I looked in the mirror for the first time in two days and flinched, my face was a mass of bruises, small cuts and the old exhausted look I normally wore for a few days after missions; I closed my eyes and headed for the shower as I heard raised voices from downstairs.

'What the hell are you doing on the island?'

'What do you mean you were tracing a lead on WoFat?'

'She was fucking tortured because of something you have kept hidden for twenty years!'

'I know she is angry, I was too after he tortured me two years ago!'

'You both lied to me, AGAIN!'

Kono, Chin and Danny had decided to go grab all the beers in the fridge and head outside to the beach, they really didn't want to watch the evisceration that was about to happen in the living room; to save face they grabbed the BBQ bucket from the side of the house and started collecting the driftwood. Kono sparked up the fire and Chin handed everyone a beer as they made themselves comfortable on the sand and tried not to listen in on the massive argument coming from inside the house. Each of them flinched several times as they heard the shouting and snippets of arguments being dragged up, none of them wanted to be there.

"This is soul destroying, I'm sorry but I agree with Sadie on this one – Doris has seriously fucked up her chances here and she is doing nothing but bringing problems to Steve's life!" Kono whispered as they all flinched at the man yelling in the house.

"It's not our place to judge cuz, we don't have all the details on what is going on – all we know is that Doris was apparently in danger and she had to fake her death all those years ago – WoFat is after her for some reason and he will use everyone close to the McGarrett's to get what he wants." Chin chipped in.

Danno was looking into the horizon not saying much, both of the cousins looked at each other and called on him gently, he turned around eventually and stood up, hurling his bottle of beer at the nearest heavy tree and storming back into the house. Both Kono and Chin looked at each other and then ran in after Danny, who had stormed right past the other three people and headed upstairs to the bedroom; I had thankfully gotten changed into fresh clothes and was just pulling on my boots again when the door opened and Danno walked in. He looked pissed as hell and I sighed as he began pacing back and forth in the room and refused all attempts of Chin and Kono to come back outside.

"Danny, talk to me, what's going on in that head of yours?" I whispered.

He looked at me and ran his hands through his hair as he blew out steam, I could sense what was bothering him and I knew he was feeling the same way about Doris as I was.

"You hate her too huh, glad to see I am not the only one at the moment!" I whispered.

"I physically feel sick at seeing her in the house, and that is not something I know how to handle – it's not in my personality to hate someone as much as her! She lied to Steve and his family, faked her death, WoFat tortured him about her and then nearly gets us all killed. He disappears for two years and then the day my daughter becomes ill, he kidnaps you and tortures you about information she has on him – you kept quiet for god knows how long, getting god knows what done to you and then he lets you go!" he hisses.

"Pretty much," I replied simply.

"Why the hell did he let you go, his normal MO is to kill loose ends – why did he let you go and report back everything to Steve – he knew Steve would unleash hell!"

"I don't know WoFat's history that well Danno, I figured things out from past cases and what I found on the hard drive Steve has in the office, that was my first meeting with WoFat and he has an elemental hatred of the McGarrett family."

He looks at me and see's that I am sitting on the bed with the evidence of torture across my face and body and I am calming him down without a second thought about my own health and that I should be resting due to the concussion. He stops in front of me and then joins me on the bed; I'm playing with my hairband and trying to get the room to stop spinning since my head is throbbing.

"Joe thinks there is a mole inside JSOC, is that the conclusion you have arrived at?"

"Yeah, only possible reasoning – with the level of interest on WoFat from the military and civilian authorities there is no way he would be able to get back onto the island without some serious clout and support. Three SEAL teams have just arrived back at Pearl from training abroad, two to Indonesia and another in Europe – my guess is that he snuck in with them or was helped through the channels since the teams would have gone in military transport." I replied.

We sat there in silence for a little while and listened to the argument happening downstairs, it was heart breaking hearing the three of them yell at each other, they needed to get it out of their systems though before shit hit the fan and someone was hurt. I managed to get off the bed and pulled on a light jacket as I made my way to the balcony that leads to the back garden; Danno stood up and follow me out, pulling on my arm as I climb the ledge and get ready to drop to the ground below.

"Are you insane, where the hell are you going?" he shouts.

"I need to find someone who can get me information on how WoFat came onto the island, I should be back in a couple of hours," I replied dropping to the ground below.

I landed on my feet and bounced up from the sand and made my way along the side of the house to where my car was, thankfully it was pretty silent as it started up and I was reversing down the driveway before I saw Danno coming down the stairs.

Joe, Doris and Steve where busy yelling at each other about what the hell had gone down over the last couple of days when Danny came running down the stairs, Steve looked up in alarm as he was shouted on and Danno ran out the house; Steve followed him and saw me drive along the road and turn the corner out of their view. He looked at Danno and yelled in frustration, Joe and Doris came out the house and looked on in concern and wonder.

"What's going on son, what's happened?" Joe demanded.

"Sadie has just gone on a solo quest to find her contact, something about information on WoFat she thinks they may have," Danny replied.

Steve turned to Doris and Joe and headed back into the house as he dialled his cell phone, he grew more frustrated as the call went straight to my answer machine and he swore under his breath as he clipped on his badge and sidearm. Chin and Kono had come back into the house and had been caught up by Danny as he stared at Doris who was smirking.

"Seems her mental status hasn't improved since the last time, why the hell do you put up with her when she is obviously beyond help?"

Steve snapped. He litterly snapped at the spiteful words his so called mother just spoke.

"You can go crawl back to whatever hell hole you came from and never contact any of us again – GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!" he demanded.

Steve stormed out of the house with Danno in close pursuit, they both took their separate cars and shouted that they would meet up at the HQ in twenty minutes; Kono and Chin moved in close pattern and headed to their vehicle and hit the highway moments later.
