Chapter 9: Showdown 2: Matt vs Misty

Eddsworld is owned by Edd Gould himself, if he was still alive then Tomska, or Tommy when Edd gould died sadly... On with the fanfic! (BTW, this fanfic will be in the 2013's of Eddsworld, because it just looks so adorable, and Tord will appear, but is traveling on his own...).

Our heroes walked out of the forest, and what they find,was Cerulean City.

"Finally, we made it," Matt shouted happily about.

Edd and Tom nodded their heads, and looked upon the city with their eyes. The city was beautiful, as well as the people inside it. Edd placed the map inside his hoodie pocket.

"Welp, what are we waiting for, let's go into the pokemon center to get our pokemon recharged and ready to go!" Edd suggested.

So, the boys go inside the pokemon center, where they meet Ron. Ron was also Harry's best friend, and also was a student in Hogwarts school. They were both assigned to different pokemon centers.

"Hello, my name is Ron. I will provide your need of pokemon restorage!" Ron explains to our three Englishmen.

"Oh, we just need our pokemon to recharge in order to defeat the Gym Leader here..." Edd answered to Ron.

Ron then stared at Edd, wide-eyed. He then whispered into his ear.

"Don't you know who the gym leader here is? Her name is Misty, the tomboy who beats some people inside the gym. I have seen many others try to defeat her, but 60% of the time, no one beats her..." He explained.

Edd then stared at Ron, until the two other boys looked at Edd. Tom annoyed sighed, while Matt just stared closed eyed, anime like.

"Relax, Edd, It's not like she is going to beat us..." Tom explained.

"Yeah, we are pokemon masters," Matt exclaimed, having an anime cat mouth.

Edd then smiled, and thanked Ron for charging the pokemon, and the boys then ran out the center.

The three Englishmen then looked at the Gym. They were not sure if they could defeat the gym leader. Matt then stared, eyes widen.

"Well, you two, are we ready?" Edd asked.

"Well, I'm ready," Tom answered, making a fist.

"I'm not..." Matt said, shaken by the fact that the gym leader is going to defeat him.

"Matt, me and Tom will go in first, while you can go and train your pokemon..." Edd explained to the scared orange haired boy.

"Still doubt that your butterfree is going to actually win..." Tom teased Matt.

"Hey!" Matt exclaimed to Tom.

He then watched as the other two is going inside the gym. Matt walked onto the grass next to the city. He grabbed his two pokeballs that he had. Looking at them, he thought that he didn't had any chance against someone like the water type. Matt sighed.

All of a sudden, Charmander came out of its pokeball,and looked at Matt. It then patted its paw onto Matt's shoulder. He then looked at Charmander, and sighed.

"Okay, buddy, if I don't win, then, at least we did try, right?" Matt asked.

"Char," Charmander agreed with Matt.

Matt then walked into the gym, and saw that the gym leader, was both a girl and had orange hair. He then had hearts for eyes, and ran in front of her.

"Why, hello, pretty lady, I am Matthew, or Matt, what's your name?" Matt asked.

"My name is Misty, and those two are your friends right?" Misty asked Matt.

"Yeah," Matt answered.

"Well, they both had defeated me and got their badges. If you win, then you will get your badge. If you don't, you can always try again. Also, I am a Water type gym leader, so whatever your pokemon is, you better be good..." Misty explained.

Matt then got the rules and nodded.

"I'm ready for this! Let's do this!" He proudly shouted.

Misty and Matt then got on the color platforms inside the water. Matt on blue, and Misty on red. Matt looked at Misty, confident. Misty stared at Matt, while rolling her eyes.

"I'll start! Star-Yu, I choose you!" Misty shouted, throwing her pokeball.

Out came a brown star, with a red Jewel in its center. Matt stared at it, suprised at the fact that it was a starfish pokemon.

"Charmander, I choose you!" Matt shouted, throwing his pokeball.

Charmander then roared out loud at Staryu. It then locked looks at the star.

"Staryu, use water gun, now!" Misty commanded out.

Staryu squirted water to Charmander. It knew it had to dodge the water attacks very quickly. Charmander just stared at the water as the water itself was coming at it. Charmander then got hit by the power of water.

"Charmander, use flamethrower!" Matt commanded.

Charmander gained some strength, and got up. It then shot fire to the star. Staryu then got hit by the fire, and fell in front of Misty. She looked down at it, and tried to figure out a strategy.

"Staryu, use Rapid Spin!" Misty commanded to the star.

Staryu then span super fast at Charmander, and Charmander got the greatest hit from Staryu. Charmander fell in front of Matt. He stared at it, having pity to the fire lizard. Charmander then fainted.

"It's okay, Charmander. We can get her next round...I hope..." Matt wondered, as he returned Charmander into its pokeball.

"Ohh...if you defeat me in the next round, then we had to go into a tie breaker with Charmander and the other pokemon that I have...of course, that would never happen. Edd and Tom may have defeated me in two rounds, and they did not do a tie round, so...I really think that you would lose..." Misty explained to Matt, as she let Staryu into its pokeball.

Matt looked worried as he looked at Butterfree's pokeball. He looked up at Misty, and threw up the pokeball.

"Butterfree, I choose you!" Matt shouted out loud.

Butterfree came out, and cooed out loud at Misty. She then stared at him, and then shook her head in disbelief. He would never win with a butterfree.

"Starmie, I choose you!" Misty threw her pokeball up in the air.

Starmie then came out, which was a purple sea star like, but had ten arms instead of five. Matt looked at the Starmie, and sighed.

"This is going to be easy, Starmie, use Rapid spin!" Misty yelled out.

Starmie then span very fast, and was going to hit Butterfree, when Butterfree got serious, and flew all the way into the sky. Matt smiled and then glared at Starmie. He had this plan coming.

"Butterfree, usr sleeping powder!" Matt commanded.

Butterfree then spewed out yellow powder, which was sleeping poweder. Starmie couldn't dodge the attack, and then fell right into a deep sleep.

Misty just stared at the sleeping pokemon. It just fell asleep as the Butterfree then tackled the star pokemon; which made Starmie fainted. Misty sighed, and then made Starmie return into its pokeball.

"No one had ever used a Butterfree like that. Not even those who actually had one, they usually lose with it. As a matter of fact, you are the first to defeat me with a butterfree...so, here's your badge..." Misty said to Matt, while handing him a teardrop badge.

"Yay!" Matt exclaimed.

He then returned with his friends. Edd and Tom were then looking at him as if he did something weird.

"Hey, Matt, did you get your badge?" Edd asked.

"I sure did. Even she sais that I was the first to defeat her with a butterfree. So...I was right..." Matt teased at Tom.

"Alright, alright, I get it..." Tom said, annoyed

"Don't worry, guys, the next city is Vermilion...so let's go..." Edd answered the two boys.

Our Three Englishmen are now ready to receive their third badge. And their destiny as pokemon champions are still continuing on.
