Merry Super Belated Christmas. Now I realize Christmas was a long time ago, however I promised I would make this and it is about time that I did. You see, I did not at first because I was busy and not really up to writing it, but now I am and write I will!
Merry Christmas Z! I began this Drabble Story for you! I originally planned to give this to you on Christmas but that didn't work out. Anyway this is for you! Enjoy!
For that reviewer that asked me if Sarge and Tucker were getting together, the answer is no. I just made it so they could be the awkward single guys from their Teams that needed a drink. I don't really think that is a real couple anyway but whatever floats your boat. Just saying.
I am making this the 12 Days of Christmas Red vs. Blue style! Review!
!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!
Prompt: Christmas Special
Pairing: Caboose/Wash
!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!
!~!~!~!~!~!~!(1st Day of Christmas)!~!~!~!~!~!~!
"Wash! Wash! Guess what's coming up!" Caboose called, as he ran through the Base, his footsteps were heavy against the ground. Wash, who was in the main area, reading a book looked up to his lover as Caboose entered the room. The much taller Blue was silently sweaty from the run, he had come from the Red Base all the way back here.
"What is it Caboose?" Wash asked sweetly, not up to guessing for it could be anything with Caboose. It could even be Pants time and Wash would not have guessed. So instead he let Caboose tell him up front so that he would not have to worry about guessing. Caboose walked over to the couch in which Wash was curled up on. The ex-Freelancer was coiled under a warm blanket and reading since it was a quiet day in the valley.
"Grif told me the date. You see I didn't know since my calendar in my visor broke, so Grif told me. He said, in twelve days from now is Christmas! Can you believe it? Is Santa still going to come? What if he doesn't know where we are?" Caboose asked dumbly. Wash smiled at his lover, who was much like an oversized kid. Tucker happened to be walking by and scuffed.
"Of course he's not coming Caboose. Santa isn't real. Duh." Tucker said angrily before heading to his room to do who knows what. Wash glared in his general direction, knowing that his words would undoubtedly upset his lover. He turned to look over at Caboose, who did not look discouraged about what Tucker had said.
"I guess he won't be getting any presents this year…" Caboose murmured before continuing in a more projected voice. "He does have a point though. Santa might not make it here because we aren't at Blood Gulch. We have no idea where we are at… I guess we have to make Christmas ourselves!" Caboose decided before standing back up. He grabbed Wash and pulled him toward their shared room.
"Come on Wash! Let's go make our Christmas lists!" Caboose called and dragged his lover behind him. Wash stumbled but managed to stay standing until they made it into their shared room. Wash glared lightly at Caboose he wanted to scold the other, tell him it was not right to grab people like that, but he let his words die on his lips. Caboose was handing him a piece of paper and a colored crayon.
"Write down what you want for Christmas and maybe you might get it. If Santa can find us that is. If not than I will get you what you want." Caboose told him. Wash nodded and wrote down nonsense stuff. Materials never mattered to him. All he wanted was Caboose there with him. Once done he folded up the paper and handed it to Caboose. Caboose took both of their folded papers and set them under their pillows.
"Caboose I don't think that's how it works…" Wash mumbled lightly. Caboose had not heard him and just hummed happily. Therefore Wash just let it settle where it was. The ex-Freelancer leaned over to his lover to kiss him lightly on the lips. Caboose accepted and returned the kiss happily, knowing with Wash there, he didn't need anything he asked for, for Christmas. He had all he needed in his arms.
!~!~!~!~!~!~!(2nd Day of Christmas)!~!~!~!~!~!~!
"We need a tree. Up that's what we need to make it feel more like Christmas. Don't you agree Wash?" Caboose turned over in bed to look at his resting lover. It was still early in the morning, much earlier than when Wash would normally wake up. Which explained why he was trying to sleep, only to be woken up by Caboose.
"Caboose I am tired. We can get a tree later. Not now." Wash whispered groggily. His arm was slung over his face, attempting to block out the world. However Caboose would not allow that. Not even a little. The blonde soldier frowned lightly at his lovers words and moved closer. Caboose needed Wash to get up now so they could go out of the valley and find some trees. It wasn't Christmas without the tree.
"Wash no! Wake up! Let's go and get a tree. Then you can go back to bed. Please?" Caboose pleaded to his tired lover. Wash decided it was probably best to go along with it, knowing he would not get any sleep otherwise. In annoyance, he pushed his warm blankets away and proceeded to dress in warm clothes. Even since Winter had fallen in the Valley, it had been getting increasingly colder. No one had known what to expect from Winter but knew it was much colder than they had predicted.
"Come on let's go! I borrowed an Axe from the Reds. I asked Tucker if he wanted to come and use his sword to cut down the tree, but he laughed in my face. Guess he didn't want to." Caboose told Wash as he himself dress. Once they were ready, Caboose lead them out of the Valley and into a nearby forest. The sun was hardly rising so Caboose had to rely on the flashlight he brought with them.
"Which one should we get Wash?" Caboose asked happily as he inspected the medium sized pine trees that littered the forest. Wash, who was curled into himself with an unhappy frown on his face just shrugged. He didn't care either way. All he wanted was to get back to the base so he could go back to bed. It was asking much. However Caboose wanted to him to choose.
"G-get t-that one-e." Wash shivered out, his teeth chattering lightly. Caboose inspected the one he was pointing to and nodded in approval. Caboose than copped it down, it took no time at all with his strength. He handed the axe over to Wash for him to carry as he dragged the tree along behind him. They soon made it back to the base with the Tree.
Caboose decided it would be best in the main living area, luckily the tree was small enough to fit into the base without any trouble. He looked it over and looked back to praise Wash on picking a good tree. However his lover was not there. Caboose assumed Wash had retreated back to their room to catch up on his lost sleep. Caboose smiled and followed after, he could worry about decorating the tree later.
!~!~!~!~!~!~!(3rd Day of Christmas)!~!~!~!~!~!~!
The day after acquiring the tree, Caboose and Wash had decided to decorate it as well as the entire base. They had managed to stay in bed all day the day prior. After getting the tree Wash did not want to get out of bed all day. In fact he skipped dinner in favor of sleeping. Tucker had not been happy, but Wash did not care. Luckily today, Wash was more active.
Caboose had asked him to help out decorating the tree and base. The didn't have conventional decorations so they would have to make due. Wash had taken some old blankets, and cut them into small strands. He decided they would be used as the tinsel on the tree. Each strand was roughly stitched together. It was perfect for tinsel and was respectfully blue.
Wash had done this with more old blankets in which he would hang around the base. Caboose took time to draw out Christmas pictures. They had nothing to hang on the walls in terms of seasonal wreaths and such, so Caboose drew them out. Tucker was off collecting pinecones and old everyday objects. They would be painted blue and later hung on the tree as ornaments.
Once Wash was done cutting up the 'tinsel' he hung it around the tree and base with the help of Caboose. The tree was looking much better now, and once the paint dried on the pinecone and such, they could be hung on the tree as well. Wash then began helping Caboose draw and color Christmas themed pictures for the base. Once done with this, the pictures were taped to the walls around the base.
Soon Tucker returned with the pinecones, which were ready to be put on the tree. Each of the items were spread out perfectly so that the tree was evenly balanced. The Blues then set out to make sure the whole base was decorated evenly. Caboose knew better than leaving one room more seasonal then the others. Sure they didn't have much but they made due. Soon all was left was to place the star on the top of the tree.
However they didn't have a star. Caboose frowned at this and went searching for something that represented the Blue team. Even Tucker helped look but they found nothing in particular. All of the efforts were fruitless if they didn't have a star to top off the tree. It was absolutely horrible.
"Sure we don't have a star or something but we don't need it do we? I mean it's still Christmas without the star right?" Wash said sympathetically. He could see how upset Caboose physically was. The other's face was crestfallen in disappointment. Wash knew how much Christmas meant to Caboose and he knew it was upsetting for the other to not follow main traditions.
"I know. I guess all I wanted was a perfect Christmas. I thought that meant I needed a tree with a star on top. Or sending my Christmas list to Santa. That's not it though. Christmas is only prefect if you spend it with the right people. Someone like you Wash." Caboose said pulling his lover into a kiss. While they didn't have a tree topper, they still had each other.
!~!~!~!~!~!~!(4th Day of Christmas)!~!~!~!~!~!~!
"Wash! Can you make cookies?" Tucker called from his room, he was hungry for something sweet, not the normal boring food that Wash normally cooked. He wanted desserts, something to rot his teeth and satisfy his stomach. Wash, who happen to be walking by Tucker's room at the time glared in at Tucker.
"No and shush! I don't want Caboose to hear you. If he does then I will have to make the cookies." Wash said firmly and walked on. Tucker frowned and crossed his arms. He refused to give in so easily and knew with the help of Caboose, he could get those cookies from Wash. Tucker stood and walked out into the main living area. He knew that Caboose would be there.
"Hey Caboose, you know what a cool Christmas tradition is?" Tucker asked slyly as he walked into the room. Caboose was there, drawing on the ground in front of the tree. The blue-armored soldier looked up with a ecstatic smile, always looking for something Christmas related to celebrate. Tucker moved in closer and sat on the ground next to the taller soldier.
"Well, we could ask Wash to make Christmas cookies. I think we have enough of the materials to make them. I asked him but he said no. How about you ask him, he can't refuse you." Tucker persuaded and Caboose nodded happily. Caboose stood happily and moved out of the room in pursuit of where Wash was. Tucker could hear from where he was the pleading Caboose was doing for those cookies. Seconds later, he heard Wash's hesitant agreement.
"I hate you." Wash murmured angrily as he walked past Tucker to go into the Kitchen. Caboose was on his tail, in hopes of helping out in the making of the cookies. Tucker just gave him a fox smile in return and sat back to wait for the cookies. Sure enough the sweet smell of cookies filled the base. Tucker sprang up and went into the kitchen.
"They have to cool down first Tucker." Caboose told him as he approached the cooling cookies. Wash was not far away, he was mixing up some icing for the cookies. Tucker nodded and went to sit at the table. He waited and watched as Wash spread the icing on the cookies. Once they were done Tucker stood to go and get some.
"Oh no. You don't get any. These are Caboose's cookies." Wash said with a smile on his face. Tucker frowned and glared, he reached for a cookie anyway only to have a pistol pressed to his bare side. Tucker pulled his hand back.
"You won't shoot me. Not because you had to make these cookies." Tucker glared at the other. However he knew that Wash would shoot him because of those cookies. Sure it was probably not the best idea to have used Caboose against Wash just for him to make cookies, but that wasn't worth shooting him over. That didn't mean Tucker was going to risk it. Therefore he huffed and stomped away as Caboose and Wash ate the cookies.
!~!~!~!~!~!~!(5th Day of Christmas)!~!~!~!~!~!~!
"Can we go play outside?" Caboose asked as he approached his lover. Wash was laying on the couch, reading once again like he always did. It had snowed the night before, Wash knowing this because it was snowing before he went to bed the night before. Wash was unsure of how much snow they had got that night. It was the first snow of the Winter and Wash was almost worried to see how bad it was.
"I don't know Caboose. It was snowing pretty bad last night. Snow may be fun to play in but too much snow is not good. If it snowed too much then it's probably not best to go out and play." Wash said in attempt to change Caboose's mind about going outside. Wash loved Caboose very much but the other always wanted to do stuff that Wash was not very fond of. Caboose wanted to go out and play in the snow, Wash hated the snow and would prefer to stay indoors.
"It's not that bad Wash. I already checked it this morning. I know you don't like the cold that much but you can always wear one of my coats if you want to. It's much warmer than the hoodies you wear." Caboose offered moving over to his lover on the couch. Wash looked up at him in uncertainty. He wanted to please Caboose so he agreed and went to get dressed.
Once outside he saw the damage the snow had done. It was almost a foot deep, maybe about eight or so inches. It was not as bad as Wash had believed it would be, but was much worse than what Caboose made it out to be. Wash debated on going back in, but was already up to his shins in snow and decided to see through it with Caboose.
Caboose dragged him out further into the snow. It was deeper in some parts. However it was still not that bad. Caboose moved around and began to pack the snow into a small ball. He then rolled it around the in the snow. Luckily it was the consistency in which it could pack together easily. Wash watched as Caboose moved the snow around. Soon the other had a large ball of snow packed together.
Once that was done, Caboose moved to make another yet smaller ball. After that one was done as well as another, they were stacked onto each other. Soon there was a large Snowman standing perfectly in front of the base. Caboose then dug through the snow to find what he need to finish off the Snowman.
Sticks were stuck out of the sides to symbolize the arms. Stones were set as the eyes, mouth and nose since they didn't have a carrot handy. Caboose stepped back to admire his work with a smile. Wash removed the scarf around his neck and wrapped it around the Snowman's. Caboose watched and frowned.
"Won't you get cold?" Caboose asked and Wash shook his head. The ex-Freelancer moved closer to his warmer lover, Caboose was all the warmth he needed to keep him warm.
!~!~!~!~!~!~!(6th Day of Christmas)!~!~!~!~!~!~!
It was much colder outside than Wash wished it was. It had been that way since the heavy snow the day before. A chilling wind pulled in and even though they were safe in the base, it was much drafter than Wash wished it was. Even in the comfort of his bed he had nothing to protect him from the chills of Winter. All he really had was Caboose to keep him warm.
Which was not the case at the current time. Wash was curled in bed, desperately trying to keep himself war, but Caboose went outside to play in the snow. This time he took Tucker with him so Wash dodged that bullet. However that didn't mean he was doing much better alone in his bed.
Therefore Wash stood reluctantly from his bed, pulling over his head one of Caboose's old hoodies. It was large enough to almost swallow Wash whole, the sleeves had to be bunched up so they didn't hang off of his arms. It hung down to mid-thigh, but it was warm and that was all that mattered. Wash then shuffled out of his room and made his way toward the kitchen area.
It was much more chilly outside his room but Wash was already close enough to the kitchen to commit to what he was doing. He could hear Caboose outside from the table, he was running and laughing around which caused Wash to smile. At least Caboose was having fun. Wash moved to the pantry to find what he was looking for. Sure enough there was enough Cocoa mix to make exactly what Wash was craving at the time.
Hot Chocolate to keep him warm in this chilly weather. Wash took the Cocoa from the pantry with a smile and began to prepare the drink over the stove. Once done, Wash filled a cup up with the Hot Chocolate and sat at the table to drink it. He was about to take his first when his teammates burst into the room, bringing with them a surge of cold wind. Wash shivered and clenched his Hot Chocolate closer to him in hopes to salvage some heat from it.
"Hiya Wash! What do you have there?" Caboose asked as he moved to sit with Wash at the table. Wash could see out of the corner of his eye, Tucker raced to get to his room. Wash assumed he wasn't doing so good in the cold either. The only person who didn't seemed discouraged was Caboose, but that was because he was more excited about Christmas than to let the cold get to him.
"Hot Chocolate. Trying to keep warm." Wash told him and showed his lover the contents of the cup in his hands. Caboose nodded and moved closer. He had taken off his heavy overcoat, so that the snow would not get around the base. Wash cuddled close into Caboose's warm chest.
"I will keep you warm Wash!" Caboose told him loudly. Wash nodded into his chest but said nothing for he finally managed to pick up some warmth from Caboose and his Hot Chocolate. He didn't even mind when Caboose asked him for his drink. He was warm and safe from the cold.
!~!~!~!~!~!~!(7th Day of Christmas)!~!~!~!~!~!~!
"Wash! Wash! Wash! Get up! Please! Get up!" Caboose called happily as he ran through the base in pure delight. He ran up to his room and burst through the closed door. Wash was there, and not surprisingly still in bed. It seemed that it was all Wash did anymore, sleep and stay in bed. Caboose decided that it would not be like that today. Today was a day to go out and play.
"Why?" Wash asked from the pile of blankets he was hiding under. He didn't feel lazy for staying in bed throughout the day. It was cold and that was all that matter to Wash. He wasn't leaving the sanctuary of his bed unless he really needed to. Unfortunately he felt as though Caboose was going to make him whether he wanted to or not.
"So we can go outside and make snow angels. If you don't know what that is it's when you lay on the snow and move your arms and legs back and forth. That way when you stand, it looks like you made in angel in the snow. It's so cool." Caboose told his lover. Wash rolled his eyes.
"I know what a snow angel is. Why do I have to go with you?" Wash asked sitting up in bed. His hair was ruffled and out of place from being in bed. Caboose just smiled brightly and pulled Wash out of the bed.
"Because you love me. Tucker's no fun! Besides it's not that cold outside. Snow angels are super fun to make. Once we are done we can come back in and cuddle okay?" Caboose persuaded and Wash knew he could not resist his lover. Reluctantly, he agreed even though he knew he would regret it. However he did want Caboose to have fun up to Christmas day.
So that is how he found himself standing outside in the cold with Caboose. The snow had begun to fall again, which added to the snow from a couple of days ago. It was hard for the snow in the valley to melt away, for when it was sunny outside, it was still so cold and the snow could not melt. Not to mention the sun could not always hit the snow in the valley. Wash was worried that if the snow could not melt, they would get buried by snow.
Caboose, however did not look worried. In fact he looked overjoyed to see the snow. Since he was much like an oversized child, he didn't mind the precipitation and enjoyed his time in the snow without a care in the world. Wash smiled as Caboose fell down onto his back into the snow. Wash smiled and even let a laugh out and joined him in the snow.
After almost an hour of settling in the snow and making angels out of the soft white blanket on the ground, Wash finally pushed himself off of the ground. He was much colder than he was early, but was at least having fun with his lover. Caboose also stood from his playing to wrap his arms around the freezing ex-Freelancer.
"Let's go back to bed…" Caboose shivered out. Wash nodded in agreement and the couple went back in, to cuddle close together.
!~!~!~!~!~!~!(8th Day of Christmas)!~!~!~!~!~!~!
Caboose knew that Wash told him not to. He's not denying that at all. It's just that Wash was looking so cold that day and he could use it. Therefore Caboose moved the tree over, just pushed it and it luckily nothing fell off so Caboose considered himself lucky. Wash would have killed him if something had dropped off. Mainly because they spent almost a full day getting the decorations absolutely perfect.
Soon the tree was gone and out of the way, Caboose went about fashions a bunch of rocks against the wall furthest from the couch. He built some rocks up to make a small stone wall and then made a pit using more rocks. It didn't bulge out none so Caboose felt like Wash would not mind all that much. In fact Caboose was sure that Wash would be rather pleased.
After fashioning the rocks and such to where he wanted them, Caboose took a step back to admire his creation. It looked like a tradition Fireplace. It would become that once Caboose had found a place for the tree to rest. He didn't want to have to worry about the foliage catching on fire or anything like that. If something like that happened it would absolutely ruin Christmas for Blue team.
Once the tree was in place, Caboose piled up some dry sticks, it had been almost impossible to find some thanks to the snow but Caboose had managed some. He set them in a perfect pattern to ensure the best burning. He had walked all of the way over to Red Base to ask to borrow Grif's lighter to start the fire. After some convincing he got it from the Orange armored soldier with a promise to bring it back.
Caboose moved to light fire to the sticks. He watched as the fire grew but not out of control. There was nowhere for the fire to move. When Caboose was sure that the fire could no longer spread, he moved to his bedroom where he knew Wash was.
"Wash come here. I have a surprise for you!" Caboose called in happiness, he was excited to show his lover what he had been working on. Wash stood from the bed, bringing the covers with him. He then let Caboose lead him out into the main area. Wash looked with wide eyes at the cute fireplace Caboose had forged up.
"Did you make this for me?" Wash asked as he sat in front of the stones in the path of the heat. A smile cracked on his face at the warmth that soon consumed his body. Caboose moved to sit next to him. The couple curled together in front of the fire. Caboose stoked Wash's head with his large hand, he loved the feeling of Wash's soft hand under his hand.
"Of course I did. To keep you warm." Caboose promised and a kiss landed against his lips. He returned it happily. The couple stayed by the hearth to keep warm. Wash almost wished that Caboose had built it in their room. Almost.
!~!~!~!~!~!~!(9th Day of Christmas)!~!~!~!~!~!~!
Caboose sat bored in front of the fire. There was nothing to do that Wash would allow. Caboose had pleaded his lover to allow him to go out and play in the snow but Wash forbid it. It had snowed some more over night and Wash was not in the mood for a snowball fight. Plus Tucker would not have played with him either so…Going outside would be boring if he didn't have anyone to play with.
So he stayed in with his lover. Caboose tried to color and draw but was sick of it after a couple of pictures. They were all of the same drawing. Caboose loved to draw Wash, he enjoyed it thoroughly. However he had tons of pictures of Wash and was no longer in the mood to draw because of this.
Caboose stood with an idea of what he could do to preoccupy him. He could always sing for Wash. It was technically called Christmas Caroling. Caboose was sure that Wash would not mind hearing him sing out. Maybe Wash would even enjoy it. There he raced into the Kitchen in which where his lover was.
"Wash! Let me sing to you!" Caboose called out. Tucker, who had been at the table drinking some coffee, stood immediately to leave the kitchen. Caboose watched in slight confusion as Tucker left but thought nothing much of it. Maybe Tucker was busy and couldn't be there at the time. It couldn't be because Caboose said he was going to sing that was for sure.
Wash looked up from what he was doing to give Caboose an unsure smile. He was rolling out dough and cutting it into various shapes. Caboose watched as Wash moved the dough around and placed it into the oven.
"What's that?" Caboose asked in curiosity as he looked over his lovers shoulder. The ex-Freelancer moved to make more dough and shaped it as well. He did this several times before the oven was full of pans that contained what he was cooking. Each pan had two medium sized shaped pieces. Caboose furrowed his brow at the pans of food. He had never seen anything like that cooked before.
"It's gingerbread Caboose. After it hardens up, I'm going to decorate it with icing. I might even be able to make a gingerbread house. If not then I will just leave it as it is." Wash told him and moved to make the icing. He whipped it to the perfect texture then moved to get the gingerbread out of the oven. Caboose watched in utter fascination as Wash decorated the bread.
"Can I eat it?" Caboose asked once Wash was finished applying the icing to the gingerbread. Wash smiled and laughed light.
"Of course. Here." Wash said with a large smile before he handed Caboose a small piece that had broken off earlier. Caboose took the Christmas dessert into his mouth and savored the great taste that hit his tongue. It was good like he thought it would be. Afterall Wash had cooked it, Wash always made good food. With a smile and kiss from his lover, Wash and Caboose enjoyed their gingerbread until there was no more. Which left Tucker to complain about not getting any later.
!~!~!~!~!~!~!(10th Day of Christmas)!~!~!~!~!~!~!
Tucker smirked slyly once he was finished with the last minute decorating. Christmas was in two days and he had bothered some old decorations from the Reds to use in the Base. Apparently this specific decoration was found in Donut's old stuff and Tucker could only wonder why he needed Donut needed that much of one thing…however that was not the most important part.
He finished up putting up the simple yet popular Christmas decoration. Sure it really didn't matter that the decoration was up since the only people there was him, and he didn't plan on leaving his room anyway, and the couple. So no matter how many times they were caught by it, they were already together so… It was just pointless.
However that did not stop Tucker from enjoying every second in which he had the decoration up. So he set roots down on the couch where he would be safe but also where he can see every decoration he hung up. He was not missing a chance to call out the lovers.
So when Caboose and Wash brushed shoulder, Wash coming out of the kitchen and Caboose going in, Tucker caught them. He whistled loudly to catch their attention. Once the lovers were looking over to him he pointed for them to look up. Their eyes caught sight of what Tucker was pointing to. A mistletoe hanging above them.
"What's that?" Caboose asked as he pointed up at the handing parasite plant. Wash just rolled his eyes and glared lightly at Tucker for this. It wasn't like Wash didn't want to kiss Caboose or anything, afterall he was dating the taller soldier, but Tucker was resorting to childish ways to get them embarrassed. It wouldn't work anyway since he and Caboose shared a great love. Nothing could bother them really.
"It's mistletoe Caboose. During the holidays people kiss under it. Tradition." Wash told him and Caboose nodded. The taller soldier looked at the mistletoe with wonder. He had heard of something similar with different consequences for being caught under it. This was just a sweet pointless tradition. Caboose shrugged and brought his lips down to cover Wash's. The ex-Freelancer did not mind and even returned the kiss fully.
After the kiss, Wash was not surprised to see himself getting caught over and over throughout the day. Even time he and Caboose was close Tucker would call them out and wolf whistle at the kiss. Not that either of them minded but it was getting old. Luckily there was still the same amount of spark in each kiss. Finally Wash confronted Tucker on the issue of the mistletoe.
"Why do you have all of this mistletoe? Where did you get from anyway?" Wash asked but was sure to stir clear away from Tucker. There was no way he was kissing his subordinate 2 days from Christmas. He was happy with Caboose afterall. Tucker shrugged.
"I put them out for our dinner tomorrow with the Reds. I decided to try it out on the lovebirds. I think the test day turned out successful." Tucker pointed out and Wash scuffed. It sounded like something Tucker would do for sure.
"Whatever just take it all down. I will not have everyone kissing everyone tomorrow." Wash commanded and made sure to watch Tucker as each one was removed from the ceiling with a frown from the teal-armored soldier. Caboose had entered the room once all of the mistletoe was gone. He looked around, then shrugged and kissed Wash despite there not being mistletoe around.
!~!~!~!~!~!~!(Christmas Day)!~!~!~!~!~!~!
"Wash! Wake up it's Christmas! Wake up!" Caboose called out in joy. Wash, who was trying to sleep peacefully turned over in attempt to ignore his lover's loud voice. It seemed to bounce off of the walls and was projected more because of it. He knew it was Christmas but didn't see the point of waking up and getting excited over it. There was no presents under the tree to greet them. They all knew that so why did Caboose insist on getting up so early.
"Christmas Wash! Christmas!" Caboose persuaded sweetly. Of course Wash knew Christmas was not about receiving, but about giving. However he had already given the blessing of food to the Reds along with Tucker and Caboose. There was nothing really to look forward to that day. Everything that focused mainly on Christmas had occurred over the last weeks or so. All Christmas was really now was a day. No real celebration.
"I know it's Christmas Caboose." Wash said sitting up groggily. Caboose had that wide child-like smile on his face. Something you would expect from a child on Christmas. Wash rubbed his head and stretched lightly. Wash hoped that Caboose would leave to let him sleep a little longer, but he knew that it would happen. He knew his lover would not leave until he was out of bed.
"Come on Wash! Me and Tucker have our presents for you!" Caboose claimed with a large smile. Wash followed but this statement had left him slightly confused. He was sure that nobody had got anybody a present for this Christmas. It just wasn't possible this time around. However he had heard Caboose clearly and his lover claimed to have a present for him.
Once he was in the main area, he was greeted by a sight someone would see in a Hallmark movie. Tucker was laying out in front of the fire, with room for him and Caboose to join in the warmth of the hearth. There was indeed presents under the tree, there was four to be in fact. Wash knew two where for him, as well as one for Tucker and Caboose. It was a warm and pleasant sight in the living area. Definitely Christmas.
Wash sat with his teammates in front of the fire as he received his presents. Tucker had given him some old yet fluffy blankets. Apparently he had be scavenging the ship for stuff to give his teammates this Christmas and figured it would be the best present for him. Wash accepted the present with a wide smile and true happiness. Hopefully he could finally keep himself warm outside his bed.
From Caboose he received a book full of all of the pictures Caboose has drawn. Most were just him and Caboose but there was a couple of the entire Blue team. Even some old pictures from Blood Gulch. Wash assumed that Caboose would have wanted to keep them for himself but the other insisted he keep the pictures. Wash accepted the gift with a kiss and a thanks to his lover.
Tucker had received from Caboose a large collection of perverted magazines. Apparently Caboose's dad was a big fan of such items and after he died Caboose was meant to receive the magazines. He personally had no use of them so he gave them all to Tucker. The teal-armor soldier accepted the present, gave his present to Caboose and took off to read alone in his room.
"What did he give you?" Wash asked as Caboose opened up his present. It was the box of mistletoe. Both of them laughed at the present. It seemed like a Tucker thing to do afterall. Once a kiss or two was exchanged, Wash and Caboose retreated back to their room. Wash felt bad because he had not got them anything, but Caboose assured him that the dinner the day before was enough.
"I love you so much Caboose. Merry Christmas!" Wash said and planted a kiss on his lover's lips.
"I love you too! I can't wait for next Christmas!" Caboose declared after the kiss was broke. Wash just sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Let's take this one Christmas at a time. Yeah?" Wash persuaded and Caboose ultimately agreed. The couple spent the rest of their Christmas together, enjoying each other's company over everything else. Christmas had turned out good afterall. A final kiss was shared.

Again, a VERY MERRY BELATED CHRISTMAS! I hope you all truly did have a good day. I apologize if this was retarded but at least I delivered it in the end. Originally I didn't want to do it at all. However I felt bad for not committing to something I said I would do.
Therefore I knew I had to complete this before Christmas 2014. I mostly finished it so I can get back to typing on my Drabbles. I sure missed them. So I wrote this so I can write more. I did have fun writing this so that is one good thing I suppose. It is much longer than I had originally expected it to be. I decided to do the 12 Days of Christmas last minute. I think it was pretty good idea since it turned out pretty good.
I want to also apologize for the mistakes I know there is in this story. I am not prefect, I do not claim to be and I am far to lazy to read this over to proof-read it. I accept my mistakes as they come.
I feel like all Wash did was complain about the cold. So I am sorry about that, he is much like me in that sense. I didn't want the Days to seem repeated but it turned out like that anyway.
I cannot confirm or deny that I will be writing a Valentines Day special for the Drabbles. If I do then it will be for the next drabble. However I have not just made my decision and I will let you know my decision the next time I post. If I post on Valentines Day, then you have a special. If not, then no Special.
I will not say the next Drabble. Review!
