Chapter 5: Detention
Author's Note: Did I mention that I am super terrible with romance and better with comedy (Example: See my Twilight Fanfic)...totally might be why I never uploaded this chapter after a year of writing this fanfic? I decided to upload it since people requested more. I got a new laptop and found it as I was transferring files. Today's song is...Everyone has Secrets by..IU and Ga-in. In this chapter, I think both sides realize...they actually are in 'love' with each other. There is no one-sided-ness anymore, but as always there is that awkward teacher-student thing going on. The korean drama fan inside of me is muttering ship it...ship it.

Ellisana was sitting in room for detention with her head down wondering where Donald was. It would be really awkward if Donald did not have detention today. Dealing with Grabiner alone? That sounds like a recipe for disaster. She waited and waited, but there was no sign of Donald at all. Seriously? The week that Donald behaved bad also happened to occur when Ellisana had detention. Go figure.
She could hear footsteps from outside the room and then she saw Grabiner walk in as she raised her head from the table. He looked rather tired and his eyes looked somewhat bloodshot. She looked up at him and struggled to make eye contact. It was worrying to see him looking like this. She started to talk, "Are you okay?"
Grabiner just looked away and simply replied, "Nothing that would concern you."
She looked rather worried as she rose from her seat and put her hand on his arm gently and sighed, "It probably is my fault isn't it...you are disappointed in me."
Grabiner shook his head, "I expect the best from you. I fear that your grades are suffering as you are distracted with a simple schoolgirl crush..."
Ellisana wrapped her arms around Grabiner and leaned her head into his chest and mumbled, "Don't push me away then. My grades are the highest in my class, stop nagging me!"
Grabiner wrapped his arms around her tightly accepting her affection. He struggled with sleep last night because of her striking similarities with Violet. He then let go of her as he remembered the pain and Ellisana did the same as she looked up at him worried that she was overstepping herself. He looked serious, "You remind me of someone from my past...that I lost." He looked very serious and at the same time tired from a night of lost sleep.
Ellisana blinked, "The girl you went to the 'movies' with? What ever happened with her...why aren't you two happily married? You wouldn't be in this mess...if you just ended up with her."
Grabiner suddenly sat down and let out a sigh, "She never made it to graduation...she is no longer in this world. She died because of me."
Ellisana sat down in the chair next to him and looked shocked, "And you say she is like me?"
Grabiner nodded, "Violet was a brilliant witch. Her weakness...was..." He gulped, "Me...who she had been in love with. She followed me loyally...even into the most dangerous places."
Ellisana moved closer to him with her chair and whined, "But I'm not going to follow you to any dangerous places. I want to live to graduation and I want to become a professor someday just like you. We would be like the power couple. The best teachers of Iris Academy."
Grabiner suddenly leaned in and kissed her, "Keep that promise, my dear."
Ellisana turned scarlet. Kissing out her in the open...IN DETENTION? She looked away and nodded, "Yes sir...errr...honey errr...professor husband...errr..I don't know how to address you."
Grabiner heard footsteps coming from the outside. He quickly pulled away and moved his chair quite a distance away from Ellisana and pretended like nothing happened.
Ronald opened the door and casually strolled in...late for detention with a smug look on his face. He always had that look on his face after he did a prank. That is probably where he was...somewhere in the dorms planting something for someone to wake up to. Grabiner glared at him with an upset look on his face. Ellisana was not sure if he was disappointed Ronald was late for detention or he was disappointed that they were not alone anymore. He shook his head in disappointment, "Just because you have detention every week does not mean you decide to come in whenever you want. Should I assign for you to have a special Sunday detention or a Monday one? Maybe we should give you detention everyday until you get the point...being on time is essential in our world."
Ronald smirked, "Well I figured I would give you some time to make up with your wifey sir! Obviously you must flirt like this...ELLISANA I WOULD HATE TO GIVE YOU DETENTION AND YOUR FIRST DEMERITS." He giggled to himself, "Hieronymous...I'll do anything to get out of that, lets make a love baby!"
Grabiner stood up and looked irritated, "...I give detentions for appropiate reasons Ronald. For this kind of foolish banter...you will be subjected to the worst detention I have ever given." He smirked, "You will be given the detention dungeon...which I haven't given to a student in years...maybe you will learn your lesson...that you need to stop poking your business into other people's private business and be on time for things!"
Ellisana sat at the table scarlet red. Love baby? Flirting with demerits? Who is making up this stuff...what is next fanfiction being passed around? She put her head down.
Grabiner teleported Ronald into the detention dungeon and Ellisana looked over at Grabiner as she stood up, "Sorry..."
All of a sudden, Professor Grabiner pulled Ellisana aganist the wall and started to kiss her passionately.
Ellisana was surprised and in between kisses she gasped..in a mixture of excitment and worry, "What...if we get caught..." She kissed him back as he did, surprisingly Grabiner was a pretty good kisser and she could not complain.
Professor Grabiner kissed her again and put his hand on her lips, "Shhhh...Ella,I doubt anyone will be in here for a while. Think of this as your punishment for distracting me and getting detention."
So apparently making out was...considered a punishment for detention.
Professor Grabiner stopped as he heard a scream from faraway in the school. He grumbled, "Of course it looks like Ronald's victim woke up." He looked somewhat disappointed as he kissed her one more time and went for the door, "Looks like I have to take care of this."
Ellisana stood there leaning on the wall and just looked at the man she just locked lips with...the man...she loved. She whispered as he walked out, "I love you..."
