Laxus P.O.V.

"Tch, what? Did you think I would be alone forever?" I snapped while Lucy giggled.

"Well of course!" His answer made Lucy laugh harder. He looked at her. "And who is the unfortunate girl?"

"I happen to like this one." She poked her thumb at me. "I'm just surprised you don't remember me, Gildarts." She fake pouted, which made her just adorable. "I'm hurt."

"L-Lucy?!" He hugged her tightly. "Welcome back!"

She returned his hug, wholeheartedly. "It took me long enough, didn't it?" They released each other and she was comfortably back by my side. "I missed you, you old fart."

"Who you calling old? I'm only 45!" Gildarts laughed.

"So, you're finally back from that 100-year quest, eh?" I asked.

"I failed." He gestured to his arm and leg. "I'm happy I made it back alive to see you back home, Lucy. You picked yourself an idiot, but you're a smart girl. You pick up where he slacks off. You'll make a good wife." He teased. I decided to let the comment slide… For now.

Lucy blushed. I wrapped my arms around her. "Of course, she would. She acted like my wife when we were kids. And if I recall right, you held a huge rock over my head and told me that if I even thought about another girl you'd smash my skull in."

She giggled. "Yeah and after that, I recall you saying you'd marry me when we were older. I take it my threats paid off, Laxus Dreyar." She smirked.

"You were a rather… violent child when it came to Laxus, weren't you?" Gildarts mused.

I finally took notice that the guild had gone silent for quite a long time. They were quietly watching our exchange. "Oi! You idiots going to welcome him home or not?"

The crowd roared with laughter and greetings. I pulled Lucy up to the second floor, barely escaping the onslaught of hugs/fights for/with Gildarts. We watched silently, hand in hand. The guild suddenly got quiet, they formed a circle around Gildarts and Natsu.

"No, Gildarts. We aren't. We can't. Lisanna's dead. She's been for two years now."

Lucy looked up at me, that questioning look on her face.

"Lisanna came at the same time you left. I think you two were pretty close despite you were only in the guild at the same time for a few days. It might even be less. You remember the little white-haired girl?" I whispered to her.

A flash of recognition crossed her face. "Is she really dead, Laxus?"

"It's a possibility. Though, Mira and Elfman both say that she disappeared into thin air, so there was no body to bury. I think she would have returned home by now if she was alive." I sighed and glanced back down at the scene unfolding below. Mira had become hysterical and Elfman tried to comfort her all the while glaring at Natsu.

"We all know you just think of her as a replacement of Lisanna! Face the fact that it's not her Natsu! It's the reason you keep going after her. She's not Lisanna! She's Lucy!" Gray shouted.

Lucy stiffened next to me. I became furious. "We've all come to enjoy having her around because she brings light into Fairy Tail. She isn't a replacement. She was here before Lisanna, before Natsu, Erza, Gray, Mirajane, she was here before most of brats, and so don't you dare call her a replacement." I roared from the second floor.

"Oh god." Gramps came out of his office to see what was going on.

"Who the hell pissed of Laxus?" Bixlow asked from the doorway. "You should know by know that's not a smart thing to do."

"Is she really that good in bed, Laxus? Is she actually worth keeping around?" Natsu roared. "You're replacing Lisanna too. With that whore."

Lucy's fists clenched and she stormed downstairs. The crowd parted as she made her way to Natsu. Her body was sparking and I faintly heard the pitter-patter of rain outside. "Excuse me, Natsu? Care to repeat that to my face?" He hands were gripped tightly over the Key of Leo.

I just leaned against the railing and smirked. That's right, my woman was feisty. "Go get him, baby-chan!" I said loud enough for the room to hear. He was stupid to insult her in front of me, but to insult her to me in front of her. Ha, he's gonna die now.

"I'm waiting, Flame-Ass." She was only a few feet from him.

Gildarts, Gramps and I were laughing our tails off. I wouldn't be surprised if we had to rebuild the guild hall again after this fight, but not because of Natsu, because of Lucy. She was a destructive nature when she's pissed.

"I meant what I said."

This time Macao and Wakaba joined in our howls of laughter.

"Last words?" She asked with a demonic glint in her eyes.

"What?" Natsu said stupidly.

She smirked. "Thunder Storm! Holy Water Bullet! Jet Stream! Open! Gate of the Lion! Leo!" First a thunder cloud appeared above Natsu's head, than rained on and shocked by it. She shot white water bullets at him which he managed to dodge most of them even after the shock. Then she sent a high speed stream of water at him. She called out Leo, I guess she got bored after just a few attacks, then again Natsu wasn't fighting back yet. "Loke! Go!"

"I heard everything, Natsu. You dared to insult my Princess! Feel the wrath of Regulus!" Loke threw punch after punch after punch at Natsu. Finally, when the poor bastard was bleeding profusely out of his nose I decided to calm her down.

"Babe? Think that's enough? I believe you've proven your point, but if there's a next time, don't hold back so much, okay?"

She looked up and smiled at me. "Should have I gone harder on him?"

"Probably. Come on, let's go get some food, I'm starving." I headed downstairs, passed my pissing-himself-laughing-on-the-floor, Grandfather. She waited at the bottom of the stairs and when I reached her I draped my arm around her shoulders, further proving my claim on her. We walked out the silent guild hall, silent except for Macao, Wakaba, Gildarts, and Gramps, who were still pissing themselves.

"Hey Laxus?" She asked after we left the guild hall.

"Yeah,"

"Why didn't you fight Natsu?"

"Hopefully, you knocking the shit out of him like you did, will tell him not to challenge you like that. You deserve some respect. I just can't believe he said you had the guts to call you a replacement of Lisanna to me. I knew you before I knew Lisanna. He needs to get his facts straight before making assumptions like that."

"Laxus!"

I turned around to see Bixlow, Evergreen, and Freed running over to us.

"What's wrong?" Lucy asked.

"Miss Lucy, I congratulate you on your victory against Natsu. Flame-Ass was very clever." Freed smiled.

"Yeah, that was awesome! I never knew you could do that holy magic with water bullets."

"Oh? That? Well, before I arrived at Fairy Tail, I stopped at a Zentopian Church and they taught me a few Holy Water spells. It's nothing, really."

She was laughing and smiling at them, I'm glad. She hasn't really been all that close to Fairy Tail lately. At least she was beginning to warm-up to the Thunder God Tribe.
