Sakura walked outside the night after she had regained control from Temari. All of the girls down stairs have been too busy messing around to notice, Sakura was glad of that. She still needed to make the proper arrangements for Hinata and Naruto for their date, and for Ino's mummification. She sat down against the big tree in the yard and looked up at the night sky. It was a cool night, with spring not quite there yet. It was early March. The cool air felt good on her skin. She loved living with so many people, but it was good to be alone sometimes. Part of her wanted to have Ino there, resting her head on her lap so she could stroke her hair. But if she went in there everyone would try to follow her out. In the quiet night, she heard the rustle of leaves. Part of her wanted to jump up, but she suppressed it, they were in the woods. More likely than not it was just an animal. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. The cool night air rushing into her lungs was relaxing. Suddenly, every one of her instincts told her to move. She managed to pushed herself to the right to start to roll. A kunai hit her in the left shoulder where her throat had been a second before. She put her left had up just in time to stop another potentially killing blow. Two more knives hit her, on in the bicep and one in the forearm. Her left arm was now limp and useless. Before her, standing in the moonlight, was Kabuto. He grinned at her and pushed his glasses up, causing the moonlight to glint off them. "Kabuto you fucking snake, what are you doing here!" "To put it simply, Lord Orochimaru wants you as his personal Slave. You can choose to come willingly, or I can take you by force." Sakura knew she was in trouble. She wasn't a match for Kabuto on a good day, he was a very skilled medical ninja. But with her left arm disabled, and loosing blood as fast as she was, it was going to be a short fight. "Well If I'm going to die I'm going to go out fighting." Sakura drew a knife, and took a defensive stance. Kabuto charged at her. She knew that no one in the house would be able to get to her in time. She wouldn't be able to block his first attack. He would stab with his knife, which she would be forced to deflect. The he would stab forward at her ribs with his medical jutsu. It would probably stop her heart in a few seconds. "RASENGAN!" Came the cry just before Kabuto hit her. Naruto had jumped off the roof and hit Kabuto square in the chest. He flew off towards the woods, and hit a tree hard, falling to the ground. Two clones Naruto's came out of the woods and grabbed Kabuto. They drug his unconscious form over to Sakura and tossed him on the ground at her feet." "Oh no.. Sakura you're hurt. Come on, we need to get you looked at." "Naruto what about him?" Naruto lifted her up and carried her inside. "The clones will get him." Naruto scanned the front room. "INO, HINATA, I NEED HELP, HURRY." He set Sakura down on a couch, and brushed some hair off her face. Hinata and Into rushed down the stairs together. They came around the corner, and saw Sakura bleeding everywhere. Ino let out a gasping sob, but managed to pulled herself together. "ANKO! We need towels, LOTS OF TOWELS!" Anko rushed down the stairs with an armful of towels. She set them down next to Ino, that's when she saw Sakura. "Oh my god." She said with tears in her eyes. Hinata pulled out the first knife, and soaked up some of the blood so Ino could work. She could only heal the wound a little before the blood obscured her vision and Hinata had to wipe more of it away. Once the first hole was closed they moved on to the next, then the next, then the next. Until all the knives had been removed and the wounds closed. Hinata and Ino both set to using their medical technique to inspect the wounds. "The surface seems to have healed well. But there is some serious bone and ligament damage. The knife that hit your bicep went nearly all the way through the bone before it got lodged. He must have been enhancing them with medical ninjutsu." Ino said still inspecting. "Several of the tendons in your hand have been damaged, and one of them has been severed. I can reattach it, but it won't be usable for awhile. Ino I think we're going to need to immobilize the arm for at least a week." "I agree completely we're also going to need blood for a transfusion. TEMARI!" "I'll go!" Naruto said rushing forward. "No Naruto, You're the strongest among us, we need you here. Go set up clones around the perimeter, we're counting on you to keep Sakura safe." Naruto nodded, and rushed out the door. Temari came down the stairs in time to see him leave. "What's going on? I was asleep." She said walking into the sitting room. She saw Sakura, who at this point was unconscious from blood loss. "Oh god..." "Temari she's going to need blood for a transfusion or she isn't going to make it. I need you to go to Tsunade, she can get you what you need without filing a request for it, we don't have time for that. Take Tenten with you. We cant let anyone be alone right now, there could be more attackers hiding in the woods." Temari nodded, and ran upstairs, she retrieved Tenten, and they bolted out the door. They had to push their way past the three thick ring of Naruto's that had encircled the house completely. "How's she doing Hinata, talk to me." Ino said running in with an IV Of water to rehydrate Sakura. "Her breathing is erratic, she's lost too much blood. Unless we can replace it she's not going to recover." Just then Temari burst through he door. She had a medical shoulder bag filled with blood packs of Sakura's blood type. She set the bag down near Ino, and right way they set to work. Once they blood started flowing, Sakura seemed to start getting better. Her breathing evened out, and she regained a small amount of color. "We need to move her upstairs, sitting here isn't doing her any good. Temari, get her feet. Hinata, I need you to carry the IV Bag." Hinata and Temari nodded, and on three, they lifted Sakura. They carefully set Sakura down on the bed, and Hung the IV bag from one of the rings on the frame. "We need to get her out of these bloody clothes." Ino said taking off Sakura's ninja sandals. "We're going to have to completely wrap her arm too. Then make her a sling. I think a cast would be a bad idea for a would like this." "I think you're right, the weight of the cast on her arm might stress her shoulder wound. I think a sling should be more than sufficient." "So she's going to be alright then?" Temari asked sounding worried. Ino looked at her and sighed. "She's made it through the worst of it, but she's lost a lot of blood. Her body's been through a pretty serious trauma. If she can recover, It might be awhile before she can use her arm again. But she has a good chance of recovery." "What should we do about him?" Tenten said tossing the unconscious Kabuto on the floor. "Strip him naked, take everything, even his glasses. Then put one of the chakra control collars on him and lock him in the empty cage on the right side." Tenten nodded and started working. She quickly stripped Kabuto naked, and locked the collar around his neck. She took off his glasses, and set them on the table beside the bed. Then she lifted him up and tossed him in the cage. She then closed the heavy metal door and locked it. "Take his clothes down to the sitting room and lock them in that big trunk by the fire place. I don't want to take any chances." Tenten nodded and rushed to complete the task. Ino and Hinata had wrapped every finger on Sakura's left hand, then her arm all the way to her collarbone in soft white bandages. Then they put her arm in a white cloth sling, and did their best to immobilize it. "What now?" Temari asked pacing "Now we wait. I want Naruto to leave a clone in here as often as he can handle it to Watch Kabuto. He's not to be let out of that cage for any reason." Sakura suddenly say bolt upright. She winced as pain shot through her arm. She slowly lowered herself down onto the bed again. She tried to call out for Ino. But her throat was so dry almost sound came out. She looked around and noticed a a big silver bell tied to a rope above the bed. She reached out and rung the bell. Right away she heard someone sprinting up the stairs. She saw Ino burst through the door with tears in her eyes. She set down on the bed next to Sakura's good arm. Sakura tried to say something, but again there was no sound. Ino held out a water bottle and helped Sakura drink. "How long have I been asleep?" Sakura asked when she could use her voice. "Almost a week. I was starting to worry that you weren't going to wake up" Ino said with tears starting to fall from her eyes. "Oh you silly girl, get down here and give me a kiss" Sakura said using her good arm to pull Ino close for a long kiss. Sakura rested for the rest of the day. But that night she went outside. It was hard to walk since her legs were stiff room being asleep for a week. She walked past the tree, and started to flash back to the night of the attack. But Ino's gentle squeeze on her hand pulled her out of it. She went into the barn and woke Kin. Kin looked happy to see her. "Kin I have an important question for you. If you had to get a message to Orochimaru do you think you could do it?" Kin thought about it for awhile. "I think so Mistress." "Good, I may need that later. Thank you for your help Kin, sorry for bothering you in the middle of the night." "That's alright Mistress!" Kin said smiling. Sakura locked the barn and headed for the house. "What have you been doing with Kabuto?" "He's locked in a cage upstairs in the bedroom." Sakura nodded. "Good, I think it's time I teach him a little lesson."
