Chapter 3: The Prosecutor

The combined teams were ushered into a small office that barely fit the occupants.

"Let's take this into the conference room, shall we?" A woman of tall height and slender build said. As the filed out the woman began introducing herself.

"I'm Sherri Dubshire. I will be the prosecutor for this case." She said.

"Tough case?" Abby asked.

"You probably only realize half the battle." She said, as the group entered the conference room.

"Okay, the hardest fight will be getting the judge to accept all of your hard work as evidence." Sherri stated, starting the meeting that would hopefully give her enough info to lay out a battle plan.

"What do you mean getting our evidence accepted?" Tony asked.

"It's Tony, right?" She asked, pausing only long enough for him to nod.

"Your footwork and logic should be simple enough to get accepted. I was referring to Abby, Nell and Eric's work. The wizarding world doesn't know what DNA or the MPD is." She said. There were several nods of understanding.

"So what do you need to know from us to help get it accepted?" Eric asked.

"I need to know what the acronyms stand for and a basic understanding of what they are." She replied. The techs and scientist quickly jumped in and orderly went through each acronym and what it was and why they were able to use it in a court of law. Next Ducky and Jimmy explained what they did.

"Thank you for that I think I can work everything else out. I appreciate the patience you've shown so I can understand." She said.

"No prob." The forensic scientist said.

The next day rose early for all the teams. They all met outside of the ministry.

"Ready for the attacks on everything they could manage to scrap together?" Roberts asked. There were various sounds of confirmation. When they were in the lobby they were met by Mrs. Dubshire herself.

"If you'll follow me, I'll lead you to the courtroom." She said. Timothy found this odd.

"Why didn't you have one of your aides do it?" He asked.

"Because I don't have many aides and they are working just as much as me to prepare for this trial." She explained.

"I'm sorry." Tim said.

"Don't be. The rewards outweigh the work." She said.

"What are the rewards?" Harry asked.

"The reward I really care about is this will be the first victory for muggles being on equal footing with wizards." She said.

"That hasn't changed?" Callen asked, thinking back on Draco.

"Most quote-unquote 'pure blood' families have renounced their view that pure blood is better then blood that has muggle blood running through it but wizards still believe that their way is superior to the muggle way." She explained as the group arrived at the court room doors.

Once everyone was seated the bailiff called out.

"All rise for the honorable Judge Castrall."
