I finally hit the Camping one. This was the one that I was looking forward to. I had this idea in my head for a long time now and I knew it had to be a drabble, I just didn't know how to write it until now. Now that I am here, I am more than excited to get on with it for all of you. I really am.
Since I am so excited I will skip out on all of the formatives to get on to all of the good stuff! The story!
Note! Grif and Simmons are a couple in this, also Caboose and Wash will be overly lovey-dovey for a reason! So if they seem totally OOC, don't freak out, it is all for a reason!
Enjoy! Review!

Prompt: Camping
Pairing: Caboose/Wash

Despite being almost freezing outside, literally, Caboose wanted to get out and enjoy the wilderness. The warmer months were much to hot to go out and camp like Caboose wanted to, so he decided for the winter months. Mainly because he was hot blooded and couldn't hardly stand the heat. However Wash was almost the exact opposite and preferred not to go out during the cold. So convincing Wash to go camping with him in the middle of winter would be hard.
"Wash please! I will keep you warm you know that! Besides Tucker said he would actually go if you agree. Please?" Caboose pleaded, he had bothered Wash in the middle of cleaning and should have known better. Wash didn't like being interrupted when cleaning afterall. Wash just sighed heavily, he didn't want to deny Caboose camping, but at the same time he felt he could not possibly go in all of the cold. Caboose was just being crazy.
"Caboose it is way to cold to go camping! Besides, we are in a valley. There is no woods to camp in. If we did camp we would have to in the middle of the valley. That would leave us open to the Reds. It's too dangerous." Wash piled his reasons for saying no on to each other. He really didn't want to, but if Caboose kept giving him the pleading look that he was, Wash knew he would agree.
"So! Maybe the Reds can come camp with us! I will protect you anyway. Please Wash. I love you…" Caboose said with a pout, hoping to convince Wash to see things his way and just agree already. Wash sighed yet again and set down the broom. He really didn't want to say yes. He really wanted to stay in the warm base rather then going outside. He really didn't want to say yes.
"…Okay. Only if you promise…Promise to keep…me warm." Wash said with hesitation and a blush on his face. Caboose immediately perked up and thanked his lover more than a few times before heading out and getting things ready. They had enough extra things around to forge the perfect tent for them to sleep in. Caboose made extra sure to get an old blanket for Wash to sleep on.
After taking off Caboose told Tucker that Wash had actually accepted the idea of camping. Tucker was surprised, he had thought that Wash would never agree to go camping in the cold. Not even for Caboose. However that had not been the case and Tucker was now helping Caboose pack up the tent and blankets. Tucker carried all of that out to where they would be camping while Caboose searched around for some wood for a camp fire. It had not snowed in two days, but it was still too cloudy to be sure it wouldn't. Tucker just hoped it didn't snow that night so they could try to create some warmth for the night.
"I found some wood!" Caboose said as he piled the wood in a stack. He had laid it in front of Tucker, who was still trying to put there makeshift tent. He was having some trouble but with Caboose's help he had it set in not time. Caboose moved to the inside of the tent to lay out the blanket for all of them to lay on, before making their beds. Each bed had two pillows(Wash used Caboose as a pillow more anyway) and three blankets to insure their warmth.
"Dirty Blues! What are you doing out here?" Both Tucker and Caboose heard the all to familiar voice of Sarge ringing though the air. The two Blue soldiers stopped their preparation to talk to Sarge who was approaching them.
"We are going to camp Mr. Sergeant! Would you like to join us?" Caboose asked nicely. Sarge huffed and rolled his eyes. Why would anyone in their right mind want to go out and camp in the middle of winter? Then again, it was Blue team and they have never been that smart. Then again, they were bold. Camping in the cold took guts. Guts that the Blues had and the Reds didn't. Sarge growled.
"Of course Blues! Don't think you are any better than Red team! We will prove you wrong and camp out in the cold! Grif! Simmons! We are going camping!" Sarge declared as he made his way back to his own base. Caboose and Tucker could hear the obscenities being yelled in response from Grif and Simmons, both not happy about the decision. Caboose and Tucker laughed before heading back to their Base.
"Wash! Everything is ready!" Caboose called to his lover as he entered the warm base. Immediately the smell of delicious food hit his face. Wash had apparently cooked something while they were setting everything up. Wash insisted they had a nice warm meal before heading out to the campsite. Neither Caboose nor Tucker complained as they enjoyed the meal. Wash made sure that Vant was fed, before the headed out.
When they arrived at campsite, there was Red team setting up their own tent next to Blue teams. Simmons was setting everything up as Grif pretended to help and Sarge screamed at the both of them to hurry up.
"Hey Sarge." Wash said with a slight shiver to his voice as the cold settled in. The ex-Freelance could not believe that Caboose had persuaded him to do this. Wash was regretting now that he was much colder than he wanted to be. Seeing this, Caboose took his lover into his arms and attempted to warm him up. Tucker began to work on starting the fire. It took longer than he had wanted it to, but it was up and that was all that mattered.
Caboose had set up two long logs across from the tents all while facing the fire. Caboose and Wash sat down, Caboose still holding onto Wash in hopes of warming up his cold lover. Tucker joined and put his hands up to the fire to warm them up. Sarge sat down but still watched over Simmons. Grif had admittedly given up and went to sit with Sarge. After Simmons was done with the tent, he went to sit next to Grif.
They had sat like that and just talked for a couple of hours. The sun was long gone and the temperature was dropping. Caboose told Wash to accompany him to bed, saying it was too cold for Wash to stay outside any longer and that it would be better if Caboose could warm him up in the tent. Tucker gagged slightly, knowing he would have to sleep in the same tent as them and felt he couldn't handle the fluffiness. After awhile Grif and Simmons also went to bed.
"So, how are Caboose and Wash doing?" Sarge asked after a minute of a slightly awkward silence. Tucker looked up from the entrancing flames to look at Sarge. Tucker sighed.
"They're good I suppose. Decided to take their relationship slow and make it mean something. Two haven't even banged yet. Surprising right?" Tucker said and relaxed on the log. He was never shy about talking about sex. Tucker had figured that Caboose and Wash would have at least had sex by now, but no. Sarge grunted.
"No not really. Probably for the best anyway. At least they ain't like Grif and Simmons. All they ever do is fuck. Like jack rabbits." Sarge told him with a pasty anger. Tucker's eyes widen at the information. He had not know that Grif and Simmons had gotten together. About time at least, they were like an old married couple and needed each other.
"Wow, about time they got together. I feel sorry for you. If they are anything like Caboose and Wash they are really lovey-dovey. You were right about it being good about them taking their relationship slow. All they ever do when I am around is tell each other their love for each other and that they want to be together forever. It's kind of annoying." Tucker told him and Sarge shook his head.
"Grif and Simmons don't act like that. Or at least not around me. What they do is that they bang then be all sweet to each other. Any other time, same old-same old." Sarge told him and Tucker nodded. He wasn't sure how it turned into this, but somehow he was having a meaningful conversation with Sarge. The Red team leader then smiled and motioned for Tucker to be quite. Sure enough there was a distinct moaning sound coming for the Red tent.
"Really? Right now that's nasty!" Tucker said as he got some clear visuals in his head from what he heard coming from the tent. It was sick really. Sarge just laughed, being used to this, he wasn't bothered by it. Tucker was a totally different story. Tucker then stood from the log and motioned for Sarge to follow quietly. They stopped in front of the Blue tent, trying to listen in to Caboose and Wash's conversation.
"Caboose…I'm still so cold…" Wash said as he shivered and attempted to move even closer to his lover, even though he was already in his arms. Caboose tried and wrapped Wash further in his arms. Wash had his head pressed against Caboose's chest.
"Go to sleep Wash. I will keep you warm. I promise. I will never let the cold get you. Go to sleep now." Caboose told him softly. The taller soldier was stroking his lover's face in hopes of calming his shivers. Wash's teeth chattered from the cold and Caboose tighten his grip.
"Caboose…Your heart is singing me my favorite song. I don't think I can stay awake much longer. I am so cold…" Wash told him once again. Caboose smiled.
"Then sleep. I will keep you warm Wash. Trust me on this." Caboose told him and watched as his lover gave away into sleep. Caboose pursued him in sleep. Tucker smiled at the sickly cute scene unfolding in the tent. Sarge huffed. It surprised him for someone like Wash and Caboose to be together, to be so loving like that. It was weird. Tucker and Sarge went to go sit back at the fire.
"Well Sarge. It look's like we're screwed. You have Grif and Simmons to bunk with tonight and I have Caboose and Wash." Tucker said as he attempted to settle the fire to nothing but ashes. Sarge nodded and watched as the flame was extinguished. He then grunted and stood from the log.
"Screw this! I'm going back to my Base." Sarge said as he moved to head to his base. He then offered Tucker to join him for a drink. Tucker not wanting to sleep in the same general area as the love birds of his team, agreed and accompanied Sarge at Red Base for some liquor. Tucker didn't want to go camping in the first place anyway. It was more of a Caboose-Wash thing afterall.

Well this has been the longest drabble ever! The second longest is the second drabble too. I was kind of upset about this one being the longest and it didn't have as much Caboose/Wash as I wanted it to. Oh well I guess.
By the way, I will not be able to post the Christmas chapter on Christmas. After but not before. I will be heading to my grandmothers the day after my Birthday.(21st if everything goes as planned.)
Anyway! Review!
