"Look at the scene! It is splendid! Ooh, Robin, is it not pleasing to see?"
To Robin, it wasn't the most impressive town he had been in. But he did find the architectural and landscape context of Markovia quite cool. But just seeing Starfire wide-eyed at the view below was satisfaction enough for him.
"It's picturesque," he commented.
"We still have plenty of time for some exploration," said Red X, cutting off the cute conversation. "I'd like to see how much has changed since I left, though by the looks of it not very much."
Red X was feeling mixed emotions about being in Markovia, but he knew it was the right thing to get in there and infiltrate his parents' plans. He reciprocated the anxiety with Jericho and Brian, who both were indeed twitching the nerves out of them.
"Why don't we split?" Cyborg had a sneaky look on his face as he gave the suggestion. "And meet tomorrow morning somewhere?"
"On the city outskits would be the safest bet," suggested Red X, approved by Jericho with an agreeing nod.
Raven glanced at Cyborg to see what he was up to. His head subtly pointed at Starfire, and she immediately was in on it.
"I'm with Cyborg," said Raven. "We split up and we can get an overview of the country, or city, more quickly."
"Thank you," said Cyborg, quickly giving Raven a wink.
Raven, like the three Markovians, was feeling a certain degree of anticipation. She had not contacted Beast Boy for weeks now, and she was a bit concerned that Slade or Terra might have got to him already. The warning Phobia had given the team repeated in her mind. But her instincts were telling her that Beast Boy is alright, and he can soon return safely to Raven. And they can be together again, and continue where they left off.
"A-are you sure?" asked Robin, skeptic as usual.
"Come on, Robin, grow a pair," said Red X nonchalantly. "Titans, separate!"
"That's my line!"
Without a moment to protest, Robin heard a button being pressed, and soon later found his part of the ship lighter.
"Meet at the little meadow a hundred metres from the city outskirts by dusk," instructed Red X before steering his mini-ship out of sight, Jericho and Brian's ship following.
"See ya Robin. See ya Starfire." Cyborg sounded as if he was about to tear up laughing.
The couple watched Cyborg gone into the city, then turned to Raven.
"I'll follow him," she deadpanned and she, too, was gone.
"What are we waiting for, Robin?" exclaimed Starfire. "Let us explore this wonderful world!"
I can show you the world
Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?
Robin watched starry-eyed Starfire press her face against the ship's window, like she were a kid looking in at a candy store.
"I have never seen such structural magnificence! Is that what you call 'the slums'?"
"That's a castle," replied Robin.
"It is pretty!" Starfire had to be one of the most enthusiastic tourists, Robin thought. "May we pick up the toothpaste?"
"'Pace'," corrected Robin, and he obliged.
Starfire's mouth was agape with amazement. The castle was not the only structure marvelous to her eyes. They were hovering above the Marketplace, where even though it was nighttime, Starfire could still spot a couple of stalls lit with the owners in them.
"I am assuming they prefer to live in their own shop," she said. "They seem pleasant, though. That is lovely. This is a harmonious life, do you not think, Robin?"
Robin gave a little nod. "They do appear innocent."
"And as long as they are content with their lives, they do not care what luxuries they lack. That truly is love. Look at that father there!"
Out of enthusiasm, Starfire took Robin's hand and pointed towards one of the lit stalls, where a grandfather was rocking a baby to sleep. Robin couldn't help but smile at Starfire's warmheartedness.
"It's great that you feel joy from others'," he said. "Your heart is in the right place."
Starfire smiled at Robin's comment, then said, "I want to fly over the country. May we please do the 'pull over'?"
I can open your eyes
Take you wonder by wonder
Over, sideways and under
On a magic carpet ride
Robin had parked the mini-ship at the meeting spot at the meadow. Just as they hopped out of the vehicle, Starfire offered Robin a hand.
"Do you trust me?" she inquired. Robin shook his head in amused disbelief, but took her hand nonetheless.
"Without a doubt."
Then, even though Robin was used to it by now, he felt a sudden loss of weight and a tremendous gain of height as Starfire pulled him upwards and reentered the skies above Markovia for them to enjoy the view without a window.
"Wheeeheee!" exclaimed Starfire.
Starfire was flying fast enough that Robin was not dangling, but instead following Starfire's motion. Robin peeked at the view below him.
"This is breathtaking," he gasped.
"It is better, yes? Let us go faster!"
Starfire then had a sharp turn downward and Robin found himself in a roller coaster situation. Starfire zoomed closer to the Marketplace, and zoomed through stalls in zigzags.
Robin murmured, feeling dizzy. He could hear Starfire squealing with much delight.
"This is fun!" she exclaimed. "Robin, peek a sneak!"
Robin got a hold of himself finally, and was seeing what Starfire saw; The view of Markovia's areas in endless angles. What a thrill, he thought.
"Yeah!"
Starfire looked back at him affectionately.
"It brings me much pleasure to see that I have succeeded to have you in the state of infatuation, Robin," she smiled.
Robin returned the grace, and they continued exploring Markovia.
A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming
"I don't care if I'm finding a needle in a haystack, I'm using my empathy to find Beast Boy."
Raven explained to Cyborg as their ships hovered above Tarbal Avenue. Raven had 'air-parked' her ship and teleported to the stone pavement.
Cyborg flailed his arms in disagreement.
"Are you nuts?! Your powers track down emotions, and what most of the people here are feeling right now is sleepy. And you know how Beast Boy is, he's probably dreaming," said Cyborg through the communicator.
To his dismay, Raven shook her head. "No, I believe he is out continuing his task. I will find him."
Just as Raven was about to conceal herself in telekinetic energy, Cyborg flailed his arms one more time. But this time, it was in defeat.
He sighed, "Okay, okay. I will track him down using his DNA and my hi-tech sensory device. That should be more effective.
Raven gave a warm smile. She knew she could always count on Cyborg.
A whole new world
A dazzling place I never knew
But when I'm way up here
It's crystal clear
That now I'm in a whole new world with you
"We shouldn't be out this late. The Tarbal Avenue curse might come to haunt us. I wouldn't want that."
Gerard gave Terra a playful face and smirked, replying, "You're not scared, are you?"
Terra smirked playfully back. "Of course not. It would just be a shame to see you disappear despite it benefitting us all."
Gerard looked at her curiously. "That was… unconventionally dark. You need to sit down and rest. Look! There're benches there. Let's take
a break, and then head home."
Terra yawned and moaned sleepily, "Sounds like a plan."
The two walked to the seats by the pond. Just as Terra got comfy with her seat, she heard a distant, high-pitched happy
"Weeheehee!"
Terra shrieked at the sudden sound. "What was that?! Did you hear that?!"
Gerard stared at her inquisitively.
"It sounded like a happy scream, but in the air!" Terra grumbled when she saw Gerard's more confused state.
"Do you just want me to hug you and comfort you?" he asked.
Terra glared. "You don't understand. I've gone through crazy stuff. Try to live in my world, Gerard. It's a scary place."
Gerard snickered playfully. "No, you try living in my world. Take a breath and enjoy it for a change. See this world from my point of view."
Terra shook her head stiffly. "Nope, I can't. I'm cursed forever."
Gerard unexpectedly extended a hand. Terra looked at it weirdly.
"Do you trust me?" asked Gerard, making Terra raise an eyebrow.
"Huh?" She thought, How can I not?
Somehow reluctantly yet willingly, she took the offer.
And before she could refuse it, Gerard plunged her and himself to the pond. Terra heard splashes and an adorable laugh, and joined in the laughter.
Unbelievable sights
Indescribable feeling
Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling
Through an endless diamond sky
Starfire was having the best time flying freely through the country. She felt she could do it all night, because she wanted to explore Markovia hundreds of times.
Robin, on the other hand, was becoming dizzy.
"Starrr…" he slurred sickly. "Uhh…"
It was only then that the alien princess realized Robin was not looking so good. She stopped in mid-air, though Robin was too dizzy to see where they were at that moment.
"Boyfriend Robin, are all left?"
"Alright."
"Are you finding this nocturnal orientation the boring? Do you wish to terminate the activity?"
Robin groaned an inaudible response, and all Starfire understood was the "No…" at the end.
Starfire landed on the ground of where Robin could see housing like a villa. He figured of whatever focus he had regained that they must be where the rich people live.
"I do have the most enjoyable time with you, Robin," her voice was sweet and thankful.
"I do too, Star," replied Robin. He planted a gentle kiss on Starfire's lips before continuing. "Should we go back?"
Robin was expecting Stsrfire to agree with him and fly them back to their ship, but Starfire flung her arms around him and gave him a more passionate, heartfelt kiss.
A whole new world
(Don't you dare close your eyes)
A hundred thousand things to see
(Hold your breath - it gets better)
I'm like a shooting star
I've come so far
I can't go back to where I used to be
Neither of them wished to let go. For as long as they could, and with her alien lungs that is inhumanly long for Starfirr, they heldtheir breaths because they want that moment to last. The longer they kept together, the better it got for them.
Robin was the one who ended the kiss, opening his eyes and leaning his head backwards so that he could get a better vie of Starfire, to him the most stunning woman in all of the galaxies.
Starfire did not seem out of breath. In fact, she looked like she could do longer.
"You're my shooting star, Starfire. Way back when none of us knew one another personally. My only goal then was to become an independent hero, to not only follow the paths of those who inspire me, but to also blaze my own trail. The Teen Titans team was formed because we wanted to help you. You are most probably the most important person in our team. You saw our future without you. It is you who keeps us together; who reminds us to be harmonious and ever-caring; the one who shows us that ther is moe in us than just superheroes with five different sets of traits.
"We have come so far from what we have started, and you are, above all, the most significant being in my whole lifetime. There is not one person that I would rather be with than you. Not even some internationally known legendary hero tops that."
"Oh, Robin," Starfire embraced Robin. "I want us to be more than superheroes. I know we will make it. This is how confident I am with you."
Robin took Starfire by the hand and said, "Shall we head back?"
Starfire smiled. "Yes, we shall."
A whole new world
With new horizons to pursue
I'll chase them anywhere

Let me share this whole new world with you
"Man, Beast Boy, why must you have unstable DNA?"
Cyborg and Raven were at Serenity Pid Park, searching for Beast Boy to no avail.
"This is ridiculous! It's actually not as convenient as your empathy, Raven! Beast Boy has multiple transformations, and each of them give off different features for me to track him. And so far I haven't found a match."
Raven huffed in disappointment, hovering beside Cyborg and keeping her eyes open for any green animals.
"We can keep looking," she told him. "Beast Boy shouldn't be hard to chase after. It's my hobby."
"Uh… That's a lil' more information than I need to know."
Cyborg continually checked the small built-in monitor on his right forearm, and it never showed any lead to Beast Boy's whereabouts.
"Hehe, is it too late to use your powers?"
With a grumble, the hovering Raven hummed her mantra. When she opened her eyes, they shone like two white iris-sized orbs.
Cyborg's hypothesis was accurate; Raven could almost only sense drowsiness around her. She felt so much that she had an urgency to do the same and dream a life realistically with challenges and missions, but she was living with Beast Boy, Starfire, Cyborg, Robin and all her great friends.
But then, she felt a completely different mood wave within the dominating slumber. She almost automatically recognize those emotions, of longing to be with someone special, but also strong persistence, as if toughing it out. She knew that feeling very well. They were how she and Beast Boy felt on their last night.
"I'm on to something," informed Raven to her cybernetic friend. She sounded professional as usual, but her anxiety showed as well, and quite significantly. "Follow me."
Cyborg struggled to keep up with Raven. He could hear him stepping on and snapping twigs, and maybe even innocent insects.
They arrived at tall shrubs, but Cyborg reacted too late and ended up colliding with Raven. They both landed face first on to the grasspatch. Right before her face hit the ground, Raven caught a glimpse of a scrawny green-skinned teen.
"Beast Boy!" she instantly got back on her feet and ran towards her lover.
A whole new world
A new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no
Or where to go
Or say we're only dreaming
Red X, Jericho and Brian the White Monster had mixed feelings returning to Markovia.
"Everything looks the same," noted Red X, and his two mute companions expressed agreement.
But even if on the exterior Markovia appeared unchanged, it had been so long that all three felt like tourists.
It's somehow like a whole new world, thought Jericho. When they were slowly flying over Tarbal Avenue, he scanned the houses for his own. He couldn't spot it, and he was sure it had been renovated awhile ago.
"Jericho, what will you do if you saw Sla - uh, your dad," asked Red X. "If I saw my parents, I'll make sure they pay for what they have done."
Jericho shrugged. Truthfully, he was unsure what he would do if he saw his father after a long time. The thought of reuniting with his dad brought him joy, but finding out that he, Slade, is the arch nemesis of the Teen Titans, bugged him to a high extent.
What if he asks me to join the dark side? he thought. I want to reunite with him, but is he the man that I love? I don't want to decide whose side I'm on… Hearing Xavier talk about his parents has me worried. His hatred for his parents' evil deeds might be how I feel after seeing Sla… daddy…
"Brian, are you feeling alright?" continued Red X, this time asking the mutated person they had been calling 'Brian'.
Brian made his usual sound.
"I'm sorry we can't interact effectively. I do hope there is a way to reverse the effect, then we can track down others who have run away like us and right the wrongs," reassured Red X.
Red X looked at the provincial scene below. He did not know where his obsessed parents were conducting the unethical experiments, but that was why they were there. His eyes focused on the castle, where his parents are. Terra too. He feared for his little sister. He had heard about her not-so-stable condition back in Jump City. His first objective tomorrow would be to find Terra. He vowed.
A whole new world
Every turn a sunrise
Every moment red letter
I'll chase them anywhere

Starfire and Robin had returned to the rendezvous point.
"We are the first to be here," noted Starfire. "Robin, I had the thrillingest night with you."
"So have I," Robin reiterated softly.
"It would be, how should I put it, the 'totally awesome', if we could do this frequentlier," she added. "Alongside our duties, that is."
Robin understood what she meant. He was always the workaholic, but he never intended to show Starfire that it was the only side of him.
With that, he warmly smiled at Starfire and reassured, "We will."
Anywhere, there's time to spare
Let me share
This whole new world with you
"Grateful decency for that wonderful date, Gerard. Even though I am soaking wet, it was the best I have ever had."
Terra and Gerard were near the castle. It was pitch black, as it was dawn.
"Welcome to the good life!" exclaimed Gerard. "Not that yours is no fun, but yo know what I mean."
Terra giggled. "Yes, yes. My past crush is also the easygoing type, but I have to say you top him easily."
Gerard felt great hearing that. "But how are you gonna reenter the Castle? Now that I think about it, how did you even get out of the castle?"
Terra blushed, then said bashfull, "Promise you won't change your view of me?"
Gerard rolled his eyes playfully. "Of course not!"
Terra sighed. She knew what she was about to do would make or break their relationship.
"Okay…"
Gerard suddenly felt the earth rumble. But it only seemd to move from underneath him and Terra. He noticed Terra's hands glowing yellow, and moving in similar motion as the earth. When she put her hands closer together, the a plate of earth separated from the ground. When she raised them, the separated earth lifted them out.
"You're a…?"
"Yes, Gerard, I have powers! The power to move earth! Please don't hate me for not telling you! I don't want you to think I'm a freak or -"
Terra was interrupted by Gerard, who had kissed in the lips. Terra then knew that he was okay with it, and returned the kiss.
"Thank you," she breathed out.
Terra placed Gerard back down while she lifted herself to her bedroom window secretly. Gerard watched Terra wave at him as he himself made his way home.
"I would never call you a freak. I will never hate you because I love you."
