Angel a POV

This is going to kill me. This is going to get me killed. This job will make me die and I'm not ready for it. Opening the drawer in the abandoned police room with the key Johnny gave me. My job sounded simple enough. Look through record files to find blue eyes of a serial killer roaming through Tulsa. We all thought maybe this crazed psychopath had a record in Tulsa. So my job was to find any suspects on who killed Ponyboy.

"Angela, did you find anything yet?" asked Madeline a.k.a Marie. My dirty blonde haired friend, who was a natural strawberry blonde, was keeping watch in case any cops came for donuts or something like that. She was getting edgier by the second. Yet, so was I. I had no idea what would happen to us if we got caught snooping with the law.

My hands were shaking as I took the files out of the drawer and looked through it.

"Hold the fuck up, I just opened the dang thing," I told Madeline. "Hand me that pen and paper please by the desk. She silently left her post and handed me the items.

Twenty minutes. Twenty minutes and I had only 3 suspects. However, only one of them caught my attention.

"Hey Marie, come here".

"What is it?" she asked. She looked over my shoulder at the file and gasped at what she saw. David. David the Soc was here to.

"Isn't he the one who drowned Ponyboy last year?" she asked. Of course. He drowned Ponyboy with the help of Bob Sheldon.

Bob Sheldon.

He was David and Randy's best friend. Cherry's boyfriend. Those three and Marcia were the only Socs that didn't look down on us like they used to anymore. If David really did kill Ponyboy, we were in big trouble. I don't know why but this whole thing has something to do with Bob.

I voiced my opinions out loud to Madeline.

"If that's true, how come Johnny isn't killed either?"

At that I froze. Johnny, he's in danger too. Marie seemed to be on the same page as I was. My best friend froze with a look of horror on her face. Just then the doorknob rattled.

Marie POV

I was in shock. I was in horror. I didn't know what to do. As if that information wasn't bad enough, the doorknob had to jiggle too. Breaking out of my Stupor I grabbed Angel's wrist and pulled her under the desk with me. At that moment the lights flickered off. It was nearly pitch black if it wasn't for the window on the wall. I was able to make out Angela's dark long locks and the pale skin of her face. I could see her red lips, but I couldn't see her eyes. I was pretty sure they were filled with fear just like how my grey eyes were. I felt the terror creeping up my throat but thankfully Angel put her hand over my mouth. That stopped the scream of terror creeping up my throat, but it didn't stop the little squeak that escaped my lips.

The familiar creek of the rickety door opening alerted me that someone was in the room. The floor boards creaked under the weight. Boots. Black boots stopped in front of the desk. I don't know how I knew, but I'm damn sure this wasn't a police officer.

A shock seemed to radiate through my body. The files, they're on the floor. I knew if one of us didn't get it we were dead anyways. Boots turned to walk the other way. I took my chance and leapt for it was quietly as I could.

"Marie, no!" Angela frantically whispered. It was too late. Then I noticed the footsteps stopped.

Then it happened. A thump on top of the desk was heard. I slid back under the desk. Just in time as a thousand pieces from the chandelier fell on top of the desk. I gasped as I felt the shards hit my skin like hail dancing on my skin. I felt like knives were stabbing me. I withered on the ground trying to protect my head as glass, books, and shelves fell.

"C'mon, we got to get out of here" yelled Angela. As disoriented as I was, I knew we had to get out before we got caught or worse. I didn't know if she noticed, but I'm damn sure that the killer was just in the same room as us and tried to kill us. They know we know and that's why they tried to take us out. It's not just Johnny that's in danger.

"We have to meet them at the lot, come on," she shouted. She grabbed my hand and pulled me from the desk.

Angela POV

Damn Bastard. Tried to kill us. I pulled my best friend out from under the desk. I cussed as I saw little lines of blood running out of her glass wounds. It wasn't serious but it was enough to worry me. I wasn't feeling to hot myself. A book banged my on the head when I tried to get up and a cut is in my hairline. I can't see out of my eye until the damn blood stops gushing over my eye from my hair line. The lights flickered on again.

She frantically scrambled up. A gasp.

A brought my head up. The room was absolutely trashed. It was like a war zone or a tornado in here. But that's not what shocked me. What shocked me was the message on the wall.

YOU'RE GETTING CLOSE. BUT I'M CLOSER BITCHES

"Is that blood or paint Angela?" my best friend told me. She held my arm in fear. I was shaking pretty bad too. I wiped the blood from my eye. "

I don't know, but I don't want to stick around to find out," I retorted. The lights flickered off again.

"C'mon, let's go".

We scrambled across the room trying not to trip as we made a mad dash down to the door. I practically through the door off its hinges. Marie and I didn't stop until we were out of the police station and tearing down the street to the lot in a hurry.

I couldn't shake it off. The murderer was in the same room as me and Madeline. Never in my life have I wanted my brothers so bad before. Tears came into my eyes as Marie and I took off into the night. Our only light sources were the moonlight and a rickety old streetlight.

Hey guys, I liked this chapter very much. I hope you enjoy this. Plus I am going to change Mari's hair color to strawberry blond, so she's not a dirty blond anymore. Two-bit is a red head so she should have some red too. Review and I'll update. Suggestions.
