Hello Everyone, thanks for the reviews, favs and follows. I greatly appreciate everything. !
Before you begin reading I strongly encourage you to re-read chapter 5, I made a major change. I changed Axel from having no parents to having a Mom who gave him up, I felt it was a better way for this story to progress.
Note: The Italicized part is Axel's thought process of his past? No Lie I was a bit confused on how to write that beginning part. I also didn't know how to differentiate the past and the present.
Please enjoy :)
F is for Family
On a list of things to be taken for granted, family should probably be listed as number one. What some of us don't realize is that family is not to be taken for granted, it's supposed to be appreciated, and its supposed to be something we are lucky to have. Sadly, not everyone looks at it that way or one should say not everyone has it that way. That's how it was for Axel, He didn't have anybody. He grew up in an Orphanage, after his mom had given him away. It wouldn't have been so bad if she gave him away when he was a baby. In fact it would have been completely fine. At least that way he could say he never knew the feeling of having family and then having it all snatched away from him.
At the tender age of 7, Axel's mom decided it would be best if she didn't continue to take care of him. He wasn't really sure why, maybe it was because of financial reasons or maybe she simply didn't want a son anymore but what ever the reason, he didn't want to think of her as a bad person. From what he remembers she was a tall slender woman, she had black hair, unlike his hair from whom he got from his father, and she had green eyes just like his. His mom was beautiful, even though he wasn't sure if her heart was as beautiful as she was.
"Somethings are better off not knowing." Axel had stated to his self. He was sitting on the couch at Roxas and Sora's house. He had gotten lost in his thoughts while watching his blonde hair boyfriend and his twin argue over absolutely nothing. He sat there watching them with a faint smile on his face. It must have been nice to have family, to have a brother who you can argue with, a mom and a dad who cared about you. All that must be real nice.
Roxas plopped down on the couch next to Axel, after he and Sora finished arguing. He looked tired and a bit worn down. Sora took a lot of energy to argue with. "I swear, I just don't know what to say to him sometimes." Roxas shook his head at the thought. "I mean, we're 18 now, we have to start taking more responsibility." Axel looked at his boyfriend, and smiled faintly. "It may seem bad, but at least you have a brother to argue with." After hearing Axel say that Roxas' face softened and he forgot all about he and Sora's argument. He knew Axel was an orphan, and he knew it was a sensitive topic for him.
"Axel." Roxas had began to speak but Axel cut him off. "Roxas, I'm fine seriously. No need to get all pouty face on me. I was just saying it's nice to have family, so don't take it for granted." At that moment Roxas grabbed Axel's hand, and turned to face him. Once they were looking into each others eyes Roxas said, "You know, my family is your family. So from here on out, I never want to hear you say you don't have any family, okay?" Roxas gave his boyfriend a stern look, and Axel simply nodded his with a smile. Axel didn't want to show it on the outside, but on the inside he was quite happy. It was gonna be nice to have people he could call family, and it was definitely something he could get use too.
And with that the Chapter has ended. I'm actually really proud of this chapter. I hope you guys enjoy it, and please review. Thanks :)
