2D's heart almost stopped. Not from almost getting run-over, but from the appearance of his girlfriend, Jeiel. He was so worried about what had happened to her, he just wanted to find her and know that she was okay. Finally, they were reunited.
2D's day wasn't really too exciting. He found out he was in Egypt. The short man that had saved him from the desert, patched up his scorpion wound, and told him that he was in Egypt, had brought him into the city when 2D was good enough to walk. 2D had planned on finding a phone to call somebody or hitching a flight back home.
Jeiel got out of the car and ran into 2D's arms. He held her for a minute.
"I missed you so much." Jeiel said to 2D. 2D looked at her with happiness and love filling his eyes.
"I missed you too, I was so worried that some'fing happened to 'ya." 2D said then gave Jeiel a kiss. It was a very long kiss, and was interrupted by Murdoc.
"Get in the fucking car, dullard, the goddamn police are after us!" Murdoc shouted to 2D and Jeiel. They both got in the hot-wired, stolen car.
Murdoc began explaining everything that had happened to them. 2D then exchanged what had happened to him. 2D looked from Jeiel to Murdoc, there was some kind of awkward tension between the two. Jeiel hadn't made eye contact with Murdoc since she got in the car. Murdoc every once in a while glanced at her with pitiful eyes. What was going on with them? 2D wondered to himself.
"So what exactly is the plan, and does anybody know where Russel or Noodle could be? Darla?" Jeiel asked. Silence filled the car as it plunged into the barren desert.
"I don't know where they could be. I don't even know what to do. I 'fink we just need to find a way home and hope they do too and meet us there." 2D said after the long silence. Some "ya"'s of approval followed after 2D said this.
After a while of driving, the sun began to set. The red/orange horizon was beautiful and enticing. Suddenly the car began to slow.
"Shit..." Murdoc mumbled under his breath.
"What was that?" Jeiel asked, these were her first words spoken to Murdoc since Murdoc had kissed her. Jeiel was shocked he had kissed her, and she had no idea how to approach Murdoc with so much tension and awkwardness between them. She certainly did NOT like it and didn't want it to happen again. Jeiel was in love with 2D and only wanted 2D to kiss her. She feared what would happen when 2D found out, because no matter what you do, secrets come out eventually. Jeiel learned that the hard way, and it was just a matter of time before Murdoc got drunk and told 2D out of a guilty conscience, or before he hit on Jeiel again.
"Unbelievable, we ran out of bloody gas!" Murdoc said punching the steering wheel making the horn honk. They were stranded in the middle of nowhere and it was getting dark fast.
"I guess we will just have to sleep here tonight." Jeiel said. She then climbed into the back where 2D was and sat next to him, her head on his shoulder. Murdoc watched this from the front-view mirror, a hint of jealousy touched his soul. He suddenly looked away, misery hitting him in the face like a hard slap.
The night got cold, as the three began shivering. Murdoc tried turning on the car to provide heat, but it didn't even start. Murdoc then got out of the car. The air outside was much cooler than inside the car. He shivered as he searched the trunk of the stolen car for something useful. What he found, made Murdoc very happy.
The trunk was filled with jugs of gasoline, water bottles, blankets, flares, and a GPS! Damn, this bloke must have been a traveler, fine with me! Murdoc thought to himself. He then grabbed the blankets and the water bottles and opened 2D's door. He handed them the blankets and water. Then he got the GPS and hooked it to the car. After that, he took one of the jugs filled with gasoline and poured it in the gas tank. When Murdoc finished, he got back in the car saying, "Whoever we stole this from, saved our asses."
Murdoc began turning on the GPS and messing around with it to get to the nearest airline. 2D was sipping some of the water with a blanket wrapped around him and Jeiel. Jeiel was beginning to fall asleep. When 2D was sure that Jeiel was asleep, he asked Murdoc a question.
"Hey Mudz..." 2D began. Murdoc looked at 2D from the front-view mirror.
"Yeah?" He mumbled.
"What's going on between you and Jeiel?" 2D asked. Murdoc's face went cold as the blood rushed out of his face and the fear rushed in.
Murdoc chose his words carefully, "Nothing I haven't done before." 2D was a bit confused by this answer. Murdoc had always hit on 2D's girlfriends. All on purpose in spite of 2D, but him kissing Jeiel wasn't on purpose. He lost his senses for a split second and boom, he kissed her. He didn't really know why, he just couldn't resist. Murdoc turned off the GPS and decided to stay parked in the desert for the night. He desperately tried to sleep, he hadn't slept in over 48 hours. Finally sleep pulled him into the darkness of dreamland.
In the morning, Jeiel was the first to wake up. As she stirred, picking her head up from 2D, she accidentally woke him. 2D yawned then opened his eyes.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you." Jeiel said in a sleepy voice.
"It's fine." 2D moaned then tried to stretch his lanky legs in the car. Jeiel looked at Murdoc to see that he was sound asleep. Then she looked at 2D. 2D looked at Jeiel with half-open black eyes, his hair incredibly messy. He smiled at her, revealing some missing teeth. Jeiel had almost lost him and now he was here, her boyfriend, and all she could do was just think about how guilty she felt about not telling him that Murdoc had kissed her. Her smile faltered.
"Are you okay?" 2D asked after seeing her smile fade.
"I almost lost you." Jeiel said, pushing Murdoc's kiss out of her mind. 2D looked at her and rubbed his temples, not because of a migraine, but because he desperately wanted to forget how it felt to be alone in the world, even if a short time. The feeling of being without Jeiel.
2D put his hands around Jeiel's waist, indicating for her to sit on his lap. She sat on his lap, her sad expression not yet gone from her face.
"I was so upset when I couldn't find you, back when I woke up alone in the desert. I felt hopeless, and almost gave up but the 'fought of you, seeing you, feeling your hair, feeling your lips, it was the only 'fing that kept me going, love." 2D said then kissed Jeiel. Feeling behind her for a blanket, her feelings intensified by the presence of 2D. When she got the blanket, she began to take her shirt off. 2D then pulled off his shirt and began unzipping his pants zipper. Jeiel was about to take her pants and bra off when guilt held her back.
"I can't..." She mumbled almost inaudible and turned away from 2D. 2D's eyes popped out of his head when he saw Jeiel's back.
"Holy shit, what the fuck happened?" 2D asked alarmed. Jeiel turned her head back to him. 2D was gently rubbing her sore back, up until he reached her bra straps.
"Murdoc did 'fis to 'yu?" 2D asked, rage slurring his accent. All down Jeiel's back were bruises from the bars in the jail-cell when Murdoc had thrown her against it. Dried blood had collected down her spine because the second time Murdoc had thrown her against the bars, the force was actually strong enough to break through some skin. She legitimately felt pain when he staged the fight but she didn't tell him.
"It's nothing." Jeiel said.
2D shook his head and then asked, "How bad does it hurt."
Jeiel responded saying, "It doesn't, I'm okay." 2D slammed the back of Murdoc's seat, waking him from his slumber.
"What the fuck..." Murdoc began, 2D glared at him with a murderous look. Murdoc stared at the innocent looking Jeiel, thinking she had told him about the kiss.
"Why would you tell him, look 2D it was a spur of the moment..." Then he noticed that her shirt was off and she was only wearing her bra.
"You bastard, you bloody hurt her!" 2D said then gestured Jeiel to turn so that Murdoc could she her back.
Murdoc stared wide-eyed at the bruises and blood.
"I did that?" He asked, but knew the answer already. He didn't mean to hurt her when they staged the fight, but Murdoc was used to beating up very strong people, so when he pretended to fight Jeiel, he hadn't realized how weak she really was.
"I'm so sorry." Murdoc said to Jeiel.
"Spur of the moment? Like those spur of the moments you used to have on me?" 2D asked, remembering when Murdoc used to physically abuse him.
"No... I-its... that was an accident." Murdoc continued to stutter as 2D was still pissed that he had harmed his girlfriend.
"No wonder you two are so awkward and tense together. Jeiel, please tell me he didn't hurt you more than you are letting on, because I will kick his ass if he did!" 2D threatened.
"No, 2D, that's not why..." Jeiel began, unable to find the courage to tell him about the kiss.
"Will somebody please say why then? Why are you too so awkward? What happened?" 2D asked in desperation.
"I kissed your girlfriend. Don't be mad at Jeiel, because it was all me, she pulled away instantly." Murdoc finally said.
