I don't own anything. Just the storyline.
Kurt's POV
What on earth was I thinking? Cozying up to a zombie, the same zombie that killed and ate Adam. Being away from humans must really be messing with my mind. B was a human at one point, and he's not as disgusting as the other zombies. Ergh!
The word zombie makes me think of awful horror movies, and I'd rather not think about people being violently murdered whist in the company of one. I think suffering souls would be a better description, yes, that's what I'll call them from now on.
Well that is if I hadn't run away. At about 3am I woke up from a disturbing yet beautiful dream, I don't want my brain to go into the details of it because a hard on would not be the best thing right now. But lets just say it involved human B, me, and a lot of lube!
Anyway… back to reality. When I woke up from said dream I knew I had to get away, and fast. Falling in love with a suffering soul would not be the best idea, imagine the gossip if anyone found out!
So I planned to make my escape. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be considering when I got myself out of B's hold and looked around he seemed to be asleep.
Which is insane because, and I'm not a suffering soul specialist, but I'm pretty sure they cannot sleep. More than likely though he felt me get up and decided to just let me go so he wouldn't have to deal with me anymore.
Anyway whatever the reason, I escape and am now speeding down the road to home. With an ache in my chest that I choose to ignore…
Blaines POV
When I wake up, I'm not in a stranger's bed with Kurt in my arms. But a field. Specifically a field that is so big it ends at a horizon in all directions.
That's the first sign that I'm dreaming.
The second is that Kurt, the boy I killed and a girl are here. Which if it was just his memories he wouldn't be here as I'd be seeing the world through his eyes.
"Hey, B, come join us." Kurt shouts gesturing for me to come over. I start walking towards them at a weirdly human pace as Kurt's boyfriend speaks.
"What are you doing here you don't belong here, you don't belong anywhere." He says and I freeze.
"Hey!" Kurt scolds him. "Don't listen to him B, come on, come over here." I continue to walk over but slower than before and sit near them.
"So this is the mystery boy." The girl says.
"There's no mystery to it.. We met in the coffee shop and fell instantly in love."
And there's the third sign I'm dreaming. That's what I wanted to happen, that's the way I wish my life had gone. But instead I'm going to wake from this dream and be a zombie that no one will ever love. I frown looking down at my hands.
"Hey, B, anything can happen if you just believe. Never say never."
And that's when I woke up. What did he mean? Did he know what I was thinking about? Well of course he could've it was my dream after all.
Dream. That's what it was a dream. But how? I can't sleep; I'm not even alive! Maybe Kurt will know, I'll have to ask him when he wakes up.
And that's when I realize. The bed is cold and empty on his side, there's no warm body weighing me down. He left. He just left. After everything he didn't even say goodbye!
I suppose that's all I deserve. No point wallowing about my misfortunes. I should head back incase by some miracle someone realizes I've left.
Kurt's POV
"Hello John" I say as I walk up to the wall.
John is a tall black man that could easily win in a fight due to his bulging muscles, he's one of my dads most trusted soldiers and a dear friend of families. Due to how much he is trusted, his job is to ensure that when people come back through the wall they are 100 per cent human.
"Kurt? Is that you?" John says unbelieving that I've come back, even though it had only been a few days since I had left.
"Yeah, its me." I state tiredly.
"No, what I really mean is you, you?" He says blocking my path to the entrance.
"I'm not a zombie if that's what you're asking." I state bluntly.
"Well I'm going to have to check, you can't be too sure after all."
I sigh as he points the eye indicator at my eye, after a few seconds I sigh and he pulls away.
"Okay, you can go through."
"Thank you." I say politely, he is only doing his job after all.
I can't wait to get into my own bed, have a shower, and put on a clean change of clothes. But of course before any of that happens, an interrogation from my father.
"Kurt, where the hell have you been!" My dad practically shouts at me as he runs up to me and engulfs me in his arms before I can even reach the wall.
"It's a long story dad, can't I tell you once I've eaten, showered and slept for at least 2 days?" I plead.
"I know you're tired kiddo, but its been days since I last saw you, I thought you were... you were-"
"Dead." I cut him off.
"Yes, I was really worried. What took you so long to get back?" He demands. So it looks like he wants to do the interrogation now, I give him my best bitch glare for keeping me from my bed.
"Don't look at me like that, I deserve to know what happened. Mercedes came back alone and said your group was attacked and then a zombie took you with him. So, what happened?" he demands once again.
There's that word again, zombie, I wouldn't call him a zombie he's too perfect, anyway back to reality dad asked me a question.
"Exactly that. He took me back to their lair" I say sarcasm dripping off my tongue.
"He took me to his bus and we hung out, he then said it wasn't safe for me to leave for 3 days but promised to take me home after that. He did just that, and now I'm home safe. What more do you want to know?" I say breathing out heavily.
"Okay, I'll ask you more once you've slept. But don't think ill let you off. Go on Mercedes is in your room waiting for you."
I walk past him and quickly walk back to the house.
Blaine's POV
It seems today is full of miracles. Someone had realized I had left, and not just one someone but many. As I walk along a road on my way back a big group of about 15 zombies are walking towards me.
At first I thought they were angry with me because I helped a human out, well if they could feel angry that is. But as I get closer I see that my zombie best friend, you could say as I can't, at best I could groan out "'e me b fwend."
Anyway he is leading the pack, I think his name begins with an M but that's as far as we've got. We occasionally groan at each other every now and then but nothing as far as personal information is shared.
I keep going off topic, basically a group of15 zombies led by my best friend walk towards me looking strangely happy.
"Waa" I groan out when they get near me.
"Tome-ting is errr happe-pening" M groans out. I just look at him questionably. "We are ch-changing."
So it's not just me, they are changing as well.
"Art beat" I say putting my hand on my chest to help get across my point. They all nod excitedly and put their hands to their chests over their hearts.
"Where is hu-uman?" M asks.
"He left."
"Umans huh." M laughs out, well tries to, it's a bit hard to do a big throaty laugh when all that's been passing through your throat is human flesh, trust me.
"B-Bonies tack us" M says
"Why?" I ask confused.
"Art beat eans uman. They com-ming af-ter us."
"We ave to warn Kurt."
With that we head in the direction of the humans…
