Makarov just stared at Natsume for a few minutes, but it felt like an eternity. Baron…what are you up to?, he thought to himself. Finally, Makarov found some courage in his heart and began to talk about his real reason for finding Natsume.

"Dear child, have you heard of someone who goes by the name Baron?" he asked simply.

Natsume turned her head slightly towards him, thinking of nothing about the question. "Yeah, what's it to yah?" she asked in a nonchalant manner.

I thought so…, Makarov thought, his thoughts now racing about the danger this girl has gotten herself into. Taking in a deep breath, Makarov prepared himself for what was to come next.

"Well. Baron and I were once colleagues. Except, he wasn't called Baron then. His name was Cole Drastause. He didn't work for any magic guilds, but he was very close with the Magic Council and even went on missions with me when we were lads." Makarov spoke, trying to not jump to conclusions. However, it seemed that he had peaked Natsume's interest. She was now looking at him with full attention, her eyes wide with astonishment.

"It was right before I became a guild leader actually. Baron had completed a secret experiment and wanted me to be the first one to see it. He was always a bright young man, always wanting to help everybody and to make obtaining peace easier. This project though…He defied the laws of nature…" Makarov spoke, feeling these past emotions sneak up on him. Suddenly, he felt Natsume's hand grab his, her hand were gentle and delicate.

"Please continue, Makarov…" she asked with a small but comforting voice. Her bright green eyes met Makarov's, sending a wave of comfort over the old man.

"Baron…had stolen the DNA and magic of a few of his friends… With their information, he tried to create this perfect being…One that was powerful and could be duplicated…The only price…was that he had to kill his friend in order to obtain the information…I won't explain why, but then he figured that why stop there…He planned to wipe out all of Fiore's citizens to create these creatures and to make a perfect world…I tried to stop him there, but he said that an ingredient was missing, so his plans couldn't go in affect. I played it off like I supported him, but I went to the council immediately…It took the entire annihilation of a city and all it's inhabitants for them to realize how big of a threat he was." Makarov looked over at Natsume, her eyes wide with shock and disbelief.

"Wh-what?! Th-that can't be true! Baron created a way to save all of humanity! He…He revolutionized medicine so people could live longer and be more in tune with their powers!" Natsume protested, her blood starting to boil. Makarov stood up and looked at her with anger on his face.

"CHILD, do you know what you're getting involved with?! Baron was a mass murderer and was unstable in the mind and soul! Resurrecting him will do nothing but bring pain and suffering to Fiore, including you and your friend Logan!" Makarov shouted at her.

Natsume's eyes widened, anger had completely consumed her now. "How do you know Devil's name?! I know I told you mine, but how do you know his?" she shouted at him, reading a ball of her starlight powers in her hand. Makarov had a golden glow surround him and the air turned cold around the two.

"Because I knew from the second that Lucy was attacked, it had to be done by a disciple of Baron! Lucy's family held the secret ingredient that Baron longed for all those years ago and refused to give it to him!"

Natsume smirked, "Oh? So why are you giving me such juicy information then, old timer?"

"Because you're going to tell Logan and your guardian. And I'm using you as an example of the punishment!" Makarov growled, his eyes turning white and his body growing tall over Natsume. Natsume took a step back, staring up as the once small old man grew taller than a mountain and had the aura of Achnologia. However, she did not flinch.

Her body started to glow white; her hair swirled around and turned lighter, light blue scales formed on her skin and horns grew out of her head. Natsume's eyes turned all white as well and she grew fangs. She almost resembled Natsu in dragon force, but this power was not that at all.

"I'll show you what happens when you battle a beast of the stars!" she hissed, launching herself at Makarov. Natsume extended her right arm and fired starlight bolts at Makarov's face. He was able to deflect them with one hand and tried to hit Natsume with the other one.

"Crap! He's too strong for my basic attacks…Looks like I have to step it up." Natsume whispered to herself. She flew away from his face a little and began to draw a magic circle.

"The Moon is the Goddess.

The Sun is her lover.

The Planets are her servants.

The Stars are her children.

Space is her love,

Her Life,

Her Power."

Natsume repeated this one more time out loud, her hands rotating and drawing out the circle.

"Oh Goddess, Grant me the power to shun those who defy you and cleanse those who have become your humbled servants!"

Makarov froze upon hearing the words of the spell, he had only heard this spell used once; and he lost a dear friend that time.

"No…This spell…DON'T CAST THIS SPELL, CHILD!" Makarov screamed, reaching his hand out to destroy the circle. His hand was too slow, and the final encryption of the spell escaped Natsume's mouth.

"Starlight Sacred Spell: MOON GODDESS JUDGEMENT!"

A few hills over, Natsu, Lucy, and Happy continued on their trek to Lucy's mansion. However, a sudden chill caught Natsu's nose and his eyes widened.

"GET DOWN!" he screamed, grabbing Lucy by the waist and shielding her near a giant boulder. Happy flew down and snugged between them out of pure fear.

"Natsu! What in the—" Lucy was stopped as a bright white light flashed across the land, sending gusting winds in all directions like a hurricane.

"Kyaaahhhhhh!" she shouted as she gripped onto Natsu's shirt and onto Happy.

Trying to fight the wind, Natsu slowly lifted his head to see where the light came from, and what he saw was incredible. A large glowing mushroom cloud had risen into the sky a few hill over to the east. Natsu was astonished at this sight, something massive must have exploded or something to cause such a great shock wave miles away! However, he could just barely make out a great figure in the cloud. The dust in the cloud began to settle a little and finally a rock shaped form could be seen from where the trio was.

"Is…that…GRAMPS?!"
