A young, gothic looking woman clapped as a bat flew clumsily around her head before crashing back down to the dirt floor. With a poof, the bat gave way to a three year old with black hair. "Very good, Pina!" cheered her mother, Lilith.

A young man picked up his child and brushed off her red gingham dress. "Let's watch sissy transform," he cooed to Pina, who he kept in his arms.

Lilith grabbed his arm, and put a finger to her lips. "Ed, we have to be quiet, Laura needs her concentration."

A little blonde haired girl stood up, with her arms out at her sides. Laura did a clumsy jump and fell to the earth. A belly flop in other words. Lilith couldn't help but to laugh. "Good try sweetie," she said, trying to hide her giggle.

Her ego was hurt and Laura kicked her legs, coughing out a cry. She looked up at both her parents. Ed felt bad. With each sob that racked Laura's small body, his heart broke again. Lilith stood her ground. "Try again, Laura," Lilith said, softly.

She grabbed one of her sister's hair bows that had fallen out when she went back to a human and threw it at Ed's legs in a screaming fit. Laura pounded on Lilith's boot top. "Don't smack, mommy," said Ed in a stern voice.

"Daaaaaaaaaddy!" she screamed. "I wanna transforms! It's not fairs!"

Laura saw her little brother and his little toy cars. She stomped over to him and threw a car at her father. Laura wasn't aiming at Ed but Pina. He just shielded her from the flying car. "That does it," growled Ed. Not his hungry, I'm going to kill you growl but his parental growl. Even non vampire parents had a parental growl. "Don't throw anything at Pina or daddy, Laura Belle Lee!"

She dissolved to the ground in a fit of tears. Face down, Laura allowed sobs to rack her small body. "You done?" asked Lilith. "You going to calm down now?"

She kicked her legs but did not raise her tear stained face. "No!"

Ed sat Pina down and picked up Laura who, at first, fought this. "I think it's someone's nap time."
