A/N: Here it is the epilogue. I hope you all like it. I actually really enjoyed writing this story, it was all light and fluffy which is totally out of character for me. I am grateful to all of you who have review and I truly appreciate it. You guys are AMAZING! I thought I would be done with this story after this but like I said I had fun, so let me know if you'd like a series of short stories exploring the Valentine's universe. Thanks again. Disclaimer: I do not own Glee or any of its characters. Glee belongs to its creators and FOX.
"No it needs to be bigger."
"I want blue."
"No it should be pink."
" Puple, puple".
I could hear four little voices arguing as I trudged in the door and placed down my suitcase. I made my way down the hall towards the playroom and peeked through the crack in between the door and door frame. My eyes spied two blondes and two brunettes sitting in a small group. Kaylyn was sat in the middle cutting out what looked to be a giant purple heart. She was turning seven tomorrow and I couldn't believe it. Her hair was a long honey blonde now, about Quinn's and Beth's shade and I hoped it wouldn't get any darker. Her eyes had changed from baby blue to a Fabray shade but not Quinn's no they were a pure green like Judy and Franny. Sitting next to her, well nearly on her lap was my youngest Aiden Luis he was two years old and a male version of me with his dark brown nearly black hair and dark chocolate eyes and tan skin. With their back to me were my two middle children Tyler Carlos and Lucas Christopher. They were 5 and 3 respectively and would be mistaken for twins if it wasn't for their difference in size and hair color. Both had olive skin and bright blue eyes but Tyler had light brown hair and Lucas's was white blonde.
"Holla mi ninos". I greeted them as I came into the room. Kaylyn shoved the art project behind her as the three boys ran towards me. "Mami" was shrieked into my ears as I was tackled by three little linebackers. I laughed and kissed each on the forehead. "How was the trip?" Kaylyn asked as she reached me and we hugged. "Long and I missed you all so much." I had been elected Senator of the State of New York last year and though I loved my new job I missed my family so much. At the time I was elected Quinn was the head foreign correspondent for NBC so her home base was New York City. Luckily that would all be changing soon. Quinn had just heard she was been granted her transfer request and would now be a White House Correspondent. I couldn't wait for the whole family to move to D.C. with me and I wouldn't have to spend weeks away from my beautiful family especially since things would be changing soon.
"Where is your Mama?" I asked Kaylyn as I noticed that Quinn wasn't in the playroom with the kids as she normally would be.
"She fell asleep in the great room." Kaylyn giggled, "But don't worry I'm taking good care of the boys."
"I don't need to be taken care of." Tyler yelled.
"Me not too." Echoed Tyler with Lucas nodding next to him, God they were such boys.
"Thank you." I glanced over to the ill hidden paper heart. "What are you making?"
"Nothing, a surprise." Kaylyn smiled. I decided to go along with her, it was clear they were making a Valentine's for Quinn or me, maybe both of us. "Okay well be careful and if you need help come ask okay?"
"Okay." I left my children conspiring in their playroom and moved down the hall slightly to the great room that held our den, dining room and continue open concept to the kitchen. Moving towards the couch I could see Quinn's blonde hair falling over the edge of the couch. Quietly I moved around the couch and sat beside her. She still looked as beautiful as ever, actually even more so; her thirties had brought a maturity and elegance to Quinn's features. "Quinn, sweetheart." I called bushing her bangs from her eyes as her hazel flickered open at me.
"San?"
"Hey."
"Oh gosh the kids." She tried to sit up but I pushed her back down. "They are fine and in the play room."
"Okay." She smiled at me and leaned up, I met her and felt her warm lips press to mine; I'd never get tired of them of her. We broke apart but I stayed closes leaning into the back of the couch as I hovered above her. "I missed you, how were the kids?"
"Good. Busy but good. I will be so glad when they are all in school." She laughed and I knew she wasn't being serious.
"Well that will be awhile." I stated as my hand slid down to her stomach which was swollen with five months of pregnancy. "I'm sorry I couldn't make your appointment." This was the first time that I had missed one of Quinn's doctor's appointments and I felt horrible. Quinn had missed one when I was pregnant with Tyler and two with Aiden but she'd been on assignment across the world not just a few hours south. "How'd it go?" I still couldn't believe we were going to have our fifth child. We both wanted a large family and we'd gotten broody for a baby again while I was campaigning. This time was different though. With our other four we'd just used a donor and took our chances with the "old fashioned" way; this time though we knew it would be our last so we opted for invitro and had both our eggs fertilized. We wouldn't know who the biological mother was this time was and I really like that idea.
"Well…" Quinn reached out to the table grabbed a photograph I hadn't noticed earlier. She handed me the sonogram and my jaw dropped. I stared at it in shock and looked back at Quinn who was biting her lip gently. "Is that… are we…" I couldn't even finish the sentence. Quinn sat up and pointed to the picture, "Apparently she was hiding behind her brother until now." My heart jumped as the words processed in my mind. "Twins?" Quinn nodded laughing gently, "A boy and a girl."
I burst into laughter, it may not be Valentine's Day, that was technically tomorrow but it was close enough, definitely close enough as I gazed onto the first picture of my two newest babies my little Isabella Grace and Gabriel Evan who would join us in just four months time.
I really did love Valentine's Day.
