Okay wow I guess I forgot about this one. I'm still not sure how it'll end but here's another chapter.
"Yes" Victoria finally speaks after a few minutes of silence. "Yes, of course I can trust you Ted, I mean we all makes mistakes right?" she asks.
Ted nods. "Of course, I'm so glad you can trust me Vic" he tells her. They take each others hand and walk back to the bar.
"Oh good, you two made up!" Lily greets them. "Yeah, everything is great again" Ted answers.
Ted glances at his wife and decides to test her. "Hey Robin? Can we finish our talk from before now?" he asks.
"I guess…I mean…" Robin stammers. She looks to Victoria as well and the woman has to fight to keep calm.
"Don't look at me you guys, Ted has the right to be friends with Robin and I trust he won't cheat on me…I mean we're married now and happier than before" she quickly says.
"Thanks sweetie" Ted tells her and kisses her cheek. He then offers Robin a hand and she takes it. He can see his wife tense up. "Why don't we go to your apartment Robin?" he asks. Victoria pales slightly and Ted wishes she'd stop pretending.
"Um…sure" Robin replies and they leave. "She doesn't trust you does she?" she asks when their outside.
Ted glances back and can see Victoria had moved to the bar. She gets a drink and they catch each others eye. Victoria quickly looks away and heads back to the booth.
"I have no idea Robin" Ted answers sadly.
"Come on" Robin says and they walk down the street. Victoria nervously taps her fingernails on the table. "I have to go do something guys" she says after a minute and hurries out.
"So he is testing her" Marshall muses. "Should we follow her?" Barney asks and Marshall nods.
Ted and Robin walk hand in hand a few blocks. Victoria follows behind trying to remain stealthy. Ted finally turns a few blocks down.
"Why are you following us if you trust me?!" he screams. Victoria steps out from behind a mailbox.
"Ted…I…" she stammers. She then sighs. "I do want to trust you" she adds and he sighs.
"But you can't can you?" he asks.
"I can with any other girl Ted"
"Well that's like a slap in the face…" Robin mutters. "Sorry Robin, I think your very kind but…I just…" Victoria stammers.
"Yeah…I get it Victoria…look…I'm sorry we were in love in two thousand and five but you got Ted to marry you, he's just my best friend now"
"I'm sorry Robin…" Victoria tells her. "I'm sorry to you as well Ted but I can't…I'm sorry I just can't" she says and a tear falls. "If you do love me then…please…" she says and stops.
"I can't choose again Victoria…if you love me you wouldn't make me choose" he counters.
"Fine…" Victoria answers and storms off.
"You mean that Ted?" Robin asks. He looks at her and tears form in his eyes. "I don't want to lose you again Robin but I also don't want to lose her again either" he answers.
"Then you will have to choose Ted because she cant move on" Robin points out.
"I know" Ted replies sadly.
