Okay good news and bad news. Actually it's the same news but can be good or bad in some situations. The good/bad news is that I am flying through these drabbles. It is good because that means that more and more drabbles are to be expected in the near future and I will be able to finish my quota on time. Woohoo! The bad news about it however is that since they are flying out of my head that means they are most likely shorter and dumber than I want them to be…

However I have been getting better at making them better and longer and more meaningful. At least in my opinion they are. Anyway Review and Enjoy! Also my Birthday is coming up! I'm going to be sixteen on the 20th! Excited!

Ahem…my bad, Enjoy. Review. Goodbye.

Prompt: Moon

Pairing: Caboose/Wash

!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!

Being a Freelancer meant that Wash got to go anywhere and everywhere. He had been in space on the Mother of Invention almost everyday of his life. When Wash was on missions, he got to see new things and enjoy the old things all the same. The one thing that Wash loved the most that he could admire as much as he really wanted to, was the moon.

Ever since childhood Wash had always been interested in the moon and the stars. His dad wanted him to follow in his own footsteps, grow up and join the army and that's what he had done. Wash knew that it meant he wouldn't be able to sit back and enjoy the moon as much as he wanted to. He was always to busy to do as such.

Even in the Mother of Invention when he was in space, Wash never got to admire the moon like he would want to because he was always so busy. Especially on missions. Wash never had time to watch the moon and stars like he did when he was a child growing up in Oregon. His father never wanted him to relax and enjoy nature. Therefore Wash hardly ever got to see his beloved universe.

Caboose on the other hand had the exact opposite problem. Growing up in a colony on the moon meant he always got to see the surrounding stars that seemed so close but never was. Caboose liked it all, but craved Earth. Much like Wash craved space.

For the first time in a long time, Wash was finally able to relax and look back up at the night sky to enjoy the moon. Even though it wasn't Earth's moon. Either way it was what Wash loved to do the most and planned to do just that. The valley seemed closed in but really, if Wash laid out on the top of the base just right he could see the whole night sky and it was amazing.

So that night when Caboose had fallen asleep Wash snuck out of the Base. He didn't mind that it was cold outside and all he had on was his night clothes. Wash laid out on the Base and felt at piece as he looked up at the plants moon and 'nearby' stars. Wash sighed at the breath taking sight and smiled at it. Wash found comfort in the sight above him.

Wash had been sitting out there for almost two hours before Caboose had woken up to find Wash wasn't there with him. Caboose, slightly worried when to look for him. After checking inside the Base, Caboose grabbed a blanket to wrap around himself before he checked outside of the Base. Eventually Caboose was lead to the top of the Base where Wash was, lazing on his back. Caboose sighed in relief and approached his lover quietly.

"Wash. What are you doing out here? Are you trying to get sick?" Caboose asked as he settled on the Base roof along with Wash. Caboose laid out next to him and opened his arms for Wash to settle into. Almost immediately Wash found comfort in Caboose's warm arms. Caboose then wrapped the two of them up in the blanket to attempt to keep them warm.

"Wash you're so cold." Caboose pointed out and Wash hummed in response. Wash was still admiring the look overhead and didn't want to fall asleep soon. However he knew it was inevitable because he was now in Caboose's arms and the tiredness was starting to set in. Caboose had asked him why he was outside, so Wash figured he would answer him.

"I came out here to look up at the moon and stars. It's not the same as it was when I was younger but then again, I was on Earth looking up at Earths moon." Wash said and Caboose smiled. Every time someone talked about the moon Caboose felt pride swell in him to know that he was from the moon.

"I like the Moon too. I miss it sometimes but I have you here now. I don't need the moon no more." Caboose told Wash who nodded absently. Wash didn't need to moon either. Caboose was all he needed to remind him of his childhood love. Although going and looking at the night sky with Caboose was always nice.

"I feel like now, I feel like when I was younger, I would always love to look up at the Moon. I felt like there was something there for me. Maybe I was looking up there for you. Maybe I knew back then I needed you in my life." Wash said quietly. Wash had his head tucked under Caboose's jaw and over the taller soldiers chest. The ex-Freelancer enjoyed the song Caboose's heart was playing him. It was like lullaby.

"Go to sleep Wash. I will hold you here tonight. I won't let anything happen to you." Caboose promised and Wash nodded lightly, dozing to sleep. Wash fell asleep admiring the moon, while holding a little piece of their own moon in his arms.

!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!

If you guys are bad at deduction and suck at life, Caboose was the piece of their own moon. I feel like they are both horribly out of character. I feel like I can't care that much though. I almost died from all of the fluffiness in this. I might explode…

I asked a while ago a question I never got an answer to. So I decided to make it a Poll Question on my forum. If you want a say in what I do and you want to vote about having a lemon scene for the Christmas special, then go to my profile. If you have any questions or concerns hit me up.

Anyway! Review~ Thanks again for the reads.
