"WHO DARES TO ATTACK ME, THE MIGHTY NINE-TAILS FOX? I WILL KILL YOU PUNY FLESH BAG!"

He gulped, 'Maybe I should have found another way to wake Naruto.'

Now:

'Bloody hell! How do I get in these situations?' Harry thought as he escaped another swipe of those dangerously sharp claws which was a little too close for comfort. He was tired, hungry and grumpy, in pain and really really pissed off. Abruptly his terror turned into a hot wave of anger. He turned, and faced of the fox.

"WILL YOU AT LEAST LISTEN ONCE YOU STUPID FLEA-RIDDEN OVERGROWN FOX?"

Maybe it was the shock that a 'puny flesh bag' had actually shouted at him, but the fox stopped for a moment. And a moment was the only thing Harry needed. He conjured the strongest shield he could and then shot a really over-powered calming spell at the fox, all in span of a few seconds. Of course, a calming draught would have worked but he had neither the potion on him nor the means to feed it to fox.

"Now that you are a little calm I want to tell you that I had no intention of attacking you or Naruto. I just wanted to make sure that Naruto was fine. He was not responding and-". He was cut before he could finish his sentence.

"CEASE YOUR MUMBLING YOU FLESH BAG. SO IT WAS YOU WHO WOKE ME UP FROM MY SLEEP AND LIFTED THAT GENJUTSU. HUH GOOD FOR YOU. MAYBE I WONT PLAY WITH YOU MUCH BEFORE DEVOURING YOU. MAYBE"

"What do you mean lifted the genjutsu? I didn't do anything." Genjutsu was illusion used for fooling the senses of people, his mind automatically supplied. Oh yes, he was good at ignoring the death threat that the fox had uttered. He focused on keeping the fox busy for a little while, as he desperately tried to think of a way to save his sorry little ass.

"THE GENJUTSU THAT MADE ME ATTACK THE INSIGNIFICANT VILLAGE, OF COURSE. NOW STOP RUNNING YOU SQUISHY LITTLE HUMAN, I HAVENT HAD A GOOD MEAL SINCE EONS."

"The genjutsu that made you attack! What do you mean by that? Someone made you attack? How could someone control your furry butt?" Harry asked incredulously.

"NO ONE CAN CONTROL ME THE GREAT KYUUBI-NO-KITSUNE. I WILL HAVE MY REVENGE, I WILL HUNT DOWN MADARA TO THE END OF THIS EARTH. WHEN I FIND HIM BE SURE THAT I WILL TEAR THAT PATHETIC PIECE OF FLESHBAG WITH MY OWN TEETH AND THEN GORGE ON HIS FLESH UNTIL EVERY DROP OF HIS BLOOD IS CONSUMED."

"Damn your ego is so big that it's a wonder it does not have its own gravitational field! In front of you Riddle's ego seems positively miniscule" Harry deadpanned.

"SILENCE YOU WORTHLESS MORTAL PIECE OF FLESH! YOUR IMPERTINENCE IS MAKING ME ANGRIER!"

"Oh shut up you- Say what is your name? I can't keep calling you nine tails fox, now can I? "

'MY NAME? IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE A MORTAL ACKNOWLEDGED MY INTELLIGENCE. NOT MANY PEOPLE ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO SHOUT AT MY FACE. THIS ONE SEEMS AN INTERESTING PIECE.MAYBE I CAN HEAR WHAT HE HAS TO SAY.'

Honestly he was intrigued by the flyspeck. Not many could face him and retain the ability to speak, let alone shout.

"MY NAME? WHAT MAKES YOU THINK PIP-SQUEAK THAT YOU DESERVE TO KNOW MY NAME?"

"Maybe the fact that it is insulting to address someone by the number of appendages they have?" Harry said sarcastically.

The Kyuubi-no-kitsune paused for a moment. Now that he thought of that, it was decidedly degrading to be addressed by the number of appendages he had.

Sniffing contemptuously he said, "YOU MAY ADDRESS ME AS KURAMA. YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL FOR YOUR EXISTENCE MIDGET, NOT MANY ARE FURTUNATE TO HEAR MY NAME."

'Grateful, my ass. He is so bloody full of himself', Harry was getting rather irritated by the constant comments on his size. Honestly it was not his fault that Kurama was so fucking big.

He took a deep breath and tried to relax, "Ok then, Kurama-sama can you please tell me what you meant by someone making you attack! This Madara, why did he want to destroy this village? Do you know Madara?"

Slightly mollified by the tone, Kurama answered "MADARA HAD LONG AGO SWORN VENGEANCE ON THIS PITIFUL VILLAGE."

"Vengeance?" Harry frowned, "Did the village harm him?" This mess was getting more and more complicated.

"HE WAS JUST ANOTHER POWER HUNGRY PEST. HE THREW A TANTRUM WHEN HE DID NOT GET HIS WAY. HE SAUGHT ME OUT AND TEMPORARILY SUBDUED ME."

"Hey wait, I can see where this story is going. Madara came back and challenged the first Hokage. But he lost didn't he? History says that Uchiha Madara died that day in Valley of the End. Even if he did not die then, how could he be alive uptil now? He should have died of old age by now, Kurama?"

"Kurama?"

"WHY SHOULD I BOTHER TO ANSWER YOU, BRAT? IT DOES NOT MATTER TO ME HOW THE RAT SURVIVED. WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON HIM, YOU WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT."

Harry huffed," How are you going to kill him if he can control you? He has already 'temporarily subdued' you two times. What is there to prevent it from happening the third time?"

"DO NOT TEST MY PATIENCE RUNT. THIS TIME NOTHING CAN STOP ME FROM KILLING MADARA! NOTHING! I AM GETTING TIRED OF THIS CONVERSATION, GET READY TO DIE BRAT"

Before Kurama could pounce, Harry spoke up "What if I offer you a deal? A deal that is advantageous to both of us," Kurama scoffed which was extremely out of character for him.

"WHAT CAN YOU OFFER ME?"

"I lifted the genjutsu, didn't I? What if I offer my assistance in finding Madara? If he tries to put you under genjutsu again, I will make sure that he fails in the most painful way. Then you can take your revenge the way you want. In return you can help me by keeping Naruto safe. He is your vessel, isn't he? If he dies then you also die. I will train him and make him powerful enough to be worthy of your container", Harry said persuasively. He crossed his fingers, hoping the offer would appeal to the arrogant nature of the fox.

"YOUR DISPELLING THE GENJUTSU WAS A FLUKE. THERE IS NO ASSURANCE THAT IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN."

"No, I swear I can dispel the genjutsu. How do you know if it was a fluke or not? What if you get caught again? You don't want to give Madara the satisfaction of knowing that he subdued you again, do you?" 'I am not lying, there must me some or the other way to dispel genjutsu by magic', thought Harry.

"YOU PROPOSE THAT YOU WILL MAKE MY VESSEL POWERFUL? HOW DO YOU THINK YOU WILL ACHIEVE THAT? IF YOU THINK THAT YOU CAN HOLD YOUR END OF BARGAIN, THEN I ACCEPT. BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT IT IS A TEMPORARY TRUCE. YOU ANGER ME AND THE DEAL IS OFF."

'Well, at least he accepted', Harry thought wryly. "Hey, no fair! How do I know that you will hold your end of bargain?"

"DO NOT INSULT ME SQUIRT! I GAVE YOU A DEMON'S WORD. THAT IS NOT SOMETHING REFUTABLE. REMEMBER, IF YOU FAIL, NOTHING IN THIS WORLD CAN SEVE YOU", KYUBBI SAID OMINOUSLY.

Harry gulped,' Nice going Potter, just what you needed a deal with a demon.' "I will keep that in mind, don't worry. Ah! Is Naruto okay? I came here because he was not responding."

"ITS NOTHING. WHEN YOU DISPELLED THE GENJUTSU, HIS SYSTEM WENT TO SLEEP BECAUSE OF ME. THE MIDGET WILL BE FINE SOON. NOW STOP PESTERING ME AND GET OUT OF HERE! THE AGREEMENT DOES NOT STATE THAT I CAN'T TAKE A SNAP AT YOU."

"Err..okay then, goodbye", Harry said awkwardly. He concentrated and a moment later he was back in the hotel room.

'Huh! It was easier to escape the mind landscape this time. But damn, mind magic is so tiring! I can probably sleep for next seventy-two hours'. Harry was really tired, he had been going on for Merlin knows how many hour. The only rest he had was, when he was meditating.

However, he still had to look after Naruto. He sighed tiredly before gently shaking the chibi. Naruto opened his eyes minutely.

"Wanna sweep more zombie-san. Me weally weally tiwed", he yawned cutely before falling asleep again promptly.

'Well if he is sleeping then I should also hit the sack'. Harry cast a disturbance charm that would wake him up if Naruto woke up. Yawning, Harry was asleep beside Naruto in a few moments.
