I feel bad mainly because I should be typing more and more on this story but I get so distracting playing Fire Emblem I just can't. I would like to apologize not only for the short chapters and long time updates. I really love this story and I would love to type on this story more but FIRE EMBLEM IS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE! I am so, so, so, so, so, so SORRY!
Plus a lot of OTHER distracting things. I just can't type…
Also, I am weary about writing smut. I mean I suppose I am good at it, but I don't want to write it and no one want to read it and hate it. So if you want Smut, tell me. If not then I will continue to write pointless fluffy drabbles that are pointless but still very cute.
Well ENJOY and I AM SO SORRY FOR THE LATE UPDATE!

Prompt: Injured
Pairing: Caboose/Wash

It was just another ordinary day for the Red and Blue teams. Well at least, as normal it was going to get with their fucked up situation. It was Thursday, and time for their weekly fights. No one was quite sure why the still fought the weekly fights. It was obvious who would be victorious in the end and who would go home with yet another shameful lose. Despite this, they still fought.
"Wash! I don't want to fight the Reds today. I am tired!" Caboose told his lover as he followed the ex-Freelancer around the base being as irritating as ever. Yet Wash was a patient person only with Caboose. Ever since they had gotten together, Wash knew he would have to take his temper down to be able to handle Caboose on a daily basis. Honestly it wasn't that bad. There was something about Caboose that made it easy to be himself and not totally flip out from being annoyed. Like today for example, seeing that Caboose was bent on irritating him until their weekly fight was canceled. Wash was not quite sure why either. Normally Caboose wouldn't mind the fights, even going so far to actually help out. Tucker had to make sure he stayed out of the tank however so that no one on Blue Team would die.
"Why though Caboose? You know we can't skip out on the fights all the time. These fights are the only thing entertaining everyone here. Besides, we had to forfeit last week because of my minor energy. Sarge would never let us miss out on two fights in a row." Wash tried to reason with Caboose and the blue soldier knew that Wash had a valid point. However he just wasn't feeling up to it today.
"I know Washingtub but today is not a fighting today. Today feels more like a happy day. We could color and have lots of fun, but not fight. Maybe tomorrow. Tomorrow is a better fight day." Caboose told his lover and Wash smiled at Caboose's innocence. Personally he didn't want to fight either but they had to redeem their forfeit or have to hear about it from Sarge for another full week.
"Caboose I understand. Really I do. If you can convince to Sarge to wait until tomorrow then that's fine. Other than that, we will have to go and fight tomorrow. You could stay here if you like though. Me and Tucker can handle the Reds." Wash offered and Caboose did just that. He went over to Red base in hopes of convincing Sarge to do as he please. However, the Sergeant laughed and declared they fought that day. So Caboose decided to prepare himself like normal. Although Wash had told him he could stay back, Caboose never would. He didn't trust Tucker to protect Wash in battle. That was his job.
In a hour or so both sides were ready to commence with the battle. Just like that they were having their weekly shot off. It was going good, normal for both ends. On Red Team Simmons and Sarge were actually trying while Grif just watched. It was like that on Blue Team as well. Wash was shooting but neither Caboose nor Tucker wanted to try. Eventually Sarge had told Grif to fight or get lost. In return Grif decided to actually take a shot and managed to hit Caboose in the arm. Because he had hit the space between the main armor, the bullet actually pierced his skin. From there Wash had called off the fight with concern. He claimed he would kill the Reds if they didn't retreat. The Reds, seeing a pattern in their behavior toward another, left without no trouble. Even Tucker got lost as Wash took Caboose to the base to patch him up.
"I'm sorry Caboose. I should have listened. You wouldn't have gotten hurt if it wasn't for me. I'm sorry." Wash apologized several times while he patched the injury up. The bullet had been taken out with Caboose surprisingly calm. Now all Wash had left to do was bandage it up and inform Caboose to be careful for the next couple of days so that he doesn't hurt himself. The bullet had hit his lower arm so he wouldn't be too restricted on what he could do. Once that was taken care of, Caboose watched as Wash continued to fuss over it.
"I'm fine Wash. It doesn't hurt that bad. Promise! Besides, it was my turn to take the injury. I would rather it be me than you." Caboose told Wash but the ex-Freelancer didn't want to hear it. Because of him not listening his lover had gotten hurt and now Wash knew he would have to take care of Caboose to make sure he got better properly. Not that Caboose would mind having his own personal nurse until he got better.
