NEW CHAPPIE FOR MY SUPER LONG FANFIC TIMMMMEEEEE
Plus a new character shall join the fray... Who shall it be?
Chapter 8: Let The Race Begins!
Are they ok? Are they dead? Most unlikely, since you'll just faint from the smell. Then we'll have to wait, for the next possible months... Which we don't have. They need to eat at least a bit of the meat to stay conscious, and they need to take repeated baths for the next few months before they can do anything else!
"At least that takes care of the fruit, but the smell might linger and not to mention... Our men are still there," Nobuyuki said to me as we looked at the dome that Zhao Yun had made in that short period.
"Surely, the problem now is to erase the smell inside the dome and then we can advance towards Liang Province where Dong Zhuo and Kotaro Fuma is waiting for us," Rachel stated, still angry at Dong Zhuo. But of course, all of the females are angry at him so we'll be joining Zhen Ji's side of the story.
You can't really blame us for hating that swine of a pig. I mean, I'd probably have a hidden dagger if I work for him: which means NEVER IN MY FUCKING LIFE! He's practically one of the guys that deserves to die by my hand. Hehehehehe... Now let's think of a way to torture the said soul before he goes to hell and meet Enma-Daiou...
In the Dome
"Ugh... I can't believe I actually survived that again..." Groaned the Serpent King as he rubbed his head from the sore aching of the impact of the ground. One reason he was still awake is that he ate a small piece of the stinky fruit.
The onesthat survived were Motochika and Sima Shi, the others kept on fainting and waking up and fainting and waking up again and gain and again like an endless cycle.
"You can say that again," Sima Shi stated the obvious.
"Well, we did survive the first so we'd probably survive the second one," Motochika said to brighten the mood up, but it wasn't entirely working.
"Anyway, we need to feed these guys some of this stuff so they can stay up," Orochi said, looking at both males.
Sima Shi looked disgusted as he looked at his own hands, while Motochika was staring at him with an odd expression. The snake sighed and snapped his fingers, causing a small pieces of the fruit float up and was forcibly inserted into the rest's mouths.
"Uhok-!? What the hell you tsuchinoko-!? I can't see!" Zhu Ran yelled, not able to see what's right in front of him.
The others began to wake up from their constant cycle of waking up and fainting once more, "Well, it's dark but how's the bean stalk?" Sterk asked to anyone who heard him.
"It's alright but we do need to get that stink off somewhere. If we release the dome, the smell will rot the plant," Raiden replied in their heads.
Zhao Yun was beginning to have an idea. With that evil smirk of his, everyone could only step away from him, "I think I can arrange that for you."
Koshi Castle
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS SMELL!?"
"AHHHHAAAAHHHHH! MY NOSE IS BLEEDING!"
"I... I... I-I... I CANTSTAY CONSCIOUS"
"WHERE DID IT CAME FROM!?"
"PLUG THE SOURCE-! AGGGHHHH!"
House
Using his vines underground to create a tunnel all the way to Koshi Castle and send the smell there. Wow. Zhao Yun, you are one mean mastermind sometimes. I could only cringe at what they've been through and pray for the Resistance's survival.
"Right, we have succeeded at destroying the fruit and transporting the smell away from the Invitation to Heaven. Now we need them to take multiple baths over and over again," Ina stated, looking at the screen where our main team was currently staying away from Chang Ban through the tunnel.
Judging from the scenery, I think they're in Nan Zhong. The dense jungle that surrounds them, the fresh river that flows near them, the sound of the animals chirping, roaring or whatever they sound. An idea suddenly struck my head when I was watching them try to bath off the smell.
"Guy, can you hear me?" I asked to the microphone, I heard their voices in the headphones.
"Loud and clear, Nikky. What's your order?" Zhu Ran asked, looking up to see me.
"Well, you guys smell like shit basically so you can't exactly come here until the smell is bearable for us. What I do want you guys to do is to search the world, so that at least we know what the other forces are doing" I explained.
"So basically, we'll be like scouts?" Sterk asked, with me nodding my head.
"That's actually a good idea, considering that we're tight in time. Not to mention..." Nobuyuki looked at the rest of us with a sigh.
"We have beat Dong Zhuo and free the ladies fast then we'll go to the Invitation to Heaven and get to the library. Sound good everyone?" We all nodded our heads as a new window opened up in the screen.
Femme Fatale!
Victory:
1. Save all of the female officers!
2. Defeat Dong Zhuo!
Defeat:
Either female officer defeated
Difficulty: 14 stars
Condition to play:
All female officers, no males are allowed
Bonus:
A female assassin is seen near Liang Province
Another yet unknown female warrior is seen near Liang Province
Reward:
Get all female characters
"Oh?" Shennong said, amused by the bonus that the screen had written down.
"A female assassin? I have a feeling that our numbers will go up again," he commented, I nodded my head as I have a feeling who it might be.
Who was the other female warrior, though? The thing also stated that she's not known too... Hm, now I'm interested.
"Right then! How many girls did we unlock other than the playable ones?" I asked myself, looking at the Army screen to see-, "Completely next to none! Alright! Tama-chan, Lu-chan, Ina-chan, Sophitia, Joan, Gin-chan, Rachel! Let's start the battle!"
I pressed the R3 and L3 button together as all female characters began to take their stances and ran out of the house. It would also seemed that there's a reward for completing the bonuses for both Ultimate mode within a time limit and the unlocking the character mode... Interesting...
With the girls in the camp
"So let me get this straight... We only have 10 minutes to free all of the girls and finish the battle and we'll receive a reward for that?" Lu Lingqi asked as Nikky answered a loud and clear.
"Yep, most of our battles are against time. This is no different. We need to concentrate to free all of the girls and continue with the plan that we didn't even started at all, but this is only for one character. The other character may have something else in her sleeve and I'd prefer to have her on our side," she replied.
It did made sense, as time was actually against them. They knew what was going to happen but at the same time, they want to prevent them from happening. Time was their main enemy, other than the real Tamamo-no-Mae. They've been in that world for several months and yet they only had little progress on how to save both the world and the real Orochi himself.
"Do you have an idea who this warrior is?" Joan asked, Nikky seemed to think very hard but she got nothing at all.
"Nope, no idea but I do have an idea of who is assassin is though..." She wondered out loud.
"I have to agree with that, but we have no time to chit chat. Let's go everyone," Ginchiyo ordered before continuing, "Our orders are to escape with the prisoners alive, move out!"
With that, everyone except for Ginchiyo jumped back as they disappeared into thin air. Her serrated sword in hand, she was about to run until a figure was seen just right in front of her.
Cutscene
A woman stood in front of Ginchiyo and the gang as they carefully approached her, their weapons ready to act accordingly to their wielders.
A silver, pirate-like hat, a gray vest connected to the red scarf on her waist, thick gloves, armed with hidden daggers, a gun on her side, navy boots. No doubt about.
"Vous êtes Aveline de Grandpré?" Joan asked, speaking in her native language. So Nikky was right about her suspicions. Aveline was also in the Warriors Orochi world.
"Tu sais qui je suis?" The dark skinned woman asked, looking at them with her hidden daggers ready to serve their master.
"Oui. Cependant, qu'est-ce que tu fais ici?" Joan replied, curious to what she was doing in a place, or world, like Orochi's.
The woman looked at the bases. She seemed to be in a hurry when Rachel saw her hands were made into fists.
"J'ai entendu une rumeur selon laquelle il y a des gens, en particulier les femmes, sont piégés ici pour le plaisir d'un homme. Je suis ici pour les libérer et de tuer l'écume."
The Aveline leered towards them, suspicious at their movements, "Et toi?"
"Nous allons dans la même direction alors que nous avons trop cet objectif à l'esprit," Joan said to her, lowering her weapon to show that they have the same objective.
Aveline smiled, lowering her weapon as well, "Intéressant ... Parlez-vous anglais? Vos compagnons semblent perdus à notre conversation," she chuckled.
"Oui, I do. This here are Ginchiyo, Sophitia, Lu Lingqi, Ina, Tamamo-no-Mae, and Rachel, "she introduced her team as the woman nodded in acknowledgement.
"Aveline de Grandpré, and you are?" She asked the saint.
"My name is Jeanne d'Arc," seeing the shocked expression of the assassin, Tamamo-no-Mae finished her off, "Yes, she is the one called 'La Pucelle d'Orléans' or 'The Maid of Orléans'."
Aveline narrowed her eyes, "That is impossible. She died on May 30 of the year 1431. How will I believe you when there is no proof?" She asked, crossing her arms together.
Ina puts her hand on her chin, thinking of a way to try and get her to believe them, "What about a deal? Your choice," This caught Aveline's attention as she stayed quiet, signaling her to continue.
"A deal? And the conditions?"
"If we win, you'll have to come with us. If we lose, well... Your choice, but let's tell you this that we won't go down without a fight," Lu Lingqi explained.
Aveline considered her options carefully. Those two conditions weren't exactly that bad. If she were to join forces with them, she may gain useful information about the world that she was sucked into by the odd vortex when she was fighting against Agaté.
"Very well then, what about a race? Those who saves more behind the shadows wins," she said, the gang looking at Rachel.
Ginchiyo smiled, "Agreed, then let the race begins!" Almost instantly, Aveline rushed through the nearest tree as everyone disappeared leaving Rachel alone.
She was the fastest out of them all, even with her heavy weapons. All that matters now was speed, "You have three minutes to save at least four because there's a total of... Oh interesting! There's actually more characters here from DW7 and SW4 probably," Nikky mused before she continued.
"Then again, Zhenji, No and Xiao Qiao has not met yet and I see no one there. That means they are still in their respective forces so we have to save them ourselves. Five enemy female officers, from what I've heard from the scouts, and the one we need to save area total of 11 people so we have to at least save six fast but the unknown female warrior is not moving at all from the map. She is staying put where there are the least enemies which is... Just at the edge of the western map!"
"Thanks, Nikky! By the way, will you let us act on our own?" Lu Lingqi asked, before feeling that she was free of control.
"It'll fasten time already give you guys all the control. Let's kick some ass-! Wait, I mean, let's be sneaky!" She said, causing all of the playable characters to run off towards their separate destinations. The race had begun.
With Nikky and gang
I kept my eyes on the screen the whole time, carefully watching each and everyone of the girls doing their work in different screens.
Didn't I told you before? I guess I didn't but if I free all of them from my control, I can see everything of what they're doing because of the different screens popping every twenty seconds or so. It's enough to let me be updated.
Rachel just used her new earth powers to kill a soldier guarding the gate that leads to Shangxiang. I saw her opening the gate but disappeared quickly as Shangxjang seemed confused to what's going on but took the opportunity to sneak out.
Ina was using... I did not noticed her having a black pipe with her, but that way she'll be able to kill someone easily because the darts are poisoned and small so no one will suspect a thing.
Tama-chan with her tails to lure enemies away from the gate and then killing them was a pretty good strategy too. Alright then, everything is going smoothly!
I looked at the timer at the top right and the number of people we need to eat which was six. The timer signifies Aveline's speed. If it reaches zero before the counter reached six then we'll lose. But if it didn't then we'll win!
I stole a glance at everyone as they kept watching the screen carefully with the exception of Cao Pi who kept on going in and out of Lu Xun's room. He seemed pretty worried.
"Is something wrong, Cao Pi?" I asked him, causing everyone in the room to stop looking at the screen and watched us.
He tapped finger on his crossed arms, "Well, I was going to tell you after the battle ended but I guess I can't hide it," he said before his face turned serious. I gulped.
"What's wrong with him?" Yukimura asked, narrowing his eyes.
He took a deep breath before exhaling, "It's nothing big now, but it will be if we leave it for long. We need a stronger anti-venom."
"What? What do you mean?" Nemea asked, confused to what was going on inside the doctor's head.
"It turns out the one we created before wasn't strong enough to break down all of the venom. Some are still lingering inside his blood capillaries. We're lucky that it's a small amount compared to when he got those," he paused before closing his eyes
"But if we want him to be cured completely, we'll need them before the next week passes."
I heard the silent, "If we want him to live longer," but it was hidden behind that sugarcoat.
Shennong widened his eyes before taking out a small book from his pocket and began searching. He skim and scanned the whole book carefully before closing his eyes and the book altogether.
"I don't have the herb," he told us. Oh shit. I felt an aching feeling in my stomach.
"Why didn't you tell us about this sooner!?" I heard Nobuyuki demanded, obviously angry at him.
"I needed make sure if my assumptions are correct! A doctor with the wrong hypothesis is a dead one!" Cao Pi defended himself.
As much as I hated him for not saying something sooner, but I saw his point. He didn't want us to worry if his assumptions are wrong.
"I see your point, but still... Lu Xun is in a coma and now he's dying. We must put a halt in our plans to find out a way to revert Orochi back to Yinglong," Taigong Wang sighed before realizing something.
"Wait, the Forbidden Book may contain useful information about something that can cure every illnesses regardless of type except for curses! Since Lu Xun is not cursed, it might work!" He said excitedly, looking at us with hope in his eyes.
"We need to get that book. Fast," Susano'o said immediately. The rest of us nodded, all agreeing that we need to get to heaven A.S.A.P.
The screen then changed once again to find Sophitia on the roof of a base. The one locked inside was the real Ina, a surprise attack? That will work but it's a bit risky because there will be guards that are immune and will warn the others.
I bit my lip. Time was against us. Scratching my nose, I silently tap my foot.
"Nikky, do you hear me?" We heard a voice from the speaker. It's one of the scouts. Zhu Ran!
But I never thought we'd get some info this fast though, "We read, what did you find?" Wen Yang instantly said to the microphone.
We finally managed to get the the headphones and microphone off of me, which is a real relief! It did, however, transformed into a really big speaker and microphone attaches to the tv and my Playstation but oh well, at least my burden is lifting.
The pyro was silent for a while, which caused me some insecurities about stuff but he spoke, "The girls are fighting right now, right? Well, I happen to be nearby and I uh... Found someone worth mentioning."
"And that person is-?" Raiden asked, wanting to know who was the one worth mentioning.
We heard Zhu Ran gulped as the screen showed him hiding far, far away from the figure behind a tree.
"First of all, I'm still smelly from the last mission but I managed to get a telescope from a merchant cuz I saved him from the demons. I can't help but think I've seen her somewhere too..." He reported.
Looking through the telescope, the POV changed into a first person view. It stayed still and showed nothing but grass.
"I think you're supposed to move the analog," Raiden said. I moved the analog and it also moved. Frick. I so stupid. Why me no use brain?
I moved the telescope around until I saw the "someone that's worth mentioning" and holy crap... I seriously know her...
Fuck...
Meaning:
You are Aveline de Grandpré?
You know who I am?
Yes, we do. However, what are you doing here?
I've heard a rumor that there are people, especially women, are trapped here for a man's pleasure. I am here to free them and kill the scum
And you?
We are heading in the same direction then, as we too have that goal in mind.
Interesting... Do you speak English? Your companions seem lost at our conversation
And thats a wrap for this chapter, hope you guys enjoy it and see you in the next one!
