Hey everyone!

Like I promised, I have started a Christmas story. I'm sorry it's such a short chapter, but I wanted to stop it where I did. I promise the chapters will get longer later on. I hope you enjoy Chapter 1!

Percy

I walked beside Annabeth as we looked at all of the cabins. They were decorated with lights and other Christmas things. Aphrodite cabin had mistletoe covering it, so we didn't go near there, for fear that we might be harassed by Aphrodite campers. As we walked past the Hermes cabin, I couldn't help but laugh. They had mixmatched lights hanging everywhere, and in the middle of all of it was a smiling Santa with a "What's up?" sign below it. Annabeth laughed, and we continued through the camp. This was our first Christmas together as a couple, and I was freaking out that it wouldn't turn out okay. Annabeth was tough to impress. Yet another reason why its tough dating an Athena girl. Then Annabeth spoke, breaking me out of my thought.

"I better get going back to my cabin, or Malcolm is going to have my head."

I laughed as I thought about how Malcolm was so protective of Annabeth, even though she was 16.

"Okay," I said, kissing her. "I'll see you tomorrow."

"Bye!" she said, as she raced to her cabin.

My smile turned into a grimace. Christmas was in 6 days, and I didn't have anything to give her. I would have to phone Mom tomorrow to see if she has any ideas on what to get her.

I walked to my cabin, and braced myself to get squashed by Tyson. He was visiting for Christmas, so he stayed in the Poseidon cabin. When I opened the door, Tyson gave me a bone-crushing hug.

"Brother!" He said. "How was your walk?"

"It was okay," I started. "Hey, do you have any ideas about what I should get Annabeth for Christmas?"

Tyson looked thoughtful for a moment. "I could make something, if you wanted."

I thought about the shield that Tyson gave me after we came back from the Sea of Monsters. "Sure!" I said. "Like what?"

Tyson told me his plan.
