Hi all. So very glad my first Lassiet story got two reviews. It inspired me to do another shot. It's another friendship story because I love Shules. Also my first one was more Carlton's in love with her but he knows he can't have her so he'll be her hero instead. I think he sees her as his baby sister.
Anyways this is a tag on to the first episode of season six. Can't remember title and I'm too lazy to look it up. I think that was episode Lassie confronts Shawn and Juliet about their relationship. This is what I think happened after.
Carlton gave Shawn a very twisted smile when the man looked up. "Yeah, that's right Spencer" he said.
"Yeah…well…uh…I better go…" Shawn stammered and stood up. "I'll be watching you Spencer, never forget that I'll always be watching you" Carlton answered.
"Will do Lassie…uh…thanks" Shawn stammered and hurried out of the interrogation room. He didn't miss Lassie's twisted laugh that went perfectly with his twisted smile.
Shawn ran to Juliet and she hugged him when she saw how shaken up he was. "Are you okay Shawn? Carlton didn't hurt you did he?" she asked and Shawn shook his head.
"He hooked himself up to the lie detector and then he told me if I ever hurt you he'd shoot me….repeatedly" Shawn answered.
"I'm sure he was just…" Juliet started and Shawn groaned. "No Jules, the detector told me he wasn't lying" he interrupted.
She squeezed his hand fondly. "Don't worry Shawn" she said sweetly and Shawn nodded. He then smirked and put on a brave face. "Of course I'm not worried Jules, Lassie…he's a pussy cat…a big old pussy cat" he said.
"Oh really?"
Shawn jumped as he felt Lassie's hot breath on his ear. "I really have to go now…see you later Jules!" he said and ran off.
Carlton gave an amused chuckle. "Glad to see I can intimidate anyone" he said.
"So it was an act then?" Juliet asked. Carlton looked at her and she gave a long sigh. "Who am I kidding? Of course it was an act. You hate Shawn and just love to hurt him" she added.
She turned away from him and sat at her desk. He surprised her by following and sitting on her desk. "It wasn't an act O'Hara" Carlton said and she looked at him in surprise.
"Really? Because I could have sworn you acted like a jerk and tried to get a new partner"
Carlton gave his own sigh. "All right, I'm sorry for being childish. I actually am glad the chief didn't give in to me" he told her.
"Really?" Juliet asked and he gave a small nod. "I just was really angry and hurt you kept this from me O'Hara" he said.
"I know and I'm sorry" she said. She then raised a finger before he could speak. "But can you please for once act like were friends Carlton? If you want me to be honest with you then you have to treat me like we're not just coworkers because I was never going to let my personal life affect my job" she added.
"How would you like me to do that exactly?" Carlton asked.
"You could start by calling me Juliet instead of O'Hara when we're not on a case" she said.
"Fine…" Carlton said and stood up. He took a couple steps then stopped and turned back around.
"I meant what I said to your boyfriend Juliet and not just because I don't really like Spencer" he said.
Juliet gave a small smile at that. "Thanks Carlton" she said and he gave her another nod before sitting at his desk.
Soon she went to leave and he gave her a small smile. "See you tomorrow Juliet" he called and she nodded.
"See you tomorrow Carlton and…well…thanks for being my protector" she said and walked out.
"Anytime Juliet" Carlton whispered as she left.
