Chapter 9: Burning down
∞ Third Person Point view Part 2.
It was Lester's first day official day off from work and he decided to spend his day with his daughter Ally. As he recalled it was July 4 and it was the last time he spent alone time with his daughter. A small smile grew upon Lester's thick lips meanwhile his brown eyes remembered the petite six year old girl that his daughter Ally use to be.
Ally's small little hand was lightly holding onto his right as her gleeful brown eyes were filled with happiness and joy. Mr. Dawson couldn't help but be proud to have her as his daughter and he would always try to make her happy. Ally was the split imagine of her mother but she got her cute personality from him.
The small white skin tone girl was skipping across the gray concrete pathway of Crayon's Memorial Park before racing each other towards the playground. Halfway on their way over towards their destination, Mr. Dawson decides to slow down and take a breather. This choice allowed Ally to instantly pass him by and Lester laugh meanwhile Ally took advantage of his actions.
When Ally reached the green side of the playground, she let out a victorycheer before dancing around the brown premium rubber mulch ground of the playground. Lester cheered her on as he made his way towards the right side of her. The man could still memorized the rosy cheeks of his healthy daughter as her body moved up and down in excitement as he tried to catch his breath.
For hours Lester and Ally played until his daughter's eyes caught sight of a woman who was wearing a colorful scarf around her head while her small son played around with the nearby swings.
Slowly Ally's brown eyes started to stare at them as she watched them played together. Lester was about tell Ally to stop staring until his daughter turned around and faced him with a sorrowful expression upon her face.
"What's a matter?" Lester asked his daughter.
Ally stated calmly, "Daddy, the lady is sad because she is leaving her son soon."
Lester's eye went wide eye as he responds back. "And how would you know that pumpkin?"
Ally's head turns back towards the white skin tone mother and her baby boy meanwhile responding back. "Her green eyes are in pain and I can see she is having a hard time smiling. Plus her skin is pale white unlike her son's peach skin color, and she is trying really hard not to show how much pain is hidden behind her eyes."
Lester's mouth goes wide open from her statement before asking in a disbelief tone, "How can you know that by just looking at her?"
Ally's brown eyes stayed upon the small family as she tried to think of a good answer. A few seconds of silence comes over them as she watches the small family move towards the nearest blue picnic table.
Once they far from hearing distance, Ally turned back towards her father and respond back towards his recent question. "I am not sure! I guess… I see what nobody else wants to see."
Lester kept quiet after hearing his daughter's response meanwhile the memory of that day started to disappear into thin air. And as soon as those memories of his beloved daughter disappeared, Lester's heart became fueled with raged. The blood in his veins started to light up with fire as the rest of his body re- energized for the fight of his lifetime.
In those seconds that passed, Lester tried to hold back the tears inside his eyes while his mind tried to think of a way to get rid of Melanie.
Now Lester knew it would be easy to destroy the weird necklace. All his hands had to do is grab the neck from upon Melanie's white neck and break the small plastic into two parts. The hard part would be getting rid of the doll.
In the reality of the universe, Lester could just throw the doll away in the trash can and never see the doll again. But this here situation… isn't something a person would face in the human spirit. This gothic doll could be from another universe and that would mean that Melanie could just reappear inside the dollhouse and still have Ally caged inside the Dollhouse.
No! In order for Lester to officially get rid of her, he had to think of something that could overpower the doll's influence. However, his brain couldn't muster up a great idea and soon he found himself losing hope on the situation. That is all changes when hears someone state something behind him.
"You can do this Lester!"
Immediately Mr. Dawson's body did a one-eight turn to see the teenage boy from the second floor blue bedroom in front of him. Lester's eyes blink a couple of times to see if he was dreaming about the doll being in human form but his eyes didn't fail to see the teenage boy in front of him.
"Dickon, how can I! I mean— I didn't even know that Melanie was taking over Ally's soul until someone sent me a sign." Lester states towards the doll in a despair tone.
Dickon gives an encouragement smile as he states back, "Well I don't believe that is true ".
"What do you mean?" Lester stated with confusion.
"I wouldn't have sent you a sign; if I didn't think you were capable of saving her." Dickon stated in a cocky matter.
Instantly Lester found the encouragement from Dickon's statement before stating in disbelief, "Then how do I do it?"
Dickon's freckled cheeks slowly raised up into a real smile as he responds back, "There is only one way to fight evil and that is with passion and love. Nothing is impossible. All it takes is courage and determination.
Lester nodded in agreement from his statement before making his way towards the dollhouse. Once he reached the dollhouse, he went into crawling position before grabbing hold of the dollhouse's rooftop with both of his hands. Lester secured his grip upon the pink and white dollhouse before standing back up into his two black shoes.
The dolls inside the two story house let out a gasp from the sudden movement but Lester didn't stop his actions. Instead his now steady feet made their way towards the wooden stairs of the attic while Dickon followed behind. Mr. Dawson kept a hold of the dollhouse before seeing Dickon walking in front of him.
"Here I got the back door for you." Dickon stated in a reassuring tone.
Lester nodded his head as the door magically opened before him. Now in the moment of seeing this sight in front of him, Lester's mouth would have opened in utter shock; however the determination inside his mind kept him from making any other emotions. Lester's breathing was getting the best of him, however he continued holding onto the heavy house as he made his way towards the backyard of his landscape. Dickon's body continued to walking beside Lester until he saw Ally's father throwing the doll into the green grass.
Once the small house was settled onto the floor, Dickon pulled out a blue fire liter from inside his brown pants and put the liter in between the two of them.
"What is this?" Lester stated in confusion.
Dickon's tan hands placed the liter into Lester's white skin tone hands as he responds back, "This is a powerful magic which was given to me by a friend, who also went through this situation with its ordinal owner. It is the only way you can get rid of Melanie."
Lester's hand opens the top of the liter and was hoping it would like up instantly. Instead the fire from within his veins rushed out from his fingertips and into the liter. Lester's eyes widen from seeing the blue fire light up in front of him.
"How is this possible?" Lester stated towards Dickon in disbelief.
The teenage boy responded with a genuine smile upon his face. "The love for your daughter is so strong that the fire within you has come out from your heart. Now go and save both your daughter and the only love of your life!"
Lester nodded before putting the blue fire all over the dollhouse. Instantly smoke rose from the depths of the house before no longer feeling the liter inside his hands. Lester's body stayed glued to the floor while his tired eyes started to blur. His lungs started to be filled with smoke before slowly feeling his body collapsed from lack of oxygen.
In the meantime at the hospital, Austin was sitting down right next to Ally Dawson. His hazel gold-brown eyes stayed upon his best friend as the thumb from his right hand gently rubbed against the top of Ally's left hand. He stayed on the right side of her bedside meanwhile his eyes watched her peacefully sleep.
Austin's heart was torn apart from seeing Ally this way but he decided to start a conversation with her, in hopes that she would wake up from her slumber.
"Hey Alls — the doctors told me that if I talk to you, it might make everything better."
Silence was all that Austin heard and he decided to continue on talking.
"Trish wanted to come over but her parents are still not home from Mexico and I— I miss you Ally. Look– if you can hear me— please move your hand. Just please let me know that you are still there."
Immediately Ally moved her hand and Austin was fulfilled with joy. He was about to call out for the doctor to come, when suddenly his ears pick up the sound of her coughing. Instantly Austin stood up from excitement meanwhile his eyes saw Ally's brown eyes fluttered open up for the first time.
It was consider the best day for both families and it was the one day where neither of the two kids would ever forget.
