"Hey, Ia, don't you think these cases are a bit... fishy?" Akiko remarked as she shoved the lock of silver hair found in Haku Yowane's home under the microscope.
Ia nodded, seemingly spacing out. Suddenly, there was a loud noise and she tumbled out of her chair in alarm, having not expected that.
Akiko stood up and held out her hand to Ia, and the platinum haired woman took it. She stood as well, and they both started towards the door. Of course, you'd have to be insane to rob a crime investigation lab, but with all that had been going on lately there was no telling what could happen.
It turns out, it was only an extremely angry Detective Kagamine followed by detectives Shion and Yuzuki.
"Hey! You two!" Detective Kagamine shreiked. "We have more evidence!"
She produced a plastic bag filled with chunks of dry wall. Akiko gingerly took the bag and brought it to the table.
"Thanks. Need anything else? ...And, Kagamine, I think ya might wanna calm down. What's got you so angry?" Akiko put her hands on her hips and sideways glanced at Ia.
"She's mad because we don't have any more suspects for either Madam Aoki being robbed, Miss Yowane's death, and Miss Hatsune's disappearance," Detective Yuzuki answered.
"And because her brother threw out the orange juice this morning," Detective Shion added.
"Go to the store and buy some more." Akiko suggested. "But as for the cases... Ia and I are working on it. Trust me, we're doing the best we can."
Detective Kagamine muttered a swear underneath her breath; Then she exhaled loudly.
"Hey, do you jailers serve bread to the prisoners like in the movies?" The excitable, energtic red-headed girl asked Officer Kagamine.
"Kasane, this isn't for questions about jail. This is not a laughing matter. Do you know anything about Miku Hatsune's disappearance?" The police officer said in a straight-forward voice. "No. Hey, can I wear your hat?"
Officer Kagamine ignored that. "When was the last time you saw Miku Hatsune alive?"
"Two weeks ago. Can I wear your badge then?"
Once again, Officer Kagamine ignored that.
"Two weeks ago. Okay. Kasane, do you have anyone you'd like to name as a suspect? Anyone you think is suspicious?"
"No. What kind of bread do you serve to prisoners?" Teto asked, her eyes shining.
Officer Kagamine mentally face-desked.
