza.

"Erza, do you see-"

"Yes…something odd is going on here…" Erza said cutting Levy off.

"Nothing odd is going on, Erza-san." Natsume said walking towards the group, her voice soft and stern.

"I know exactly who all of you are, your powers, and weaknesses. But, we are not here for pointless chatter. I only have one need from Fairy Tail and I intend to get it one way or another." Nastume stated loud and clear.

"Where is Lucy Heartfilia and Natsu Dragneel?"
