Chapter Six: The Land of Waves
One month after the bell test Team 7 had been complete a lot of d-rank missions and today was no exception.
"Okay fella's, What's your 20 in relationship to the target?" Kakashi said into his Transceiver
"My team of clones and I are about 4.8 Meters away from target and we're ready to rock on your signal." Naruko said
"While I don't need clones for just about everything I do, I'm about 4.81 meters and also ready." Said Sasuke
"Distance I roughly estimate about same as Naruko and I'm ready to Go." Sakura said
"Okay..." Kakashi says pausing for a couple second "NOW!"As they heard Kakashi's command they all jumped the target, Sasuke grabs Tora first as Tora tries to thrash his way to freedom by way of a leap before thrashing he proves to be a match for Sasuke, but as skilled as Sasuke is, it takes both Naruko and him to over power and subdue Tora, But not before Tora had successfully torn up both Naruko and Sasuke's Faces as well as Naruko's Clones.
"Confirmed Ribbon of Right Ear." Kakashi says on their Transponders.
"We have a confirmed ID Tora in Custody." Sasuke says
"I Can vouch for him Sensei." Sakura says
"Okay then mission accomplished capture lost pet." Kakashi says into the transrecevier, a couple seconds of silence followed before Naruko and Sasuke scream in pain from as the cat tries to scratch their eyes out…again.
"Not even Matatabi was this furious that one time Gyuki peaked at her while she was in her human form taking a bath." Kurama says as he heals Naruko's cat scratches
"Is this cat possessed or something?" Naruko wonders
"That's a good question."
"I HATE THIS GOD DAMN CAT!"Naruko and Sasuke scream simultaneously Sakura, Itachi and Kakashi start laughing as they carry Tora towards the Hokage tower. When they arrive the Fire Daimyo's wife was standing there.
"OH MY SWEET TORA MOMMY MISSED YOU!" the fire daimyo's wife starts hugging the cat to death, Sasuke and Naruko crack twin evil smiles while Sakura takes pity on the cat, but despite their feelings towards the cat the three of them were thinking the same thing.
"No wonder the cat runs away all the time."
"Alright team 7 congratulations on another successful d-rank mission your next missions is, babysitting Yojyu-sama's boy. Grocery shopping at the neighboring town. Finally helping dig up potatoes at a nearby farm." Minato says Naruko steps forward
"Oh come on!" Naruko complained. "If I have to go on one more d-rank I'll kick your butt!" Naruko's hair starred waving like her mother's when she was angry.
"She's just like her mother!" Minato started sweating bullets
"There's some truth to that." Sasuke thinks. "Plus I'm sure Naruto, Sakura and I can handle it."
"Amen Naruko." Sakura thinks.
"I knew she was going to do this sooner or later." Kakashi thinks sighing. Iruka stands up and says.
"IDIOT! You're still a fresh graduate! Everyone needs to start with the easy missions to gain experience!" Iruka yelled. Minato and the others looked at Iruka like he was crazy.
"Do you want to dance Iruka sensei?" Naruko asked in a cold voice.
"Um no thanks." Iruka said quickly.
"That's what it thought." Naruko smiled.
"Well if your Jounin sensei thinks you are ready then go ahead. What do you think Kakashi, Itachi?" Minato asked
"I think my team is ready." Kakashi says. "Sakura has been really getting stronger as have Naruko and Sasuke, I mean coupled with Itachi's, Naruko's and my training she's grow in power by leaps and bounds and she's a very powerful combat medic thanks to Tsunade-sama."
"I agree." Itachi said
"Alight then in that case I am assigning you a C-rank mission bring in the client." An old man walks in with a bottle of sake in his hand.
"These little brats are supposed to protect me I asked for ninjas not snot nosed brats." Just then a kunai wizzes past Tazuna's ear and imbeds itself in the wall next to him.
"Sorry my hand slipped." Naruko replies coldly.
"Naruko we shouldn't threaten our clients it's bad for business." Kakashi says. "Anyway we leave the village in 2 hours." Kakashi Shunshins off to his house; Sasuke grabs Sakura's hand and Shunshins out and she giggles as she goes and Itachi soon follows suit. Just as Naruko starts walking out when Minato calls out.
"Naruko wait."
"Yes Hokage-sama?" Naruko asked.
"Why do you have a diamond on your forehead?" Minato's look got stern. "You didn't by chance learn kaa-san's Sōzō Saisei (Creation rebirth)?"
"Not just Sōzō Saisei but Byakugō no Jutsu, (Mitonic regeneration: One Hundred Healings.)"
"Why did you learn those two techniques they have very serious risks?" Minato asked concerned.
"It was the only way I could become a true shinobi. Baa-chan drilled 3 rules into my head. 'No medic ninja shall ever stop medical treatment until the lives of their party members have come to an end.' That's rule one the second one is 'No medic ninja shall ever die until they are the last of their platoon.' The third rule is 'No medic ninja shall ever stand on the front lines.' But she told me her fourth rule when she taught me this rule. 'Only those medic ninja who have mastered the Byakugō no Jutsu are permitted to break the first three rules.' So she taught me the technique so I could break the first three rules but I only use it in an absolute emergency especially because I mastered Hashirama-Jiji's healing techniques so I can heal without hand signs."
"Alright only if you use it in emergencies now get going you have a mission to pack for."
"Hai Hokage-sama." Naruko bowed an ran out, as Naruko skipped along the road people waved and smiled at her as she just radiated happiness and the village learned to look past their hatred of the Kyūbi especially as Minato released the truth that the Kurama was controlled by a rouge Uchiha. When Naruko arrived back at the compound she ran up to her room and grabbed her stuff then unsealed Madara's Gunbai and strapped it to her back then she walked down stairs and she saw Tsunade standing there talking to Sakura.
"Now remember my three rules Sakura I taught Naruko the same three rules but she's a special exception but you've shown a lot of promise." Tsunade said.
"Hai Tsunade-sensei." Sakura bowed to her then she ran out.
"Baa-chan." Naruko said gaining her attention.
"Yes Naruko-chan?"
"I'm going on a C-rank mission to the Land of Waves and I was wondering if you knew anything about it."
"The Land of Waves is a very poor country ever since a man named Gato took over the ports but if a bridge were built his hold would break instantly."
"So then this Gato guy will hire whoever it takes to kill the man building a bridge. So this might be a higher rank mission then I thought I'll have medical Ninjutsu ready just in case and worse-case scenario I use Byakugō no Jutsu."
"Alright if you're sure just be careful out there Naruko." Tsunade kissed Naruko on the forehead.
"Hai Baa-chan." Naruko ran out and then when she Sasuke and Sakura arrived at the gate Itachi Shunshined in and a few minutes later Kakashi and Tazuna arrived at the gate.
"Alright were all here let's set out for the Land of Waves." Kakashi said then the six of them walked out of the gate and started walking towards the Land of Waves.
"So Tazuna-san why did you hire us doesn't the land of waves have its own ninja?" Sakura asks.
"No, there are no ninja in the land of waves." Kakashi says. "But in other countries there are hidden villages with their own cultures and customs where ninja reside. To the people of this continent the existence of ninja villages means strength, military strength. In other words that's how they protect themselves and maintain the balance of power with neighboring countries. The ninja villages aren't owned by any government they are run independently own and hold equal status. Now a small island like the land of waves has natural protection from the sea so there is no need for a ninja village. The five ancient lands that possess shinobi villages are the lands of fire, water, lightning, wind and earth they each occupy vast expanses of territory together they are known as the five great shinobi nations. The Hi no Kuni has the Konohagakure no Sato, Mizu no Sato Kirigakure no Sato, Kaminari no Kuni Kumogakure, Kaze no Kunai the Sungakure no Sato, and the Tsuchi no Kuni Iwagakure no Sato. Only the leaders of these five villages are permitted the title 'Kage' which means shadow, Hokage, Mizukage, Raikage, Kazekage, Tsuchikage, these are the leaders the five shadows that reign over thousands of shinobi."
"Then Hokage-sama must be really important." Sakura said.
"Yeah Sensei's powerful alright all of Iwa fears him because of his Hirashin no Jutsu." Kakashi eye smiled. A few hours later Naruko saw a pool of water and was instantly on the alert and she discreetly activated sharingan and hid it with a genjutsu. After the group walked past the puddle two shinobi emerged from the puddle and they launched themselves at Kakashi and Itachi. Itachi and Kakashi were so surprised by the attack that they were caught up in it and sliced to pieces.
"NII-SAN!" Sasuke and Naruko shouted then they charged Gozu and Meizu sharingan ablaze with power.
"SHIT!" Meizu shouted as he noticed Naruko's and Sasuke's eyes. "They're Uchiha! Gozu don't look into their eyes!"
"Too late." Naruko drew her Gunbai and swung at Meizu who raised the gauntlet he and Gozu shared to block it but the force of Naruko's swing slammed Meizu right into a tree. Meizu coughed up blood. Then Naruko and Sasuke jumped back and started weaving hand signs and they used each other's sharingan to predict what jutsu the other was going to use.
"Katon: Ryuka no jutsu!" Sasuke shouted out exhaling a huge blast of fire.
"Fūton: Daitoppa!" (Wind style: Great Breakthrough) Naruko roared exhaling a blast of wind.
"Ninpo Fūton no Katon collaboration: Ōkina Ryu Iki!" (Great dragon's breath!) Sasuke and Naruko shouted simultaneously and the huge wave of fire of the Ryuka no jutsu expanded to 10 times its size. The gigantic fire steam rockets towards Meizu and Gozu whose eyes widened in shock.
"Suiton: Suijinheki!" Meizu and Gozu shouted but the Ōkina Ryu Iki was too powerful for two low rank water jutsu and it blast right though the Suijinheki turning it to steam and then incinerated Gozu and turning him to ash.
"GOZU!" Meizu shouted at his brother then turned to Naruko and Sasuke. "You two are dead!" Meizu charged Sasuke but Naruko blurred in front of Meizu and punched him with one of her legendary haymakers blasting his insides to mush. Meizu coughed up a huge amount of blood then he crashed into the tree and his vision faded into darkness and Meizu was no more.
"Naruko you should have atleast let one live for interrogation." Kakashi's voice came as he and Itachi stepped out from behind the trees.
"HOW ARE YOU ALIVE?!" Tazuna shouted shocked.
"What never seen a substitution before?" Itachi asked off handedly as he pointed to the pile of logs where Itachi and Kakashi had 'died.' "However that's not the point." Itachi's look hardened. "The presence of two chunin level shinobi on a C-rank mission raises this mission up to B-rank."
"You lied to us." Kakashi said glaring at Tazuna
"You have to understand my country is very poor not even our Daimyo has a lot of money we barely scrapped up enough for a C-rank mission."
"If you had been upfront with Tou-san from the beginning we could have struck out a deal but now you might just be placed on the Shinobi mission's black list and you'll never be able to ask for another mission from Konoha. We of Konoha are the kindest of the shinobi villages any other village might have killed you to make an example of why lying to Shinobi." Naruko said and Tazuna started sweating bullets as the thought.
"Well this up to the three of you Itachi and I will go with what you say. Do you thing we should stay and complete the mission or do you want to go back."
"Let's press forward I wanna really test my metal against higher level shinobi I wasn't suing my full power against you two because then I would have really used my power." Naruko said.
"I'm in someone's gotta watch Naruko's back to make sure she doesn't get into too much trouble." Sasuke smiled as Naruko bopped him over the head.
"If Sasuke-kun's in then so am I." Sakura said determinedly.
"Then let's go." Itachi said smiling.
"Kami-sama bless you." Tazuna said crying tears of joy.
"Now you three need to be careful they won't send chunin next time they'll send a Jounin
(Gato's hideout.)
"FAILED! WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY FAILED?!" Gato shouted at Zabuza.
"Stop whining. This time I will go personally and this sword will be the last thing he sees." Zabuza swings his sword and holds just in front of Gato's throat.
"You sure about that apparently the old man hired some protection and they have a high ranking ninja with him. Since your first attempt failed they will be watching it will take someone with very advanced skills."'
"Who do you think you're dealing with? I am Zabuza Momochi the demon of the hidden mist."
