CHAPTER 5
BELLA'S POV
It was now morning and we were still wrapped in each other's embrace. I could hear the morning birds chirping and the water flowing down a stream close by. It feels nice, having his arms around me, holding me. I've missed this kind of contact, but I can't get this comfortable with him.
I unwrapped Adrian's arms from around my body and stand up. He looks up at me in confusion saying "What's wrong?" I sighed and smiled "Nothing. I feel a lot better now thank you. I'm not going to think about him anymore, not after everything he has put me through." He smiled and nodded in response.
"Good. I'm proud of you." His smile grew and I let out a small chuckle. "Okay. So what now." He stood up and came next to me. "I have an idea. Let's go into town and get you that ring, that you mentioned."
I started laughing. "Really? Sometimes you can be so random." He laughed along with me "Hey, what can I say?" I shook my head at his childishness and headed towards the door.
I reached for the truck keys from the glass bowl next to the door and started for the truck. "Are you coming?" I asked over my shoulder as I continued to walk. He ran up next to me and took my hand. "Let's do this."
I laughed again and got into the driver's side of the truck. "My turn to drive." He just laughed his signature laugh and got into the passenger seat.
Once into town I drove around until I found a large parking lot. I pulled in and found a spot. Once parked, I got out and waited for Adrian to come to my side and I took his hand. We walked the footpath of the main street and browsed at the names of the stores.
We came across a jewelers and he practically dragged me inside. He walked straight up to the middle aged woman and said "Good Morning, I was wondering, could you show me the best bridal set you have here?" She looked momentarily stunned as she nodded and asked for us to wait for a moment as she goes out the back.
"Adrian" I said. "What? Why are you asking for the best? I don't need a big one or anything like that, just something nice." He turns and wraps his arm round my waist and just shakes his head with a smile.
She comes back a minute or two later with a blue suede ring box with a silver lining. "This is the best and most expensive set we have." She said whilst handing it to him.
Adrian turned away from me and opened the lid slightly to look at the rings. He shut it and said "I'll take it." She gave him a questioning glance and said "Are you sure Sir? You didn't even have a proper look at it." He smiled and replied "I'm sure. I believe your opinion. How much?"
The woman raised her eyebrows at us "$8,500." Adrian automatically reached into his back pocket and got out his wallet, pulling out his credit card much to my protest. "Ready when you are." He said with a dopey grin, he just looked at me and smirked. She shook her head as if in disbelief and walked over to the cash register.
She typed in the barcode on the rings and up came the price. Adrian just silently handed his card to her and she swiped it in the pin pad. She passed it back to him and went over to put the ring into a paper bag with the shops logo on it.
She handed it to Adrian as he finished putting his card back into his wallet and then his pocket. He reached an took the bag with a quick "Thank You", turning he takes my hand again and we walk out the store back into the street. Looking around he sees a bench under a tree and leads me to it.
Adrian's POV:
Leading her to the seat, we sit, I'm still holding her hand and I have to say it does feel nice and small in my own, perfect really. But I can't think like that, she's just looking at me, waiting.
Oh yeah, rings. I let go of her hand and open the bag pulling out the box, I move to the ground and smirk at the look on her face, haha, she's shocked, so cute.
I take her left hand in mine and say "Please accept these rings and become my wife, I'll make it worth your while." Wiggling my eyebrows laughing. Her face looked so shocked before she burst into laughter and nodded her head saying "Yes".
I opened the box and took the two rings and put them one by one on left ring finger, her mouth opened in shock as she saw them.
"Adrian, no these are too much, so beautiful I can't take these." "Yes, you can and you will. I won't take no for an answer and if your my wife you will only have the best, my princess." She raises her hand for a better look and just smiles softly back at me, she then leans forward and softly kisses the corner of my mouth. I can't help but smile back at her and take her small soft hand in mine and kiss the back of it.
Standing with her hand still in my own we make our way back to the car to go back to our house.
