Victoria hurried out of the bar and down the sidewalk grateful she wore flats instead of heels. Ted was a few blocks ahead walking slowly. She soon caught up and grabbed his hand.
Ted stopped and looked at her. "I can't ignore them anymore Victoria, I'm sorry…" Ted said and trailed off as Victoria kissed him.
"No, I'm sorry Ted for not trusting you, I guess its just hard to let go of the past" she answered when she pulled away.
Ted took her hand. "But our past mistakes are what help us shape our future Victoria" he told her.
"You mean you had to know if you had a chance with Robin" Victoria muttered and the man nodded.
"Sorry but yes, that night I honestly thought you were breaking up with me and I waited around forever for you to call me"
"Then Robin calls at two am and you of course have to see her" Victoria interrupts.
Ted nods again. "I was being stupid and this long term relationship was killing me" he explains.
Victoria nods. "Yeah, it was hurting me too but…"
"But I was still the bigger jackass and I know it must be so hard for you to trust me again" Ted finishes.
"I want to though Ted, I love you so much, I love how you willingly went with every silly thing I said at that wedding and then you still chased me down"
"I love you too Victoria, you were amazing and still are, I just…"
"Can't do another long distance relationship" she finished.
Ted chuckles lightly. "Yeah…so what do you want to do Vic?" he asks and she hugs him tightly.
"I want to be with you Ted, after you stormed off Lily took my hand and sat me down in a booth, they all vouched for you" she told him.
"They are great friends" Ted responded. Victoria pulled away and gazed into his eyes.
"So are you, I love how loyal, kind and loving you are Ted" she told him.
"But do you trust me Victoria? Can you trust me to hang out with Robin and know I won't hurt you again?" he asks her.
She is silent for a long time. Then she utters one word.
