Chapter 5: Sinful Escort & Smelliest Mission Ever!

It's official... Raiden's the fastest and strongest character I have now. I wonder who else will be in the game as time goes by? Hohoho, I can't wait!
The next battle will be the Sinful Escort, escorting a woman who has a "sinful weapon" with her out of the battlefield and look for some kind of portal so she can go home. Kinda like the- what's it called again? Unlimited Mode! That's the one!
For this battle, I'm using Nemea, Sophitia, Raiden, Ina and Lu Lingqi. The battlefield is rather risky, though. It's near Tian Shui, means that Cao Pi will be there as well as Nobonaga... Not to mention we have to pass that area to get the the portal. I'm using Raiden because I wanna see his move sets
"It'll be hard, you know. This escort mission" Lu Lingqi said as I nodded, "Maybe, but I know you guys can do it..." I said hesitantly, Raiden sensed my discomfort as he asked a question, "What's wrong?" I kinda felt slightly guilty for wanting to ask the question I wanna ask but... "Nah, it's nothing really important. Just a bit worried that they'll interrupt" I said
Susano'o nodded, "I'm sure they'll interrupt if we get close them, so we must stay away from them-" he said before asking me, "When are we going to sneak into the Sky Castle?" I looked at everyone as I took out a paper from my pocket
"... We'll leave immediately after this battle. Taigong Wang, Joan of Arc, Shennong, Zhao Yun and Sterkenburg will be our main. Since we have an army now, even though 1 officer can only have 1000 men, we can place each officer in a certain area. Just in case we're found out and we'll have to retreat fast with them" I placed the paper on the table as it was the map of the castle
"So far, we have... 3 in each Army but we also have a limited option for now. Using 5 only. We'll use Gan Ning, Yoshitsune, Achilles, Xu Shu and Kiyomasa. We'll place them separately, hiding from the enemy. Where do you think they'll suit?" I asked Shennong as he looked at the map. The map was pretty much like the one where Yinglong transformed into Orochi, the only exception that it has stairs and we have to find the library below the castle and "borrow" some books
"I'll say Kiyomasa the exit point which will be... Here" Sophitia pointed to the southwestern point, "Yoshitsune should be here, near the gate to the exit. Xu Shu shall be... Near the library as a look out for Taigong Wang and the main unit. What levels are Gan Ning and Achilles?" Ina asked as I looked at their stats
"Level 461 for Gan Ning and Level 326 for Achilles, strong enough since the battle has 7 stars" I said, Shennong nodded, "We need a distraction, since we'll be looking for a very rare book in the library that's in the forbidden section. It's hidden somewhere so it might take a while for is to find it" he said as I understood
"I see, so Gan Ning and Achilles will be decoys? What about the real Susano'o?" I asked, "The main unit will be split into 2, the 'Retriever' and the 'Helper'" Susano'o said as Taigong Wang continued, "Shennong and I will be the 'Retriever' while the others will be the 'Helpers'. Both of us will get the book as only mystics can enter, the others will be helping the decoy team in other places. Of course, Xu Shu will be the only exception as he will be waiting for us near the library"
I let out an "ah" as I listened to the plan. Now that we're informed on the plan that we'll be using to invade the castle, "Alright everyone! Let's start our escort!" "Alright!"
Koshi Castle
"I see... So they freed the girl that was being transported here, interesting" mumbled Zhuge Liang as he heard it from Da Ji, "Ugh! These guys are pissing me off! We need to find their base ASAP so we can lock their leader in jail and make their officers serve Lord Orochi!" She whined as she looked at Kotaro who was in his armor, bandaged all over him underneath
Zhuge Liang has sneakily went past them as he looked at Kotaro. He looked like he was almost burned to death, 'Is this Black Parade human... Or not?' He wondered as he eavesdropped on them, "Even with our forces, the Black Parade is out of our league. The red warrior whom I fought claimed himself human, but he managed to regenerate himself and fought with fire on his right hand. I think that is his source of power, if I remember correctly. He said it's the 'Heredity Seal'"
Zhuge Liang has made his way towards the dungeon and find Liu Bei's and Sun Jian's jail. He was equally curious about this Black Parafe group but it's best if he finds out with his own way. As he finally reached the prison, he whispered and motioned his hand to them
"My lords" he said as both lords looked up, "It seemed that this Black Parade group has freed a girl who said who can summon spirits from another world. Also, this red warrior managed to injure Kotaro to the point near death. He uses a power called 'The Heredity Seal'"
"'Heredity Seal'? What's that?" Sun Jian asked as Zhuge Liang shook how head, indicating he doesn't know, "I see... What else is about them?" Liu Bei asked, "This red warriors doesn't 'seemed' to be human but claimed himself as one, even though he can regenerate and use the power similar of Master Zuo Ci's but-" Zhuge Liang paused as he thought of something disturbing about them
"They may be a third party of this war, as they have no interest in fighting Orochi's forces unless it is to help the people requesting their aid. Mostly civilians and not us warriors, lords and even strategists" he said, he didn't knew bit something kind of felt... Odd with them around, "Maybe they also have a different goal from ours that's far beyond what we've imagined" he mumbled. If only you knew, Zhuge Liang. If only you'd knew...
Tian Shui
"Cao Pi" said an arrogant man with brown hair and white/red outfit, "Da Ji just sent word, be wary of a group called the 'Black Parade'. If we do end up meeting them, we'll have to destroy them" the blue clothed prince with long brown hair perked up as he heard of the news, "'The Black Parade', Mitsunari? I've heard that they managed to defeat a whole army with just one of its members" he said as the other shrugged
"Isn't that just rumor though? Anyway, we need to pacify Nobunaga immediately if we want to take a break" the strategist told the prince before he ordered the troops to attack the army that was charging towards the main camp, "Lord Cao Pi!" A messenger said as he kneeled down in front of him
Cao Pi changed his attention towards the soldier, "Witnesses report that the Black Parade is on the battlefield at the southwestern base! They seemed to be escorting a young woman who is holding some kind of cylindrical box in her hands!" He bowed as he have his report
The former Wei prince chuckled, "Honestly, I want to meet them. Mind if I took the field?" Before Mitsunari could even answer, Cao Pi already grabbed his weapon from a nearby base wall and got onto his black horse and just left
With Lu Lingqi and gang
"Yuzuriha..." Lu Lingqi said, "You... Why did you spare that soldiers' life? That meant that we're now fully exposed to the enemy" she asked as Nemea nodded, "She has a point, this escort was supposed to pass through the field of battle without both armies knowing but I guess I do understand why you spared him" he said as he walked away from the two
"Everyone has the right to live, it's just a sad thing that we're born into the warring age" Ina solemnly said as she looked at the daughter of Lu Bu who looked troubled before nodding, "Everyone!" Sophitia yelled out to catch their attention, "It would seem Cao Pi has taken the advance towards us, we must hurry" she said before looking at Raiden, "We'll be counting on you" she said before they al disappeared, leaving Raiden and Yuzuriha alone
"Alright kid, get on my back" he said as he kneeled downs. The pink haired girl was confused for a moment, "For what?" She asked, "Just get on and I'll run us through the field in high speed" Yuzuriha pets out an "oh" before climbing onto his back, making sure that the cylindrical box was safe in her hands
Before he could get far, however, he was stopped by several elite units of the Wei-Orochi army, "Well, if Toriko can fight with Komatsu on his back with his bare hands, I can do better" he mumbled to himself before pulling out his High Frequency sword from its sheath to reveal a dark crimson color with red lightning all over it, "It's time for Jack... To let'er rip!"
Back in House
"Ah, the Muramasa sword. One of the deadliest swords ever built. Sadly it's also mispronounced by Konami saying its a Murasama sword..." I said as I looked at Sam's used to be sword on the screen.
I was from the bathroom just now and had to put the remote control outside since I've activated Raidens' self-awareness. Looked so cool! Raiden was slicing and dicing everyone the- wait a second... "Did someone pushed the Awakening Button!? I remembered I didn't!" I yelled out from the door
No one answered... Figures. Man talk about crazy! Raidens' no longer Raiden but now Jack the Ripper! Damn, he might accidentally kill someone! Geez, Raiden! Why do you have this Persona but I think it's more of a Shadow. I'm talking about Personas and Shadows now, I remind myself of those protagonist in the Persona Series.
Anyway! We need to control Raiden back a- shit! Cao Pi! And I ain't taking about our Cao Pi but the other one! Damn it! Raiden, get the hell outta there!
Cutscene
"So you're one of the members of the Black Parade?" Cao Pi asked Raiden who was holding his sword tightly, trying to control Jack inside, "Yeah, so what about it?" He asked. The prince of Wei merely looked at him from his horse, "Why don't you join me and we'll be able to defeat Orochi and claim the land ourselves? With you on our side, that goal will be easily obtained"
Raiden just "hmphed" until he heard a voice inside his head, 'Oi, Raiden. Mind if I take control for a while?' Nikky asked as the cyborg nodded and let her control him for a while, "Not interested, as we said to the Shu forces who also wanted to recruit us. Sorry, and no you can't bribe us or use any other methods" Raiden said as he pointed his sword towards him
"Now... Out of the way" he growled. Cao Pi examined him before he heard some horses running towards him. It was Mitsunari and several elite soldiers, "Just in time... Destroy him" the cruel Prince of Wei said as the soldiers rushed with their horses to obliterate the cyborg
End of Cutscenes ala DW7
'Back in control! Charge!' Nikky yelled as she controlled Raiden to easily slashed Orochi's henchman in pieces. It even made Mitsunari's eyes widened at sight, "That's a bit... Disturbing" he muttered as he saw blood and limbs all over the place. The was a sight to behold in horror, disgust and maybe a bit of... Pukeness? If that's a word, then yes. Pukeness
House
"You've gone a bit too far there" Tama-chan said as Joan nodded, "That's too... Brutal" she said. I just shrugged and said, "That's how Raiden fights. Blood and gore, limbs here and there, a merciless killer. That's in the past though, but his Persona, Jack the Ripper, still lies dormant inside and that's making it a slight problem for him" I explained as I watched and used Raiden in the big screen.
I've just realized that I can connect the goggles to the TV, so the gang and I can see what's going on. They should've said so before! Wearing goggles all the time is annoying! Man, talk about downright mean! Thank god Yuki-chan was there to help me but... Somehow, I fell that Yuki-chan is changing. From a serious warrior to a more reckless but loving warrior. I like the change though, it's cute!
Susano'o was on the computer, or rather laptop and was sitting in the sofa reading Raidens' history, "I see... A child soldier from Liberia. Doesn't look African though" everyone nodded as it was true. He looked more like an American but as he said: "I belong to no country. I'm my own man"
"This might be a problem" I said as I watched Raiden slaughtered many soldiers in the cutscene with Yuzuriha on his back. She looked as emotionless as ever, I wonder why? Ask the author who made her, obviously. Ah... It seemed Yuzuriha's afraid of him... That's something new...
With Raiden
'How the hell did I ended up in this sea of blood?' Wondered the cyborg as he inspected the environment. Limbs on trees, diced meat on the ground, brains sliced in half of more, heads rolling down hill, blood pouring from destroyed-used-to-be bodies. Heck, some limbs are still mobilizing themselves for a few seconds before they completely died off
He looked around to see no one was there, not even Cao Pi or Mitsunari who may have run off somewhere when they saw the slaughtering of their men, 'You've gone waaaaayyyy to far there, Raiden, my boy' Nikky said in a very Doctor-way. Raiden could only stare before averting his eyes to the girl on his back. She was scared. Real scared. Her eyes and ears closed shut, her body trembling like she was almost the victim of the slaughter
'Not again...' The ex-child soldier sighed before letting the girl down and the other characters appeared, "Let me take over, Raiden. You've done enough" Sophitia said as he nodded. Before he disappeared with, he asked everyone, "Are you scared of me?" The characters stayed silent, 'I'm not scared, I think your cool!' Nikky said, trying to cheer him up, 'Huh, that's what my son said before'
"I guest what you did is pretty cool, but to be able to kill these men with a smile... Jack the Ripper is terrifying indeed" Nemea said, looking at the scene. Lu Lingqi patted his metal shoulder as she tried to comfort him as well, "Everyone has a side that they don't want to show to others, so don't worry about it. Besides-" she said as she looked at the distant battle, "We live in the age of war, nothing is inevitable"
With Cao Pi and Mitsunari
"You've got to be kidding me... That is what we're supposed to destroy? He's not even human!" An elite soldier yelled as he managed to get away from Raiden because of his horse, another soldier was too afraid as he was sitting in a fatal style murmuring something. Almost all the soldiers were in that position as Cao Pi inspected his troops
"Troop morale is incredibly low because of that machine-like man, even though we've own against the battle against Nobunaga... We should head back" Mitsunari ordered, "Still..." The former-prince argued while looking at the place where they had their encounter, 'To think the Black Parade has someone as strong as Orochi, not to mention a clone of him... But what is their purpose when they're not involving themselves in this war?' He thought before following Mitsunari
With Certain People
"Fu Xi, take a look at this" a white haired youth said as he pulled put a scroll from one of their scouts. A man that looked like in his late 30s, wearing a silver armor with green, blue and yellow feathers took the scroll and read it, "Interesting... This Black Parade group... I wonder what they are?"
Back in house
"Has Lu Xun woken up yet?" Sterk asked earning a shook from Cao Pi's head, "Not yet, might take a while for him to recover" he said before glaring at me, "And why the hell should I play doctor?" He growled before he pointed his hand to himself. He was wearing a doctors lab coat complete with glasses and those thingies for hearing heartbeats, "I can't help it! The thing said that if you wear that, you would have the abilities and the brains of any kind doctor! You're pretty much the healer of our group y'know!" I said.
A few chuckles were heard, some we're trying to hide them by coughing (Orochan, Susano'o) while other were more visible (the women mostly) "But seriously, why me?" He complained again, I smiled darkly in my mind when I asked, "What are Lu Xun's symptoms from the fight?"
The Prince of Wei adjusted his glasses like a doctor before saying, "Several broken bones, especially the ribs, fatigue, some internal bleeding, and if I'm not mistaken Kotaro was using some sort of poison from a pufferfish" he explained, "And exactly what kind?" Taiging Wang asked as Cao Pi explained again, "Tetrodotoxin is a potent neurotoxin that shuts down electrical signaling in nerves by binding to the pores of sodium channel proteins in nerve cell membranes. The pufferfish contains lethal amounts of the poison tetrodotoxin in its organs, especially the liver, the ovaries, and the eyes whereas skin is usually non-poisonous" he paused to take a breath before continuing. Sterk looked at me with his eyes twitching. Everyone seemed quiet when they were trying to listen to his lecture
"The poison, a sodium channel blocker, paralyzes the muscles while the victim stays fully conscious. The victim is unable to breathe, and eventually dies from asphyxiation. Pufferfish poison, especially in Japan, is 1200 times stronger than cyanide and there is no known antidote readily available but thanks to Shennong, now there is"
"The standard treatment is to support the respiratory and circulatory systems until the poison is metabolized and excreted by the victim's body-" he stopped before realizing he was giving us a lecture when most of us were staring at him, with a face that was saying "I have no idea what you're talking about" , "And that proves my point exactly, doctor Cao" I said before a coughed to change the mood
"Guys, you're back. How's the mission?" I asked, Raiden stayed quiet as Nemea was the one who gave out the report, "It went smoothly, we even got this as a gift" he said as he pointed to something Ina was carrying. A cylindrical box... Wait, could it be-, "Void Genome?"
Tama-chan took interest as she asked, "What's that?" I began to explain what that is, "It's power. A power that can draw out peoples' hearts and transform then into weapons. It's kind of picky too, if someone is not compatible with it then he or she will die. What does she say about it?" I asked as Ina said, "It's slightly different than the one the anime used. Usually, only humans are able to withdrew them but now animals can. People over 17 years old can also be pulled out, and it now has a mind of its own by deciding who can wield it" she said
I nodded as I processed the information. Only the "chosen one" from it can it be compatible, only one way to find out though, "Alright, everyone. Make a circle and put the Void in the middle" I said. Everyone seemed confused but did what I told anyway, they all formed a circle with the Void in the middle. It seemed to vibrate visibly, "Alright everyone, which direction will that thing lean will be the chosen one. Now stay quiet and look" I whispered quietly enough to let everyone hear my voice
The Void shook violently as we held out breaths as the Void was slowing down its pace and leaning... Leaning to a person that I'm surprised to see...
Somewhere
A brown haired male opened his eyes to see something he didn't expected to see. He was surrounded by a streams of silver ribbon like ropes swaying from left to right and too to bottom. He could see some box-like pictures, but it turned out to be his memories from his past. On his feet, he was standing on a circular blue symbol that he could not recognized.
'Where am I?' He thought before a voice was heard. He couldn't tell what it was saying, but it grew louder each second
"You... Are perfect..."
It's what it said in a man and a woman's voice
"Take this... It is power..."
It said again. The male was trying to grab his sword before realizing it was not there
"A Sinful Crown... Allowing you to control people's hearts..."
Before he knew it, several silver ribbons got attached tightly to his right arm. He winced in pain as it marked his palm. A strange symbol that look similar to that of a soaring eagle surrounded by a strange aura
"Take it, Fair Knight... And become the King..."
House
"Who knew it would chose you of all people?" Yukimura said as Sterk looked at his right arm, "Never expected that either" he said before another cough was heard, "Anyway" I coughed out on a serious voice, causing the mood to change, "Alright, everyone! It is time to start our plan!" Instantly, everyone became serious with their bodies tensing up, "It is time to start Operation 'Bookworm'! But first-!" I yelled out, causing them to be confused slightly
"How the hell do you get to the Sky Castle again?" That sentence instantly changed the mood yet again as I can imagine some characters heads were on the ground with their legs up anime-style. Some were making a face saying "are you kidding me?" And some were twitching their eyes
"Usually, we can just go up there by making a portal but-" Susano'o started as I listened, "It's connected to another portal there and it's heavily guarded by the other mystics, for the safety and security of things" I sighed. So how are we gonna get there when we don't have a single idea on how to get there? "There is a rumor though... I heard it when we were saving the people at Cheng Du" Rachel began
"Somewhere near Chang Ban, there is a large vine that grew from the clouds and as long as it can touch the ground. It's just a rumor though, but there's a chance it's true" she said, "But unfortunately, it's near the Wu forces" finished Cao Pi. Hm... Chang Ban and vines... "It's worth trying to see it guys. The ones who will investigate it will be Wen Yang, Tama-chan, Ginchiyo, Susano'o and Motochika. That ok with you guys?" I asked
No one raised their voices, "Alright then people, let the Bookworm Reads!" The warriors that I've chosen for this mission all nodded before trying to exit the house. Key word: tried. As in the group can't get out of the house but for some strange reason, only Motochika managed easily
"Huh? Why can't you guys pass?" Escaped Sterks' mouth as a pop up message appeared on the screen. It said:
This team is not suitable for this mission. Only to those who's Japanese voice actors are in Toriko, regardless of number, can accomplish this mission. They will have the powers and personality of their characters and cannot have others until the mission is succeeded
I stared at the pop up message before checking the mission. Oi, oi, oi! Is this what I think it was!?
Smell Bomb of Chang Ban!
Victory:
1. Destroy the Dodurian Bomb within 30 minutes!
2. Find the Invitation to Heaven!
Defeat:
1. Party is wiped out
2. Time runs out for Dodurain Bomb
Difficulty: 8 stars
Orochi stared at the screen before paling, "Damn you, Okiayu Ryotaro..." Zhao Yun, Sterk, Motochika, (from the army selection and we got them recruited early!) Sima Shi, Zhu Ran could only gap on horror as they were supposed to be on the team. The team that destroys the worlds' smelliest fruit: the Dodurian Bomb!
"I never thought that these suits would be useful" Taigong Wang said as he summoned suits that looked like those orange outfit for people working in the nuclear plant, enough for us, but not for the assigned team. Wait, just how did he got them in the first place though? "Why can't father be unlocked first!? He's going to have the same voice as the three of us!" Shi pointed to himself, Motochika and Orochi.
"Maybe he's special? It's possible" Susano'o shrugged, "B-b-but my voice actor only works as a minor character as Tom! He only ships your character on seas!" Zhu Ran complained as he pointed to Okiayu's characters
"Hold on a minute! We should pretty much blame the one who acted as the one who revived the Dodurian Bomb which is-" said Tama-chan, looking at a certain spearman while everyone (in the team) stared at him
"Zhao Yun..." Everyone (in the team) growled menacingly. I could swear that they're out for his blood as the rest of us slowly walk a few steps back while staying quiet
The said dragon winced before silently cursing himself, "Damn you, Onosaka Masaya... Why can't Lord Zhuge Liang be here instead of me? And why did you have to be chosen as the one who revived the Dodurian Bomb, Teppei?"
... And CUT!
The perfect cliffhanger with lil'ol Zhao Yun cursing at Onosaka-san! I know there's more like Sima Yi, Zhuge Liang and such but they're not unlocked yet poor Shi has to do this mission! Not to mention sharing his voice with his father now! That would be most... Interesting.
I hope it'd not like I'm WO3 where Okiayu-san sounded like he was talking to himself and sounded like he some split personality (no offense, Okiayu-san! You will always be my favorite seiyuu! :) )
