I DON'T OWN DBZ AT ALL
CHAPTER 4
A knock at the door surprised the champ of the world Hercule Satin. He opened the door to see a teenaged boy, who looked like he was a martial artist. Hercule mentally laughed at the thought.
"Hello Mr. Saain. My name is Son Gohan and I was invited by Videl to have a conversation with you." Gohan said
"Videl invited you? Like I would believe that. Videl knows what i told her about boys." Hercule said
"I did invite him dad. We have a lot to talk about. The three of us." Videl said.
"What's going on Videl?" Hercule asked, while still trying to keep up the exterior of the champ of the world for Gohan.
"We'll explain when you let Gohan in dad. This is a private discussion." Videl said as she motioned for Gohan to just walk in.
"What did you want to talk about?" Hercule asked in a grumpy mood.
"Gohan here is the son of Son Goku, the guy you said you wish entered the previous couple of tournaments, so you could prove you were better." Videl said
"I've never personally met Goku before, but I wanted to fight him before I defeated Cell. After that..." Hercule said, trying to brag and somewhat intimidate Gohan.
"Dad, I know the truth." Videl interrupted
"What truth?" Hercule asked
"You didn't beat Cell. Gohan here beat Cell." Videl said simply
"Even if it was possible that I didn't beat Cell, what makes you think a kid your age would have been able to lay a finger on Cell?" Hercule asked, not trying to back down.
"We were there Mr. Satan. Me my dad, the runner up of the tournament that you didn't win Piccolo, Yamacha, Tien, Krillin, my father's rival Vegeta, his son Trunks and another friend of mine that died that day at the hands of Cell. You won't immediately recognize us because dad, Vegeta, Trunks and I all had golden colored hair. Piccolo has green skin while Yamacha, Tien, and Krillin looked normal. I guess for you to understand you would need to know our story." Gohan said
"I'm not about to sit here and..." Hercule started, but was again cut off.
"You're going to sit there and listen to every word Gohan says dad." Videl said.
Gohan nodded his thanks before telling Hercule of the story of Goku and his friends starting with Grandpa Gohan finding Goku. It was hard for Hercule to not just think that they were just aliens with tricks, but a few things changed his mind. He grew up hearing about the legendary Master Roshi, who would never take a student. He himself was one of those people, who wanted to get apprenticed my Master Roshi, but he could never find the old master. He also knew of The Crane school, but never like their fighting style, which forced him to do everything he could without a teacher. The biggest thing that changed his mind was seeing his daughter using ki. He couldn't just say it was tricks anymore. He had to give in. He believed in it, but was too proud to learn anything new, so he left the usage of ki to Videl, Gohan and his group of friends.
"What do you plan on doing now?" Hercule asked
"My dad said he was allowed to return for a week, to enter the upcoming world tournament. I planned to train with my little brother Goten." Gohan said
"How old is he?" Hercule asked
"Not old enough dad." Videl said. She immediately realized what her dad was asking
"What are you talking about?" Gohan asked
"There is a junior division now. I competed in the first one and was the junior division's champ. Goten as well as (Kid) Trunks will have no choice, but to compete in the junior division." Videl said
"Looks like we know who the finalists are for the junior division." Gohan said
"I wonder who will win though? Do you know which one is stronger?" Videl asked
"No they seem to be evenly matched. From what I heard and saw they both can become super saiyans. Goten transformed yesterday and told me that (Kid) Ttrunks could too. I should probably take (Future) Trunks into the chamber. In a year's time I'm sure he can at least reach the ascended form that the other (Future) Trunks had." Gohan said. While they were discussing things, Hercule was sitting there looking stupid. He no longer needed to put on his tough guy act around Gohan, so he just openly looked lost. He may have listened to the entire story and believed it, but that didn't mean that he understood it all.
"When did you want to go on that date, before or after this training with (Future) Trunks?" Videl asked to the shock of Hercule.
"Tomorrow actually." Gohan replied
"What is going on Videl? You're dating him too?" Hercule said
"You said my boyfriend had to be stronger than you dad. All I did was choose the strongest on the planet." Videl teased
Hercule was speechless, while Videl and Gohan laughed.
AN: Sorry this chapter was so short, but I only planned to have Hercule meet Gohan and hear and believe the truth about Cell's true defeat and other things earlier on. I don't plan to go into detail about the date, but if you want me to, just review and I'll add it as a flashback. I'm also not going into detail about the training, but I will explain how Gohan can use the chamber again after using it for 48 hours already.
