When they finally touched ground again, Caroline refused to throw up. She could feel her stomach churning but she hadn't had anything to eat for some time. Katherine came out of their travel looking like she had only walked to…the giant castle they now stood in front of. Caroline craned her neck back to get a better look and realized that the entire building was white. On the areas where the sun shone, it was like crisp snow in the winter.

"Where are we?" Caroline directed the question at her companion but did not remove her eyes from the towering structure.

"You asked me who was the other hand in the war," Katherine trailed off as she headed towards the glistening building. Caroline wasn't sure whether it was safe to move forward or not. She glanced around the court yard and noticed many statues and a large fountain. "Don't dawdle little sparrow, I won't be responsible for what happens."

Approaching the front door, Caroline found that there were two men dressed in white armor. They would have blended into the wall behind them if it weren't for their eyes, even their faces were painted white. They stood erect just like the spears at their sides. With a shield in the other hand, both guards stared at Caroline but then acted like she wasn't even there.

"Why didn't we teleport inside the gate?" Caroline whispered through her teeth acting as if she had said nothing at all.

"I would have, but this castle is protected and thus we would have bounced off like pebbles. And probably be crushed to death." Katherine walked right up to a guard and stuck her face in his. When Caroline thought their noses were going to touch, the other guard cleared his throat.

"How many times do we have to throw you out, street cat?" The voice was startling coming from the armor and both girls stood frozen. "Her majesty specifically stated no strays."

"You can tell your queen to say that to my face, the wretched—"

"I brought Cheshire here because I wish to speak with the queen," Caroline diplomatically stepped in front of Katherine, cutting her off before she iterated some foul language that would prove why they shouldn't be let in.

"Why would the queen allow audience with a street mouse?" Both of the guards laughed underneath their breath and Caroline was surprised they had a sense of humor, but was not defeated.

"I have information on Klaus. While I feel the queen would rather be the judge of how important the message is, if you'd like to turn my companion and I away, we can just watch Klaus take your kingdom."

Caroline watched Katherine's jaw slightly drop, but then the girl instantly gained composure. Finally coming to stand next to Caroline as an equal, the teleporter squared her shoulders to return their stares.

The guards looked at each other as if they were silently debating and then turned towards the girls once more. "We will let you through, but we desire a price."

"This information is only for the ears of the queen!"

"Oh, we have other uses for that pretty mouth. My brother and—" before he could finish, the guard's throat closed up and he dropped his spear. Desperately grasping for air he kneeled to the ground as his body spasmed. The other brother stared in horror as he watched his brother die from some unknown force. Caroline went to reach for the man but before she could get to him, they found themselves in a grand throne room. The once dying guard finally took in a full breath of wanted air without even leaving his position. The second guard stood erect looking towards the front of the room though Caroline could see a sweat drop forming on his brow.

"Hector. Hugo. Is this the way we speak to guests of the castle?" The voice came from a young female standing in front of a table covered in maps. She didn't make eye contact with any of them although Caroline could tell that she saw them.

"Your majesty, my brother and I were only trying to keep this filth from your presence."

"I see. So to punish the filth you were going to require a filthy act?" The queen's shoulders stiffened but she still did not look up from her maps.

"My brother and I were only jesting with them, your majesty."

"How funny is it that I had blocked your brother's access of air, without his permission?"

The guard had no response, looking towards the ground in shame. He removed his helmet and knelt beside his brother, but this time he faced the girls.

"I apologize for our distasteful behavior. Please, as long as you stay within the walls of the White Realm, you have our protection." Without waiting for a response, he grabbed his brother by the arm and they both quickly left the room to return to their posts.

"Men," from which followed a slander of curses that came from the queen's mouth that Caroline were in another language. "And don't think I'm done with you, Cheshire. What reason do you have to cause problems at my front door?"

"Well BonBon, I tried to get in the old fashioned way, but I see you put up a welcoming gift for me," Katherine sauntered towards the queen but was stopped short.

"That gift was not just for you, though now that you've unwrapped it, what are you doing here?" The queen turned sharply towards them and finally took recognition of Caroline standing there. "Who is this?"

"My name is Caroline," she thought twice and added, "your majesty. We've come looking for Elijah." As the queen contemplated a moment about her request, Caroline got a better look at her features. The long dress that flowed from her body was stark white with a silver sash around the waist, complimenting her rich skin tone. She chewed at her lip, making her look more human than at first appearance.

"I haven't seen Elijah in a few days. He had visited awhile ago to discuss the edges of the woods that he lives on, trying to keep my soldiers off his land." The Queen turned back to her maps and went still again.

"He's been with me since you saw him last. We were trying to find a way to send me home but then he just disappeared this morning and now I don't know if he's dead and his brother is a serial killer visiting me in my dreams and I'm traveling with this psychopath and I'm surrounded by magical beings but I have no actual powers of my own so now I'm just this weak little girl that is home sick and you almost killed that man which would have been a good idea because he was a fu—"

"Take a breath; you're making me feel exasperated." Katherine grabbed Caroline by the wrist which made her focus on her breathing. Caroline hadn't realized that she had lost so much control until she felt the blood pulsing in her ears.

"What do you mean send you home?" The Queen walked quickly away from her maps, and before Caroline could even blink, pushed Katherine out of the way and grabbed her by the chin. "A human couldn't have crossed through a Wonderland plane on their own,, how did you say that you got here?"

"I followed a white rabbit through a hole." Caroline couldn't say anymore before she was brought to her knees. Although she retained her breath, unlike the guard, she could feel an invisible force pressing on her shoulders.

"You brought a servant of the Red Queen into my home," there was anger in the queen's voice that Caroline could feel through the magic holding her down. She watched as Katherine was lifted from the ground as if the Queen was holding her up by the throat even though they were not touching.

"I've never met the Red Queen," Caroline found it hard to talk, forcing the words to come out, "I was just following a rabbit that could talk, how was I supposed to know I could fit into a hole in the ground?"

The Queen hesitated for a moment, before releasing them both. "There has to be something about you that isn't human."

Caroline stretched her muscles while rising to her feet. "Trust me there is nothing special about Caroline Forbes other than the nightmare I am living right now."

For the first time since they met, the Queen smiled slightly and raised her hand out to Caroline, "Let's start over. My name is Bonnie, I am the White queen."

Taking her hand, Caroline whipped her curls over her shoulder, "What makes you the "white" queen?"

"She tries conquering and taking without shedding blood," Katherine spoke up for the first time since the queen had tried to choke her. "Red isn't really your color anyway, BonBon."

The Queen rolled her eyes, gestured for both the girls to follow her, then added as an afterthought, "Remember whose home you're in Katherine before you say anything you'll regret."

Taking a closer look at the maps before her, Caroline could see that Wonderland was just a large country that the Queen had drawn lines through. The Red Queen's territory was large with Klaus' being almost the same size, according to the map. The sections were almost perfect for each of them to have their own direction: north, east, south and west. The large amount of trees in the west led Caroline to believe the west was the land Elijah wanted to keep private and reserved.

"What do you think of this?" The Queen stood at Caroline's side to watch her study the map.

"I don't understand why there are so many problems. All of the divisions seem even enough, are the Mikaelsons not happy with what they have?"

"Wonderland was once all theirs but their rule was not always optimal. And of course sibling rivalry tore at their family as much as anything else would."

"Why are you interested in more land?"

"I'm not, I'm only concerned with protecting the land that I already have and the people in it. Klaus and Rebekah are constantly trying to invade my land, and while Elijah tries to keep a semblance of peace to the best of his ability, it's not always that easy. I help him control the forest to give him a realm of peace."

"This is all so nice but may I remind both of you that Elijah is missing. If he isn't here and I can't sense him, does anyone have thoughts on where he could be?" Katherine feigned death by boredom by letting her tongue fall out of her mouth and her head roll to one shoulder.

"Is there anything that you're able to do to find Elijah, your majesty?"

"I'm wondering if there is anything you can do to find him," Bonnie bumped her hips against Caroline's and gave her a knowing look.

"Human, just human." Caroline reminded. "What other options do we have?"

"I can try to locate him with my own magic but if Katherine was unable to find him, I don't think I will do any better."

"It's worth a try, if it can find him though." Caroline grabbed her arm hopefully but pulled away just in case she was invading the queen's space more than she should.

"Maybe there is a way to find him other than sensing. Follow me," they moved from the throne room quickly to an outside patio featuring another fountain which was made out of the most beautiful marble Caroline had ever seen. The water was so relaxing as it tumbled over the different obstacles that, for a moment, she forgot some of the troubles that were bothering her, but only for a moment. Bonnie sat on the ledge and waved her hand over the water. Caroline's jaw dropped as she saw images begin to emerge from the water.

"How are you doing that?"

"Her magic is based on the elements, so earth, wind, fire, and water will obviously allow her aid in times of need. It's one of the ways she has gained land and how she helps to preserve Elijah's home." Katherine looked on as if she saw images appearing in water all the time.

"Well then, what is the magical water telling you?"

"Nothing, I can't see Elijah anywhere." Bonnie seemed truly surprised by her lack of ability and stood up from the fountain rejected.

"Seriously? Maybe if you concentrate harder, how do you use the fountain magic exactly?"

"I try to find thoughts that are reflected in the water. I found the two of you here with me because you are thinking about Elijah right now and then a mind that didn't seem quite human is searching for him as well."

"Was it Alexander?"

"Ah, yes that would make sense but other than the three of you no one else is looking for him."

"You said Alexander was looking for him as well? They were both gone this morning so I assumed that they had left together."

"Well you know what assuming does? No wonder they left you."

"Katherine, you are not helping right now. Can we reach out to Alexander the way you would have with Elijah to lead him here?"

Bonnie focused on the water again and this time Caroline could see flashes of Elijah's face but also trees and other scenery flying by. Alexander was definitely looking for Elijah and took to the skies to do so. Then Caroline's face flashed above the water. He must've been searching for her as well because she left that morning with Katherine.

"How do you connect with him?"

"Through the wind."

"Right and how exactly does that work?"

The Queen turned towards the open sky and whispered to the wind. She was actually communicating what she wanted it to find. In that moment, Caroline hoped that maybe she wasn't just human but she knew finding Wonderland was a coincidence. "Did it work?" she asked impatiently.

"Hopefully he should be here anytime now."

"What can you do with fire?"

"I haven't dealt with that element as much because of how destructive it can be, but if the time comes and it's necessary…" she trailed off into her own thoughts and for a moment Caroline felt a sadness and resignation from her.

"Well this has been fun and all but a girl has errands to run."

Caroline turned to Katherine surprised that she was just giving up on Elijah. "Finding Alexander is not finding Elijah, where are you going?"

"I have things to do and you are in capable hands, catch you later, little sparrow." With a conspiring wink, Katherine disappeared and Caroline and Bonnie were left alone.

"She has a way of taking off doesn't she?"

"I've never seen Katherine commit herself to anything for more than a few breaths. The only reason she didn't abandon you at my gate was because of Elijah. She knows eventually she would've been in trouble with me and she'd be trapped on my doorstep.

Before Caroline could respond a gush of wind knocked her about a little and she turned to find Alexander on the Queen's patio.

"You made it!" Caroline wrapped her arms around his neck and he nuzzled into her. Stepping back he bowed to Bonnie and then stared at both of them hopefully. "We don't know where he is either."

Alexander cocked his head and then nipped at Caroline. "Do you know where he is?" He nodded his head up and down and Caroline knew the Queen had helped her find what she really needed. Like a natural she leapt unto his back and straddled him.

"I'll keep an eye on the both of you incase anything happens."

"Thank you for all of your help and I'm sorry for any trouble I may have caused."

"Oh no, you are a surprise in its self and I still think there is more to you than even you know."

Alexander expanded his wings and they were both off into the afternoon sky.
