Penny's POV
I was in the middle of Algebra when i heard my phone vibrate, signaling a new text. Without having my teacher notice, as usual, I casually slipped my phone from my pocket into my lap and turned on my phone. The screen said "New Picture Message from Drake". Drake...I have very mixed feelings about Drake. Not only is he the best friend of the guy I've been crushing on since I got here, he's also the school bully who everyone but Caine and Diana are afraid of. I had to admit, even I'm afraid of him times. But...there's just something about him that makes me forget about his evil, sadistic qualities, he's devilishly handsome. The hair, the eyes, even that shark-like grin...
Anyways, I didn't know what to expect when I saw he sent me a picture message. So when I opened the message, I almost dropped my phone and squealed, but I held myself. The picture wasn't Drake. No, it was Caine. Caine and that slut, Diana. If there's anyone I hate most in the world, it's Diana. She's had Caine following her around the school since she got here. AFTER me. Not to worry, I feel my power growing, even though I haven't figured it out yet. And when I do, Diana will be the first person I try them out on..
Caine's POV
I swallowed a groan when Drake told me he sent a picture to Penny. I had no idea what it looked like, but it couldn't be good. Not to mention probably anything with me and Diana in it would drive Penny over the edge. I'm not stupid - I can tell she likes me. Her stalking is quite a giveaway.
I looked over at Diana, she looked embarrassed.
I turned back to Drake, "Drake, can you please leave the room for a second so Diana can put her shirt back on?"
Drake rolled his eyes, but obliged.
"Thanks", Diana said when Drake left the room.
"I guess we got so carried away that we didn't realize the period ended", I said.
"Guess not, but we should hurry up if we don't want to be late to trig" she said.
I groaned, "I thought we were cutting the rest of the day".
"Not with the jerk around" Diana muttered.
We got dressed and made it just in time to trig. We took our seats, which were conveniently located next to each other.
"At least we only have 2 classes left" I said.
She didn't answer.
Trig ended, and I walked Diana to French. I told her I'd see her next period, and I walked to Health.
The whole period, I just sat there and thought about what happened between Diana and I today.
She likes me. I love her. Where's the problem?
I spent the whole period thinking about this, instead of paying attention to today's lesson. I sit in the back, and it was all about contraception anyways. I know the basics of what she's teaching - how to not get pregnant or catch STD'S, yada yada yada. Nothing I'd have to worry about, I would never hurt Diana purposely.
When I got to biology, I went to my seat in the back. Diana wasn't here yet, or else she'd be sitting in the seat right next to me by now. Shortly after I sat down, Diana walked in. She looked at me when she walked to her seat.
"Diana.." I breathed.
She didn't say anything, but she laced her fingers in mine when she sat down.
I've been waiting so long for that.
Naturally, in bio we were learning about reproduction. Diana and I didn't pay any attention, though. Instead, we were passing each other notes.
"So Diana...Thanksgiving Break is coming up soon..."
In Coates, they want us away from the staff as much as possible so we basically get off 2 weeks before Thanksgiving.
"Yeah, don't remind me", she replied.
"Why not?" I asked.
"It means I have to spend more time with my mom and her creepy new boyfriend. During summer vacation, he tried to look at me WHILE I WAS SHOWERING" she replied.
Oh, that's not good.
"Hm..that sounds horrible! Here's an idea though, how about you spend it with me and my "family"?" I asked.
She looked at me, and after what felt like an eternity, smiled and nodded.
My heart felt like it was jumping around. I never felt this way before, ever.
And with that, the bell rang and we started walking back to my dorm room.
