I shivered a bit as I looked around at the snowy surroundings.
"What the bloody 'ell was that?" Murdoc asked me. Had my green aura just turned a bit teal?
"I have supernatural powers now, Del and I simply transported you guys to Russia. Sorry 'bout that Jeiel, I didn't know it would hurt you. Anyways, we have to go get Noodle." I explained. Jeiel had her arms crossed and was shivering next to me. Murdoc flanked my other side. 2D was just behind us. I glanced back and caught him looking pitifully to Jeiel, who ignored him.
Al'ight Russ, Noodle is inside that house right up there. You're gonna have to walk a bit, sorry 'bout that, sometimes it isn't easy transporting human beings. Del said to me. I don't know why but I nodded, Murdoc looked at me oddly. I know that Del couldn't see the nod, but since we were together, I know that he at least felt the nod.
"Noodle's up in that house up here." We began all trudging to the house. Panic struck me as my aura had gone from green to blue. I felt a slight tingle in my limbs.
As Jeiel walked next to me, I bent down and whispered in her ear, "You know that 2D didn't mean it and he loves you, right? I mean he really loves you, like actual L-O-V-E, and he would never hurt you on purpose. You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Girl, I know, that you know that he don't deserve the silent treatment." I told her, 2D hadn't meant to punch Jeiel, she just got too close when 2D was punching Murdoc.
Jeiel looked back at 2D, his shoulders hunched as he only stared at the snowy ground. Jeiel looked forward, continuing the silent treatment.
Ugh, couples... Del commented in my head. We still had a bit of ways to go and we all shivered in the cold, especially Jeiel. Murdoc had been wearing jeans and a long-sleeved shirt. 2D was wearing a blue graphic hoodie with regular jeans. Jeiel, unfortunately, had been wearing a pink, low-cut tank-top with jeggings. For those of us that don't know what "jeggings" are, jeggings are leggings made to look like normal jeans. Aka, "FUCKING FREEZING". Her feet soaked and also freezing from wearing ballet-flats. Even I had been wearing a long-sleeved shirt. I mean, we hadn't changed since we were abducted from New York, and it had been a little warm due to spring.
Suddenly without warning, 2D came up behind Jeiel and took his hoodie off, wrapping it around her bare shoulders and chest. Then without a word he picked up the pace and walked a couple feet in front of us. His arms hugging himself as he endured the cold in his short-sleeved shirt. Jeiel looked at 2D with a surprised, grateful expression, the hoodie still wrapped around her as she began shivering less and 2D began shivering more. I looked at Jeiel until she met my eyes, she looked at me with guilty eyes.
"I've seen that look before." I said with a knowing look. I had used her own words from her a couple days ago. Murdoc had watched the entire thing and looked at 2D as he continued ahead of us, shaking from the cold. That was incredibly adorable. Ima do that when I get a girlfriend. I thought to myself but I know that Del had heard me.
Soon we had made it up to the front porch of the house that contained Noodle.
Jeiel walked up to 2D and gave back his hoodie saying, "Thanks." 2D wouldn't take it though, instead he put it back on her. Then he submissively looked down not making eye contact, like a puppy who knew they did something wrong, would. I knocked on the door. A man came and looked at of us critically. He said something in Russian and I surprisingly understood it.
"Hello, who are you?" He said in Russian.
How do I do this, Del? I asked.
Just speak like normal, I'll be the one actually speaking Russian, it will just come out of your mouth.
I did as he said, "Hi there, we are here for a girl with short purple hair, goes by the name of Noodle. I have reason to believe she is here." It was weird, it felt weird saying it. Murdoc, Jeiel, and 2D all looked at me wide-eyed.
"When did you learn Russian?" Jeiel asked.
I ignored the question as the man's eyes lit up and he said, "Yes, she just collapsed in the cold. She's okay now but we don't understand a word she's saying!" Then he beckoned us inside.
Noodle was slumped on the couch in irritation that nobody could understand her. Her expression changed as she saw all three of us enter the house.
"You saved me, how did you know I was here?" Noodle said running up to us each giving us individual hugs.
"I had some help from Del, anyways, no time for this, we must save Darla." I said.
"Oi, hold up, I don't wanna do that weird transportation thing again." Murdoc said.
We have to. Del informed me.
"Too bad." I said then grabbed them all in a big group hug thinking about Darla. I felt the roller coaster and weightless feeling less this time.
When I opened my eyes, I was in a strange empty room. 2D, Jeiel, Murdoc, and Noodle all on the floor gasping heavily. Soon Murdoc and 2D had fully recovered. Then so did Jeiel and eventually Noodle. I watched as my blue glow slowly turned red.
Shit... Del said.
Um, hello, whats that mean? I asked Del.
He was quiet then he finally said, It means we need to hurry! The transporting is burning your body faster! I panicked and ran to the only single door that was there.
2D tried opening the door but it was locked.
"Stand back." I warned then I punched the door hard enough to make it burst out of it's hinges and scatter across the floor with a loud clatter. Everybody stared at me with wide eyes.
"Damn..." Murdoc said under his breath.
"More surprises..." Noodle mumbled to herself. Jeiel and 2D just stood staring.
"Come on..." I beckoned them as I entered the room.
My breath was taken from me when I saw Darla. She was tied to a chair and she was bleeding. Bruises surrounded all over her skin, one eye looked horribly swollen. Cuts and scratches engulfed her entire body. She was horribly battered and obviously tortured. The gruesome image made my skin crawl. I ran to her.
"Darla, look at me." I said. She slowly opened her eyes.
"Ru-ss..." She had a hard time speaking my name.
"You have... to leave... before...they come." She spoke barely audible.
"I can't believe he would do this to you." I said to her, but I was suddenly interrupted.
"Russel!" Came some shrill shrieks to me. I turned my head to find Robbi. He had a large gun pointed to Murdoc's back.
"Little help, mate." Murdoc said panicking.
"Nobody moves or I shoot him!" Robbi threatened. I put my heads up in surrender.
"Don't shoot, if you shoot anybody, shoot me. Please, not my friends." I begged. My friends began protesting, even Murdoc protested this idea.
"Alright then." Robbi said and in a quick move, took the gun off of Murdoc's back and shot me straight in the gut.
The bullets passed straight through my body like I was a ghost.
"'Da fuck...?" I said under my breath.
Um, hello, I got 'yo back. Del said.
"You've done it now." I threatened Robbi who started freaking out in fear and began shooting more and more as the bullets passed through me harmlessly. I went up to him and grabbed his entire body and threw him against a wall. He hit it with a sickening thud.
Careful, don't kill him. Nobody deserves to die before their own time, no matter how bad a person they are. Del cautioned me.
"Now what are we going to do with you?" I asked with a smirk.
Jeiel had already begun untying Darla. 2D, Murdoc, and Noodle began to help her. Robbi was winded but the gun was still in his hands.
"You're invincible..." Robbi began.
I nodded my head, "Yep, you fucked with the wrong guy, shithead." I told him.
Then Robbi continued, "But they're not..." Before I could react, Robbi pointed the gun at Jeiel and pulled the trigger.
It all happened so fast. 2D dove in the way of the bullet's path pushing Jeiel away so she wouldn't get shot. By doing this, the bullet hit him instead in the stomach and he laid on the floor gasping as he began bleeding out. I grabbed Robbi's gun and broke it in half and chucked it so Robbi could do no more harm. Shit, 2D had actually taken a bullet for Jeiel, if that wasn't love, I didn't know what was.
I ran to him. Jeiel was already next to him caressing his face and crying violently as her mascara began to run.
"No! Why would you do that? Why would you risk your life for me?!" Jeiel asked, her voice cracking as she placed her head gently on 2D's chest.
"Because I love you..." 2D struggled to say then closed his eyes as his breathing began to slow...
