A/N I know, I know. I am dreadful at posting new chapters. But I hope to get back into the swing of things soon. So, I hope you enjoy this chapter and I aim to have another chapter posted within the next week.

I don't own anything. Just the storyline.

Kurt's POV

"Kurt!" Mercedes shouts at me enthusiastically, flinging herself into my arms as soon as I walk into my room.

"Mercedes!" I shout back tiredly as I hug her back gently.

"Where have you been?!" She demands, dragging me over to my bed and sitting me down next to her.

"Long story, can I tell you in the morning after I've had a bath, eaten and slept in my nice warm comfortable bed?" I ask pleadingly.

"Yeah, sure. But we will discuss this in the morning." She says walking out of the room.

The prospect of a hot bath dissipates my need for sleep quickly. With energy I didn't know I had I jumped up from my bed and go straight to my bathroom for a well overdue bath.

I turn the hot water tap on full blast and added a generous amount of bubble bath to the mix. Looking in the mirror I can see that the days away from my normal skin care routine has taken its toll on my skin as it is not the clear porcelain skin I'm used to seeing. As for my hair I almost cry when I see the state it is in.

I strip down, add some cold water to the bath and sink into the water and close my eyes with a sigh. Thoughts of a mysterious zombie clouding my thoughts as I drift into a dreamless sleep.

My eyes snap open and I realize that maybe I was a tired as I thought I was. Jumping out of the freezing cold bath I grab a towel and quickly pull on sweat pants. I crawl under my quilt and fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow.

The second time I am startled awake is because someone is banging on my bedroom door. I close my eyes in hopes that they will take the hint and leave me alone to sleep. No such luck though as the constant banging continues, eventually I give up with trying to get more sleep.

"Who is it?" I shout out tiredly my voice thick with sleep.

"Your dad, can I come in?" he shouts back.

"Yes." I say with a sigh, why cant people just leave me alone?

He opens the door slowly and pokes his head around it before walking over to my bed. He sits at the very end and turns to face me.

"So, are you ready to tell me were you have been?" He asks simply.

"Not really. But okay, if it means you will let me sleep in peace. When we were attacked I hid and stayed there for a few days until I knew it was safe for me to return." I say lying through my teeth. He nods slowly then replies.

"Why do I have a feeling that's not the whole truth?"

"Urmm… because you probably wouldn't believe me if I told you." I state.

"Try me."

"Huh, fine. A zombie kidnapped me took me back to his lair then looked after me until it was safe to bring me back." I say quickly hoping to get this over with as soon as possible so I can get some more sleep.

"Fine, if you're not going to tell the truth I'll leave you to it. But you are not allowed out of this house until you have told me what really happened." He states sternly.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." I breathe out fed up.

He stands and storms out the room slamming the door behind him.

I give up with the idea of sleep. Deciding to take a shower as the bath I had last night wasn't really worthwhile it as I didn't wash my hair or body thoroughly.

After my shower I do an extended version of my normal skin routine, do my hair, get dressed in tight black jeans and a tight grey top, then head to the kitchen to get something to eat.

I should have known Mercedes was there waiting for me.

"Look, we can talk once we've eaten okay." I say with a sigh before she can even open her mouth to speak.

"Okay, but you should know I spoke to your dad, I hope you tell me the truth unlike the lie you told him." She says.

I slam the milk back on the side and turn to face her.

"It wasn't a lie a zombie really did kidnap me as you probably saw, he did take me back to his lair, he did look after me until it was safe to bring me back and he did make me fall in love with him." I shout. Fuck. "I-I mean, and he did bring me back safely."

"Ahhhh! You fell in love with a zombie! Are you crazy?!" She shouts.

"Shhhhhh!"

"Oh my god! Explain." She demands.

"It's a long story and you're going to have to believe me."

Blaine's POV

I send the zombies back to the bus station to prepare for the fight that is to come, whilst M and me walk to the humans zone to try to tell Kurt what has happened. When we are about a mile away from the wall we realize there is no way to get through the gate, and stop at the building that I found Kurt.

"Hat now?" M asks.

I shrug then remember what Kurt told me countless times.

"Dunno." I say exasperated.

Looking around, I notice movement in the distance and grab M's arm to drag him around the corner of the building out of view.

Two male teenagers about 16 years old in hoodies and dark jeans walk around the corner. Human teenagers. Humans. There is no way that they have walked through the gate because only groups are allowed through the gate.

That must mean there is a different way of getting into the human zone without getting permission and going through checks to ensure you are human.

I quickly realize that the only way I will find it is if I wait until they come back and follow them.

"Go- go tell the others. Th-at I got to Kurt. T-tell them to c-come here." I stutter.

M nods then turns and shuffles the way that we came, its obvious to me that I am more healed than everyone else as I can walk and speak clearer than any other zombie. That's probably because I fell in love though. Shit. That's the first time I admitted it to myself. But yeah, I love him. I love Kurt, and I will do everything in my power to get him back.

Kurts POV

After a very long explanation I'm not surprised to see that Mercedes is speechless. After a few minutes of sitting in silence she finally speaks.

"You really do love him don't you." she says but I can tell that its not a question, she knows.

"I- I don't know I think I do, but its not like I have a lot of experience in love."

"What do you mean? I thought you loved Adam?" she asks confused.

"As bad as it sounds, I don't think I did. I think it was more of the fact that he was there; with him I didn't feel so alone anymore. But I don't think I saw him as more than a very close friend. He loved me, or at least he told me he did but I just knew that something was missing. And I guess I know what that something, or rather someone was." I say looking down at my hands. After what feels like an eternity of silence I feel her wrap her arms around my body, I collapse into her arms and sob uncontrollably.

"Oh, Kurt." I hear her whisper into my hair as she runs her hands through it. "It'll be okay."

"H-how c-can it b-be thou-ough?" I cry out.

"I don't know but I'm sure everything will be okay."

"I ran, there is no way he will ever forgive me." I say eventually when my sobs turn into sniffles.

"Seriously? That's what you are worried about? Not the fact that he is a zombie and eats humans. You're very strange, did you know that? You're lucky I love you." She says jokingly. I can't help but chuckle at that which ends with a sigh at how messed up my life is.

"Maybe I should give up with love. I mean the only boyfriend I've ever had I didn't love and the guy I fall in love with eats my only boyfriend."

"It was B?!" She shouts shocked.

"Ah, shit I guess I forgot to mention that."

"Yeah, you did. How could you forgive him?"

"I love him Cedes." I say as though it's the most obvious thing in the world.

Blaine's POV

After a very long time the teens come back, they look exactly the same as before and are not carrying anything so I can only wonder what they have been up to.

When they get far enough away I follow behind silently keeping a good distance so that they do not notice me.

They walk for about 4 blocks before they pull a bit of wood that is across a door on a tatty old building and step through. I wait a few minutes before walking carefully through.

Lucky enough being a zombie gives me an acute sense of smell for humans so it is easy to follow their trail through the building.

When this zone was full of humans this was probably a busy office block, going by the many desks and chairs and computers that have been left behind. But it is clear that wildlife and nature have taken over, trees are growing through the cracks in the walls and the sound of scurrying rodents can be heard throughout the building.

The human trail leads to double doors at the back of the room and into a basement, which is pitch black except for a slight line of light on the other side of the room.

That must have been the way they went as it seems to be the only exit.

Walking up to the light I see that it is another bit of wood acting as a door, I push it aside slowly and peer around it to see another buildings basement that is deserted also but is clearly on the human zone as nature and wildlife is not yet present.

The double doors are open at the top of the stairs so there is enough light to see where I am walking.

I ascend the stairs slowly and walk into another office building and straight out onto a busy street. I duck my head down and walk as briskly as I can to an alleyway that is out of sunlight, to stay until the sun goes down and it is safe to escape to Kurt's house without being seen.
