This is another deleted scene. Just a victim of the ever shifting plotline. It belongs a little further down the road, but there isn't really any danger of spoilers now.
Laughing and jostling, the soldiers circled the wagon. Michelangelo bowed his head, letting the hood of his cloak obscure his face. Renet pulled the wagon to a halt and spoke softly to the nervous horses.
The circle parted to allow someone through. Mikey tightened his grip on his walking stick. Hun strode forward, leering at Renet.
"Are you alright, Miss?" he asked, his voice oozing with sticky attempts at charm, "It's a bit late for a young lady to be out on these roads with just an old man to protect her."
Renet glared right back at him, refusing to flinch at his insinuations. "I'm pretty sure we'll be all right." She growled, moving to urge the horses on and force the circle to part: Hun caught hold of the halter, keeping her from doing so.
"Are you sure? There are bad things in these woods at night…" he pointed out.
Renet sneered at him, "Yeah. And I'm one of them."
In a brief second, Hun's entire countenance changed. He dropped the halter, taking an unconscious step back, eyes wide with something looked very much like fear. Renet flicked the reins and the wagon rolled forward before he could react.
Only when the soldiers were out of sight did Mikey relax. Renet, however seemed even more tense.
The next chapter of Brother Quest will be coming soon. :)
